Yes I've firm up my date on 25 Feb 2017. Frankly date is the very first thing to settle before anything else. This will determine your choices if they are available to service you. Good luck!

Wow.... me and my fiance is looking at 25th Feb lunch as well but yet to confirm. Need to wait for his parents side to agree with the date. We are also looking to settle on the banquet as soon as possible since it is a popular date.

I am a 25 Feb BTB too but doing dinner!!! Its coincidentally our anniversary so we didn't calculate for an auspicious date. Feeling at ease now with so many people getting married on the same date!!

We have yet to decide lunch or dinner yet. Or rather might do it the next day (Sun). It's still an open discussion with fiancé. But solemnisation is set on 25th.

Hurray for all 25th Feb BTBs! I set this date just purely looking at online auspicious date and also because it's our 8th year anniversary date too. I've confirmed my venue at Hilton, while Ivy93 chose MBS.

most popular venues are being taken up quite fast, so much headache. i hrd the banquet rates goes up by 15% every year ?!!

Hi susiesusanto, you are right. But not all hotel practice to raise till 15%, some might be additional $50++ or $80++ increase per table etc. Do sign up for credit cards when you pay the deposit to earn some rebates back! I got AMEX Ture Cashback Card and got back $250.00 cash for my $5000.00 deposit. Good luck!
We had a few places in mind but after looking at the popularity of this day ( 25th Feb 2017), I am a little anxious about the availability as we only can confirm and book after Chinese New Year.

I'm taking mine in this April. I think it's better to take earlier because they do need time to edit and process your photos and albums (for oversea photoshoot) but local preferably few months before wedding should be fine. Hehe.

haha thanks for the reassurance. yeah, I'll be taking local photoshoot to save some cost before the htb complains. gonna start picking out bridal studios some time next month and slowly visit them throughout the year to choose gowns

Hi Ying1098, not sure if this will work, but a suggestion to you. You can go and visit your preferred sites first and build rapport with the coordinator. Tell them you would like to "reserve" the date and ballroom preferred till CNY. If anytime before you can get back and other couples are keen, get the coordinator to inform you in advance so you can act accordingly. Hope this will work for you to manage your available venues.

Hi hi! I'm getting lunch with Hilton, booked Vista room because of the pillarless design and chandeliers. Price in comparison with other 5 star hotels I would say is v competitive (or slightly cheaper!). I booked on Oct 2015 where the coordinator extended 2016 rates for my 25 Feb 2017 wedding (since at that time 2017 rates not out, and it's beginning of 2017). If now the 2017 rates is out, it will be hard for you to nego the rates, only can squeeze more for perks. All the best!

You can consider UOB One, for 3.33% rebates. But you need to spend consistently for 3 months. You can check the terms & condition again. All price listed all excluding gst and service charge. Do note some hotels change of menu will incur extra charge.

Correction, the listed price might be after taxes, as some hotels charge net fees. Best is to email the hotel directly to confirm.

Omg yea! Initially the date was soft booked by another couple. We decided within few days after meeting Wendy seems like 25 nov is a popular date too! Which venue are you eyeing now?
Haha actually I only saw The Aisle Bridal and Beautiful Love before. Love The Aisle Bridal's photos and the korean concept studio. However, i chose beautiful love becauSe its more affordable and their photos are good too! Service is perfect so far
