@ee09: Sometimes plans do change, whether you like it or not. Just because her date happens to clash with yours doesn't mean she's out to sabo you what right. Don't think so much.
Besides, since the two of you share almost the same group of friends, why not get married together? Wouldn't it be more meaningful? And even if it's not possible, you don't gauge true friends based on the wedding dates they choose or whether they will attend your wedding or not. I'm sure they want to attend both weddings to wish you both the very best de ma. Don't make it into a tug of wars like 'Bride Wars'. =x

Sorry hers is in hort park but mine is in hotel, cant combine. I cant change mine to Hort park as have many of hb's biz associates coming. On the other hand, she doesnt have the budget to hold it in hotel. Anyway, i dun really know her well, only superficial "friend".

Wedding is abt you and ur partner (and maybe sometimes both parents), why bother abt what dates other choose and upset urself. If she is a superficial friend, then u won't be so upset and talk abt it here. Also no need to say others dun have the budget for hotel weddings, a garden wedding may be what they are looking for
Anyway my point is, jus be happy and ignore others. It's 2 diff weddings altogether.

Hi btb, the other time we were discussing on where to buy Guo Da Li stuffs and one of the place mentioned were city square in JB. Does anyone have the exact address to rat shop? I'll be going in to buy my Guo Da Li stuffs tis Sunday. Thanks in advance.

Quite small, i think only one shop selling GDL, but if you need small stuff, eg cute AP package, lamps, level 4 inner city (small shops) also hav. I find holiday plaza (opp kfc) has more stuff but I didnt really shop inside b4.

JTS: Went JB 2 weeks back. yes there is one in City Sq- quite small, go into the lower floor on innercity n u will see it. Sells more modern stuffs.
The one in Holiday Plaza is on the ground floor next to toilet. very cramp n small shop. Sells more traditional stuffs.
Pricing wise, sorry dun rem...cos din buy just went to see first. But I think Holiday plaza cheaper.
Cab from City square to Holiday plaza is abt Rm 7 to 8 if not driving...

Ang Chiu Lin (qiuling)> Sorry, I haven bought the GDL stuff and I didnt check sg price. I saw a bucket (for kid bathing kind), umbrella, a lot of GDL things inside and packed together sold at RM188 (if I didnt rem wrongly). I saw a pair of lovely lamp, cost RM79.90 (heart pain I didnt buy, still hesitate). There are also many stickers, AP pack, small deco kind.
I havent walked inside the Holiday plaza shop, its outside seem too small (n inside very pack). But I guess will be cheaper as JB City Sq share is 50-70% owned by Singaporean, can considered one of the most ex shopping center in southern Msia.

ee09, thanks for the info =) will go in early in the morning this sunday to take a look. If cant find something which is nice and at reasonable price, then will faster come out and go over to chinatown to buy =) though its troublesome, but i hope to find somethings which i like and is nice and most importantly at a reasonable price =)

Qiuling> I found another JB shop selling wedding accessories, more variety and cheaper. The owner is very helpful. I planned to buy lamp, tea set and bedsheet from them but mum said too early, so she gave me name card:-

Candy, thanks for the info. Had went in today and bought my GDL stuffs already. Bought it at the shop at Holiday Plaza. Total cost was $433.
Then after that went over to another shop at No.4 Jalan Sultera 3, Taman Sentosa, JB Da Feng Hun Sha Jie. The shope name is Coupe de Marriage. I saw some similiar stuff i bought over at Holiday Plaza and they were much cheaper. And currently they have 10% promotion. The accessories sold here are more modern and nicer. Maybe you want to go and take a look also =)

excited to be here.. hur hur. guess everyone is excited about ur big day. congrats! any brides looking to diy their stuff here? i'm thinking if i should get a wedding planer but it doesnt come cheap but i'm scare if i end up doing alot of things, i'll will be too overwhelmed with all the prep works to do. headache ah.. haha

thanks clint. i'm planning to do ap box too and hopfeully my jiemei's wrist corsages + some here and there for the cocktail reception. not a church wedding for me though i always dream of one.
i hope u have fun planning too.
@ marian - i met up with rebirth and simplemotion too. one of our shortlisteds. they are awesome guys arent they? my fh and i settled for moretopurple and alvinadeline in the end, tough decisions and hope we made the right one!

Must then is up to invididuals preferences =)
I bot my bedsheet from far east, its attracted us once we stepped into the shop.. n was told u can use it 2 way of it.. =)

Marian: My colleague has gd reviews of sil. Will probably drop by. Have only settled venue, PG and VG. I love simplemotion and alvinadeline works too ... Was deciding btw both of them until we met up with moomedia and engaged them for our AD and pre-wed. You gals doing pre-wed videos?
