jazz: yupyup, im considering fables actually. but wanna take a look at venus n sg bridal also. keke. im waiting for the next bridal show in city sq cos we missed the previous one as htb was overseas. hehe.

jas: ohhh, MDW is nice, my sis initally took up the package but she saw cangai after tt n switched. LOL!

serynn: yup, 4K++ iirc, but tt was the price for the BOWS wedding show in feb this yr, not sure is tt promo price or whether they increased alr. but i think their wedding pics not bad though.

Shanna - Yep.. Heard that JB Bridal shop's cheaper and takes nice shots. =) Planning for this part of our lives is a headache! BS, PG, VG, Venue, Houe etc..

hello everyone!

i am a dec 2011/jan 2012/feb 2012 confused btb! Can i ask your opinions of the following..

- 2012 CNY will be on 23 January. Do u all think having wedding on CNY is ok? Maybe the hotels are busy with reunion dinners and all..
- have any btb gone to orchard delfi for grown fitting? I past by there a few times and i think they have very pretty gowns there.. but i think it must be ex..

one more yr to wedding.. can start losing weight.. heehee

Drusilla: I booked my banquet venue over the weekend. BS was booked last year coz ROM was Jan this year. Now I am left with AD photography and videography. =)

Actually i didnt take note of the BS name. i was there to collect my ring and window shop there.. The shop that is at 3rd level near the escalator. Ur BS is there too?

Once i confirmed the hotel that we want, i will go down to orchard delfi (yes, i shall go to bridal veil & amanda lee) to scout for the gown..hee hee.. is your package there too?
 
Sze Sze: My package is not paid in full yet. In fact I haven't even gone down to the shop even once! (signed up at a bridal show) But mine is already for photoshoot and AD.

pinkpiglet - I think it's better to avoid CNY as people are very busy during the CNY period.. Plus they will spend alot on ang baos..
 
hi pinkpiglet, agreeable, i think holding on CNY is not really advisable. cos ppl will be busy gg arnd visiting n also spending alot on AP alr. keke. feb shld be ok, a few of us are holding our weddings in feb.

hey, i just saw this weekend suntec has bridal fair 12pm to 10pm. Shall go down take a look.. think bridal fair offers should be more attractive (hopefully).
 
I have settled the venue and BS. For now, I am sourcing for AD photographer, videographer and animation montage vendor.
haha but most importantly is to lose weight!! =)

pinkpiglet- 25th feb is an auspicious date, many hotels r booked alr, keke me n 3 other brides r hving our wedding on tt day infact.

if u r looking into having a wedding in early 2012(Q1), u better start sourcing n deciding which hotel alr cos i think many slots r getting taken up. so far i've booked my hotel n AD PG, now sourcing for BS n AD VG, then maybe need to look for a MUA(AD). settled the main things first then the smaller details.

actually.. the reason why i am so slow is cos my bf just proposed to me last month only. I feel i am the one rushing him this and that! wanna give him some space to breathe..
 
pinkpiglet - Haha.. I've called most (not all) of the hotels thus I know which hotels are open for booking and which one isn't.. I know which hotels are booked for 25th Feb and which hotels are not.. If you need any info, just let me know and i could email you ya? =)
 
Pinkpiglet: u are better off than me, my bf has not even propose to me but I suppose we will be getting married by 2012 since flat will be ready then..

more and more brides coming in and I already lost track who are who le.. Haha..
 
pinkpiglet, haha i planned n start my research like in apr/may? n booked my hotel i think in oct. keke. but bf just proposed last mth when he came back from aussie. keke. but he bought n gv me the ring arnd jun/jul iirc. LOL~

i was ok with it la. but end up, he still did it n gv me a big surprise. haha which i thought was way better cos totally didnt anticipate it. not like some brides who actually kinda guess tt the bf is gg to propose alr. lol.
 
Haha I think proposal is like part of the SOP. ultimately it's working the marriage rather than the stone or the proposal. I think many 2012 couples have already started their preparation and venue bookings.
