I'm with MDW. so far my experience with them was great! I just did my PS in March. Experience was great! the pg and mua were gd even the asst pg too! now waiting for my album to be ready to collect!

Initially, I was also worried abt the bad reviews abt them after i sign up with them. i guess i'm quite lucky as everything was so far so gd! I think it also really depends on coordinator ba. just my two cents. :)
thank you for your assurance Alina. care to share who is your coordinator, mua & pg?

Any reviews on Bridal Veil? I was reading another thread but somehow the discussion stopped in 2013. I have generally see pretty good reviews about them, and I like their designs but is concerned that with MTM, there will be alot of hidden costs and BV will make you top up alot subsequently. Any experience to share?

hahaha! seriously, what are the guys thinking mannnn.

but my boyf proposed again later in the evening, during the erm, more romantic dinner.

later on, he told me the dinner proposal was his initial actual plan - which has very high chance of me guessing it- so he decided to change plans and do it in the early morning while i'm half-aslp -_- but he carried on with the dinner proposal since he had already planned it (don't wanna waste his brain juices), plus it will confirm be a surprise since i would never guess that he will propose twice -_-

but to answer the 2nd proposal, i waved the ring at him and said "sorry, i'm already taken" :D
Haha good one. Mine never purpose again
.. grrrrt

which locations are you looking at? :D maybe some of them got recent roadshows etc, u can ask whether u can be entitled to the promo rates?

interested in fullerton, st regis, w hotel, gbtb, and crowne. okay all diff budget range lol. shows that we haven't really sat down and shortlist the venue yet :(

i think should draft guest list first to see how many tables we need. and confirm my boyf's budget and likings first when he comes back to sg..

actually i don't feel like having it in dec. cos seems abit rushed and if we have no particular likings for any dec dates, then shouldn't squeeze with the majority i think..

Roadshows.. look out for advertisements? ;) the coordinators will kind of standby onsite to guide you. Best if you can get their contact before you go so they can attend to you on priority.

yeah scrolling through the wedding shows schedule in singaporebrides.. lol.

It is one of my shortlisted BS. I recently attended their show and they really have nice gowns. I'm not sure if they have any hidden costs but they have 2 packages.. I know you can keep the night gown and the package include groom's suit (for keep). also include rental of kwa if I remember correctly.

I'm choosing my wedding date between 17 Oct and 22 Nov!
any venues available on both dates?

Hi all, i'm a 22 Nov 15 btb =). I've booked MBS for my dinner banquet. They will be having a roadshow this Sat at MBS and the perks are quite attractive.

Hi dear,

may I ask how many tables are you having and how much the hotel have quoted you?

I'm thinking of booking with MBS too. =)

Hi Vonneylove!

I took 20 tables which is the minimum no. of tables required but would add on if required when the wedding is nearing. The nett price should be around $1360 (for each table) after 10% discount. They are offering 10% discount for couples that booked on their roadshow.

Hi Babe, emailed you the packages, except Parkroyal Beach Road & Swissotel because I have those in hard copy.

I myself have booked Parkroyal Beach Road, their ballrooms have been renovated last year and looks gorgeous, so my SO & I booked our banquet with them. Our Coordinator is Felicia and she is very helpful.

I went to Parkroyal at Pickering as well. Service was horrible as the coordinator kept pushing for us to go "view" the venue ourselves, not even willing to arrange for a meet-up, so we forgo them, cannot imagine what kind of services they are providing to their potential customers.
That's horrible! Which coordinator? But park royal Pickering had lots of good review though personally I'd experienced a week + lag in response to confirmation of my package offered. Place was nice though. Park royal beach rd is supposedly 4 stars right? But more expensive than Pickering which is supposedly 5 stars. The beach rd coordinator called me and said that they're having an ongoing promotion of less $100 off each table

I'm still waiting for bf to propose though.......PS in Sept and he has yet to do so.... ewwww
Saving or looking for a nice ring maybe? Or making major plans for it. :) I was peeved about having to wait a ruddy long time myself; and I felt guilty being sour about waiting because it was definitely well worth it ;)

I'm also new here, very informative forum. Not sure if there are moderators from the vendors though! But most comments seem legit so far. The difference I know is that all park royal hotels here are 4 stars except Pickering which is 5. Pickering is the newest hotel outlook and interior very impressive. Not so sure about the guest table centrepiece though. Very simple only. But overall nice. We shortlisted it but gave up as coordinator took a week + lag in follow up/ confirming our package discussed. So we decided on another venue. But he did accede to our requests and perks as we opted for no alcoholic beverages. He also gave me extra bridal night suite automatically. Park royal beach rd recently renovated looks nice but the main part of the building facing main street still old looking ballroom looks nice from pictures. currently price quoted for 2015 to me was $200 per table more expensive than Pickering. But they told me there's a $100 discount per table. I thought was too expensive so didn't pursue. You might wanna go actual site recce and speak with the sales managers to get a better feel yourself to see which u prefer. It's the overall feel- ballroom, decors, sales manager serving you, rest of the hotel building, food reviews. Pickering chef was previously from st Regis and Marriott. Dunno abr beach rd

Yep the promotion has been going on for quite some time. Both hotels are supposedly 4 stars, just that Pickering is more towards boutique hotel. Ive seen people commenting on the service at Pickering as well, so I am not the only one that got tardy service.

Hi ladies,

May I ask what is the use of engaging a wedding planner? Will he or she acts as the mid person and liaise with the sales person from the hotel which I will be booking?
Actually I'm quite confused with the responsibilities of a wedding planner. LOL! =)

Hi Babe

Wedding planner offer different packages depending on what you need and how much you are willing to spend, the full service of the wedding planner should include all the following:-

1. Working out and Managing Budget
2. Work out timeline for events (when to confirm venue/BS, when to take pre wedding shoot etc) & remind couple when it is time to complete tasks
3. Sourcing for vendors (venue/car/BS/VG/PG etc) according to couple's needs
4. Presenting vendors to couples with all details (i.e arrange for site inspection for venues, appointments with BS etc)
5. Liaising with vendors to deliver service promised (negotiate on terms and what is required)
6. Conceptualise theme/decor
7. Coordinating schedules for rehearsal/dinners/meet-up and most importantly, wedding day
8. Coordinate details for actual day (seating plan/ invitation & RSVP/ transportation etc)
9. Final itinerary for Actual Day
10. Following the couple and making sure everything is in order during actual day
11. Arrange for payment for all vendors, making sure the tear down of the event smoothly (vendors to collect back their props/ stuffs/ no damages to venue etc)
12. Arranging for Thank you note & photos to be sent out

Also include any other ad-hoc things required by couple :)

The more popular package in SG usually only includes the coordination of the actual day, as most couples would have already settled the venue/ BS/ VG & PG themselves.
