Congrats and Cheers !! We are both raffles Marina BTB :) We went to Bows on Friday then went to raffles Marina on sat and sun we booked our package. HTB and I love the place and the fact that there will be mrt next yr. so looking forward to it. As Long as it is our ideal venue, who care if it is far west haha. We are the main highlight for our wedding, so we choose what and where we like! So happy to see that someone else picked the same location as us.
Yes! I'm very happy too. Hahaha. Because I feel assured now. Since someone said their food is nice. Mine is Philip! Had a lot experience from previous hotel before he came to raffles marina. Such funny and friendly guy. Easy to talk to. :) I guess you have him too? Since I spot him in your photos. Lol

Haha! No I am with Jasmine. But Philip is indeed a nice and funny guy:) he took the effort to show us around. I am so looking forward now:)

Usually 10 tables.... but because hotel prices are so expensive we manage to work out a fixed amt with my mum hahas (a price between hotel and restaurant 10 tables)

Wow 10 tables sound alot! Can share what's the fixed amount? Think this topic likely an issue for most brides

I think the norm is the sum add up ~ 10K, meaning if per table is $1500, is around 7 tables
 
Hi ladies, I just booked Amara Sanctuary Sentosa Glass Pavillion and Buffet Lunch package in Sept 2017.
Sales rep was very honest and straight forward about all costs. =)
 
Nope im not. Why? You want to book their rooms? I think can nego. $180 per night if I rmb correctly?
Haha no la.. The banquet comes with 2 rooms already, Asking because member got extra benefit of 10% discount. Was thinking if can save more haha

Discount for banquet? Not that i know of. They told you there is? Maybe you can try hunt for members, though i always see alot of ang mohs there. Haha. I actually nego/change to two more rooms for our families by exchanging the anniversary dinner and invitation cards.
 
I realised my date in September 2017 falls under the Hungry Ghost Festival, Me and partner are not the superstitious kind. but is there anything I can do to appease the older folks in the family? I really don't want to change the date cos it's really meaningful.

Hi dear, I did consider Orchid Country Club but gave this option a miss after reviewing the accessibility and ballroom. Frankly, their grand ballroom is the nicest that no hotels can beat (Super high ceiling and spacious, pillarless) if you are thinking of other ballrooms, skip OCC. In addition as the number of tables I'm getting is lesser than their minimum 35-40 tables, I did not choose OCC in the end. Happy hunting!

If your family members don't reside near Yishun, highly likely you need to pay extra for transport to fetch them too, unless you are comfortable to get them to hop on their scheduled bus.

Yes, i was also thinking the location is inconvenient. but then again, the guest will think of ways to get there right? Most important is we like the place. min 35-40 tables is too many for me, i am looking at small number, 10-15 tables. The rates is also within our budget.

I was also thinking of doing a buffet wedding, not sure if raffles marina suits. I scared hot and sweaty if i do outdooor.
So dilema, don't know which to choose.

Yes yes, I kpo and ask what discount do member entitle to, and yes they have 10% discount. Ours is 1 bridal room and 1 standard room. We Nv change as still dunno the plan yet. If no one wants to stay then we will change to 2 night bridal room :)

Hi! Initially I wanted outdoor too (for the view). But they say it is a must to use marquee now, in case of rain. Not sure will have additional costs though. And catering will be of different restaurant too if im not wrong. Must check with them. :)

Actually I check with the sales, she said is alright if we can find someone with member, anyway the contract haven sign. But my HTB say it is ok if don't have. So Nv put too much effort to find also haha:)

Hi all, do U all know where can I hold a banquet that allow 10 tables (estimated) ?
I think quite a few venues allow, even though it's not stated in the package, you need to email them to ask. Besides Fullerton, I think Pan Pac, Sheraton, Park Royal Pickering allow 10 tables too. I can only think of these few right now.

hello fellow brides to be! I am getting married next year and I'm just starting to find out more about bridal services... Can anyone recommend which bridal boutique has good service and good packages? There are so many bridal boutiques and I have no idea where to start!!!!! ><

I just saw an open house event on facebook from Luna Bianca bridal boutique on the 28 to 31 of this month, looks quite attractive and their website is quite nice also but I have very little knowledge in these bridal packages . If you guys don't mind, can share with me the bridal boutique that you guys signed up with and their package details so I can have something to compare?

  • Village Hotel Katong - Min 8 Tables 728++ onwards
  • York Hotel - Min 12 - 1068/1168 nett
  • Pan Pacific Orchard - Max 12 tables
  • Royal Plaza on Scotts - Max 11 tables

haha, hotel is the first milestone! i'm procrastinating on the bridal packages and photoshoot >.< too many to choose from. Anyone has any recommendations???

Also want to check if anyone has heard before of ROM during lunch banquet? My fengshui master is Mr David Tong, and the timings for my wedding lunch are really tight (fetch the bride - 9am to 11am; ROM - 1pm to 3pm). An alternative is to have my ROM on another day but that means additional day of work + cost... headache!

Hi @ahchew, I went to see David Tong for my wedding as well, and I have the same timings as you! Planning to have all on the same day, just have to squeeze and make things work. Hoping to sign and complete ROM by 1.15pm and immediately start the banquet lunch at 1.30pm!

Hello, i would advise you to go My Bridal Room at Bugis and Venus at JB. I am also getting married at Year 2017.

I asked many couples around and been to a few shop and felt these 2 are the best.

My bridal room - recommended by many users in this forum and my best friend who done research for me by visiting almost all the bridal shop in SG. She recommended me this shop as she felt this shop gave her the sincere and comfortable feeling compared to other shops. I felt their service is more honest and Sincere compare to other roadshow bridal stores. They are selling their package slightly higher than other bridal shop but they will tell you all cost upfront which is about 3.3k to 3.6k on how you negotiate. Many bridal shop only 2k plus or 3k but there are many hidden cost at the back and not provided.

Venus (JB) - I visited a few shop at JB as I tot it will be practical to sign a package there given the exchange rate now. Their package is 4.8kRM to 5.8kRM. It provides more scenary than SG definately. However, I felt the gown in SG is better quality and newer and worn lesser times than JB one. My bf was disappointed with the quality of suit and shoes provided. However, if you are ok with poor quality but looks nice on photo, you can consider photoshoot there. They can provide gown on actual day but no flower deco on actual day. However, you will need prepare your own transport of gown back and forth JB.

On top of that you will need to think about the number of times you will need to go JB.

In conclusion, it depends of you want convenience or not.
Remember that wedding preparation is once a lifetime and try to do more research before signing any package.

Hi ladies! Finally I found someone talking abt Raffles Marina! because so far there are no thread about it. Haha. I've book with them BOWS'15 for 18/2/17! Because need to take note possibility of rain for the outdoor solemnization and feb is dry phase of monsoon season #prayhard. Went back to check their price during BOWS'16, they have not increase yet. Perks are the same for the 20 tables and above. :) went to the venue a few times and took lots of photos haha

I am not sure about your videographer but my videographer do not require a place to shower. All they require is a power plug and table to edit. Preferably in our hotel room so he can seek our advice.

Hi! I booked last year, 800++ per table of 10. This bows event is the same as well not sure if they will increase at the next. I found their wedding pdf at some wedding forum. You want i can email them to you. :) maybe you want to check with them if they still hold the bows event perks.
