$950 for sliding glass kitchen door?


hi all,
I had my contract to supply and install one set 12mm thick frameless tempered glass door with floor spring for my office conference room. He charge me at $750. However,does not include the frost, as initally we did not want to frost it.

Anyone heard of a type of aluminmiun frame glass door which is a slide door cum it can be open from right or left side, which is quite flexible..??

my is a push-pull type of temper glass door coz no place to install sliding type.

i install to separate kitchen from living rm so that when im cooking, i can close it. my is 1 big panel (abt same size as bedrm door) with 1 small panel at the side. my contractor quoted me S$380 for supply and install.
 
hi angel, so sorry but my contractor says currently its hard for him to do anymore reno works coz he hv on hand quite a few already.
 
and for me, i only wanted a piece of glass seperating the kitchen n living room, and i'm already quoted $800. not even a sliding door. think i'm gonna drop this contractor.

hee mine is so special price tat not too conveient to place on forum, :p Yi Zhen contractor the company and the guy zheng wah.. my collegue uncle, v young but then.. and due to my soecial price, if i not wrong there is a delay in delivery, waited 3 days keep on changing date.. but cant get angry cos price definetely v low :p my collegue belinda, so you jus say belinda (ah mei) 's collegue recommend.. and see if he give good price or not.. no harm trying.. donno can get special price or not :p jus try

Applezz here, saw a number of you asking for the prices and contact. actually i have stated them in earlier posts.

The thickness of my tempered glass is 12mm, the normal one is 10mm. My glass door is for 7 feet, 3.5feet fixed panel and 3.5 feet sliding glass door. I pay $1500 for 12mm thickness. if i would have taken the 10mm, it will be $1250

Visited couple of lighting shop lately, seems crystal is back in fashion. Any one can recommend a good bargain shop cos those at balestier are selling like 700++
 
Hello all, do you have to indicate the number of panels for the sliding door when you neg. with the contractor? What are the details we need to sort out before engaging 1 to do up the sliding door?

Me also looking for contractors, anyone here bot a resale flat thru ERA? heard they have their own contractors and if u buy house from an ERA agent, they will do it at a subsidised price. So any experience/advice? How much is a good budget to set aside for reno for a 5 room flat? Maybe jus to do up the dining, kitchen and toilet area with walk-in wardrobe? Thanks! btw, if there are cracks on the wall, shd i b concerned? it is a 5 room flat in Senja area and they say it is not structural but still if i buy that place, will it be a recurring prob? how much would it be to fix that up?
 
Hi Mabel, i didnt get those crystal lights. I walked around Balestier and eventually bought my 3 simple lights for my MBR and 2 common rooms from Ivan at Singapore Lighting Mart. Not too sure whether it is the cheapest but at least the price that he quoted was the cheapest among those that I visiting. He is sincere and onz..He tested all the lights for me to ensure that they are all working before giving them to me..

I did not get from him during my first visit. Told him that we will KIV the light. And he is okie with it and didnt kick a fuss or show black face. Good salesperson.
 
hi guys... i'm kinda new here.. was shopping at imm for new fuiture when i saw a shop selling in doors.. they have sliding and framless glass doors tat could be use as kitchen doors.. and they provide installation and warrenty.. the prices were abt 400+ to 500+ i tink.. no harm giving it a try... i think for this type contractor's price they charge quite high because they usually do a package one..... think the shop's name is besglas no harm going and take a look..

Really? You got any recommendation? I had nightmare previously doing up my home with ID; realised that they marked up everything... in fact, they outsource to many parties and in the end, we coordinate with their sub-contractors as the person IC always not on-site.

I am looking for someone reliable (not china tiler) to do wetworks for toilet, and kitchen carpetry.
 
hmm, u mean last time u did, ur ID doesn't help u to in charge of everything? then is bad bad!

in my package, my ID quoted me $680.. but i din get it due to tight budget now, thus may install later. and he claims even i install later - he will still quote me e same price, exact what he told me now.

so far, my tiles all up. 2 toilets + kitchen. my hb went to see the tiles work yest and we will go dwn again tonight. u wan me to update u aftertat? so far my hb claims ok, but will go 'investigate' 1 more time.

what u intend to do?
