Its hard to make decision base on package price...coz the price depends on MTM or OTR gowns n materials. It will be more ex if u select MTM, lace gowns. I took the OTR WG, MTM EG, didnt have PS, not french lace gown...and my package is about 3k plus.
Its best that all of u can make a trip down n see the gown personally....i like all the gowns i have seen so far. Everytime i go to ALW for discussion...i will sure see nice gowns which i have not seen b4.

I think her OTR is about 1k cheaper than the MTM package. I think i checked with them in Dec, they said prob not doing any shows. So i guess, the price is about as good as it gets for now. They work with Chris Ling, Ave 8 etc, but can't rem cos i'll be working with my own photographer =)

Hi shottingstarz ya she was from SIL i heard. Her price is similar, but it depends very much on the gown u select. You cant compare a lace gown with a normal one.
In fact previously, i cant decide between them. I like SIL & ALW gowns. In the end i choose ALW over SIL, because i like Amanda's color embro gown and the exclusive feeling i have when i meet her.

thx summerice, so amanda adds more colour to her gown..thats intersting.. me not so much into laces but more to beadings & embroidery work.. I t would be great if she specialise in that too? Btw, is it alright to bring pix of the gowns we like in on the ist appt so tht we can ve a quote? Also, hear dthat SIL does not provide extra gown for pS & charge $50 for dry cleaning the gown.. how about Amanda?
shootingstarz ya thats her strength....most of the gowns i saw is with color embro. U are doing MTM gown? u can bring along if thats what u want her to MTM and ask her to quote base on that...and what other things u need to include in ur package. Oh as for the extra gown thing i am not sure if can nego with them, they actually give u ur own gown during PS which those 1stop bs dont. I didnt do PS so not very sure about the details u can ask her. Its the same on the dry cleaning.

So as along as u select those designer bs their package will be like maybe about 3k min...this price can be lower or higher depends on what u want in the package. Like the material u select, MTM WG or OTR, which photographer u want, do u want to have tea dress, EG, makeup, flowers, type of suit. Yup SIL is silhouette, the price difference is not significant. If let say u have the same items n gown materials in ur package maybe its less then $400.
Ultimately it depends on which gown u like and who u feel comfortable with.

BB Queen really? Hmmmmm then i will check it out when i do my fitting. I took her OTR gown...again this depends on what material u are taking. If its a full lace gown then more ex...or if u want her to do add on to the existing gown it will cost also.
If u already know what kind of gown u want, u can show it to her to MTM. If u take OTR because of what u heard then u may not be able to find what u like.
Just an estimate base on my own package...about 1k difference if i take MTM n OTR but that depends very much on design, material.

Her packages does not includes any PS. Which means my mtm packages $4000++ and top up $1k++ depends on which photographer u choose. And oso remember u have to pay 4 yr own actual day PG. For me my sum works out to be ard $8k. hope this helps.

And for some brides, they can't take a different opinion (well, some pple are just like that lah...). Sometimes, the look we want don't turn out the way we envision it to be, coz we may not understand our body shapes well...eg. we think halter neck suits us, but actually it doesn't...kinda thing.
For me, my MTM gown was above my expectations. Ok, I really shouldn't play up anyone's expectations here...but my point is, as long as you openly and whole-heartedly discuss your view/opinions/what you want on the gown, with Amanda/Miah, you should be able to get the kind of gown that you want. The key is to communicate openly.

can you share your experience with Amanda with me... does she really deliver the goods, how s the workmanship, and service after i sign up?
i am thinking of getting the Andrew choi PS, any of you have experience with him? i am concerned that the PS packages only give you 20 photos, hence will most likely have to top up photos right? and cost will add up [$4K + $2K + extra photos!!!???]
what about MUA? i prefer simple makeup and hairdo..i wonder if AL has such MUA??

I had just done my first fitting. I am happy with my gowns. My WG have lace added to it, she is not stingy at all, she even ask me if i wanted more.
As for MUA, she has a few, u just need to tell her your style she will pick one for u. For me, after a few meeting with her she knows what kind of MUA will suit me, so she pick it for me. U can also specify which one u like and she can book the MUA for u.
So far, i am very happy working with her, no complains.
In fact, she is very professional, she make sure that her gown are nicely done and her bride will look beautiful in them.

i am quite curious, so if i just sign up for the gowns part without photography, i would have to find separate pre-wedding PS and i can only use the 2 gowns for the PS? is that right?

yes if u take some PG not under her list, but she got many so u can check it first. Yup only the gowns u will wear for AD will be use for PS. Not sure if u can loan more, but they believe in using ur real gown for PS even if u are doing outdoor.
I think those u are refering to are not designer BS. They usually can give u many gowns for PS but not AD gowns for outdoor.

PS is separate from her gowns package. Although when you take the bundle, it may be slightly cheaper than if you had gone to the PG direct. I think it's the same with other designer BS such as BV and Ted Wu. Perhaps one can say that ALW is more "transparent" about the cost of PS. Different PG charge different package. She actually lists down the various bundled packages with the different PGs.
