we normally meet the PGs/VGs either on weekday evenings or during weekends

i agree with you...most of our weekends are so packed with wedding stuff...
 


we try to see PG /VG on weekends but some PG / VG are not open on wkends or are usually not free because they're shooting weddings on wkends.
To make things even harder, my fiance works a different timing from me,he ends work super late but he'll use his dinner break to meet different PG / VG on wkdays whenever we need to..
 
we finally settled with simplemotion for our AD VG :D
and we finally got our wedding rings

now we have to settle our AD PG and the band/emcees...
 
Kass, if weekday evening is possible try to make an appt in the evening.. Think most if the PG will be out during weekends due to wedding as well..

Marian, congrats on completing another milestone! Can't wait to get my wedding band as well.. Hehe..
 
kass: i went on weekends because we both end work quite late on weekdays and are too tired to go down. like you, we only do wedding stuff on weekends.

marian: yay! you've accomplished another item ;) will you be getting a professional emcee? I'm having a problem with the emcees because we want to get our friends but cannot find suitable ones!

btw, do you girls know of any other VG who does concept MTV like Moomedia? I want to compare a few before making a decision who to sign on with..

you told me that alvinadeline does too right...
you can also try asking simple motion and substance films...they do pre-wedding videos as well but i'm not sure if it's concept MV...
 
Marian, so far I only know these 2.. just wondering if there are other options out there.. I watched alvinadeline's mtv.. I feel its not that touching compared to Moo
 
I just wanna get all the major items inc BS, Venue, PG, VG sorted before mid-April.

Once these are sorted, I think we are quite okay until about last quarter of the year.

I confirmed my BS, almost confirmed on venue, and I agreed with HTB to start on PG and VG after signing the banquet contract!

I get ot stay w my mum temporarily till we get our own place. My MIL just tends to nag to get her point across... but since i only see her about once or twice a week, is tolerable.. hee..
 
hi all,

i just returned from my engaged encounter weekend last night! initially fiance and mi signed up for the course as it is a requirement for church wedding.

but as the course progresses, we realised we were "forced" to talk about issued which we have been avoiding or not been addressed. also, u get to have a chance to understand each other's views about the future, making it clear what the whole wedding package consist of.

I personally think is it useful and help in re-assuring the love we had for each other.

you gals should find out more!! it is similar to marriage preparation course! =)
 
hi cow cow! yes of cos!! there are many marriage prep courses if you try to google online. the one i went for was a catholic program as fiance is a catholic and we intend to get married in a catholic church.

i think it is good to make time to address issues now rather than after marriage.
 
cow cow >> there are plenty of such courses. I've signed up for the one offered by Touch Community Servies. If u look for marriage preparation courses, can find out a lot of info. There are two threads here dedicated to MPC.

i got the mini love white gold with one diamond...the normal love ring is quite big...but the rose gold with pink sapphire is gorgeous...
if you're getting the normal love ring...can consider that ring...hehehe...
i heard from the sales lady that cartier is going to have a price increase either on february 1 or march 1...i think will be around 5%...

for "a little dream", their two piece band is $800, three piece band is $1200 and four piece band is $1600...then emcees price range is from $100 to $150 per emcee...

for "yours truly", the band prices are the same but the emcees price range is from $550 to $700

for "wedding harmony" a three piece band is $1780, four piece band starts from $2080 but they don't provide emcee services...

i think i will be taking a 3 piece band...
 
marian, i am torn between the mini love and love.. fiance think mini love suits me better since my finger is shorter and still gotta wear the E ring.. did you engrave anything on the ring? can any engraving be done on mini love?

oh...i think if need to wear with engagement ring, then mini love will be nicer...if not, maybe wear the engagement ring on your right hand ring finger...then can get the normal love ring...hehehe...
yup, engraving can be done on the mini love...but we haven't thought of what to engrave...are you going to do any engraving on your rings?
 
marian, if mini can engrave i will get mini.. thinking of engraving some love quote.. fiance said engrave the Lord of the Rings quote which i almost fainted.. I am getting yellow gold color.. may shop around also.. see if tehres any better ring...

Hi all

Are you guys attending the BOW 2010? I went for my hotel hunt last week and looking at Furama Waterfront, Copthorne Waterfront and Grand Park City Hall. Was thinking of signing it in BOW 2010 and perhaps can get more perks.. ;)

Just an update, we wanted a july wedding, but the dates we wanted are bad dates except for 2-July, which MIL don't want as it clash with a grandparent's death annivasary and only very good date was in Mar,but den we dun feel it is special for us..

clint: How's ur search for ur shoes and accessories so far? I went past Anna Nucci last week and their shoes are not very exp as compared to some which sell bling bling shoes.

Time really flies man.. Jan 2010's coming to an end already!

i'm going to choose "yours truly" or "a little dream"...i haven't met them yet...will be meeting them after i meet my coordinator to discuss the sound system...
a three piece band means either (3 music instruments) or (2 singers + 1 music instrument) or (1 singer + 2 music instruments)

pinkglove: I saw their shoes too.. but I don't really like strappy heels.. don't have a pair of nice feet and straps always cut my feet..
Pazzion have some nice satin shoes to match EG as well.. I have short-listed one for my EG, maybe I will just get that to match WG also, since it can't be seen.. I'm lazy to bring too many things overseas.. heh..

For accessories, you can try Chinatown People's Market.. got 1 shop selling alot props & accessories for those "Ge Tai" performers.. very interesting.. I'm gonna drop by Little India & Mustafa one of these days too.. heard that they sell very cheap "bling bling" stuff..

Yar, Jan juz passed by so fast.. seem like 2009 was only yesterday.. I definitely do not want 2011 to come too fast.. alot things not done for AD yet!
 
pinkglove, actually part of me do hope that this year can pass a bit slowly coz i can use the time to save more money... hehehe...

for the solemnization.. i haven get anything yet because the dress is not settled.. once the dress had been decided i will get the shoes.. not sure if my mum will be buying me necklace for solemnization..

haha! maybe you can show your design to your dsigner and after that they can draw it out the professional style..

Roughly, this is my plan:

Hotel: Furama Waterfront ( but the comments on the coordinators are bad. So will still look ard)

PS n VS: Sattine ( they had it all from ROM to actual day, so this will save time and cost)

Pre-wedding shoot :Phuket in this year AUg. ( so got to start slimming down...

I've been to Sattine before... the gowns are actually really pretty and the people there are friendly. Of all the gowns I've seen, Sattine appeals to me the most. But in the end I went alacarte that's why didn't sign with them.

zhuzhu2 - I suggest u go to the Sattine FB page to look at the gowns. Quite a selection are there. Also u can go to weddingclinique FB page, they post videos of Sattine's bridal show there. Sattine should also be participating at the Marriott Wedding Show on 7 Feb as they always tie up with Marriot.
