pinkglove: my friend's wife did a video montage with sand painting (she asked some1 to do the painting) based on their love story and surprised him on the wedding. I find it quite touching and quite a refreshing idea.. another friend hired Coffee&Tea to make a cartoon based on their love story and also present as a gift to the hubby..
So I was thinking on these lines to think of what I can surprise him with..

Eh not sure if I wanna do the montage with baby/childhood photos.. baby still look ok lar.. but the teenage years are horrible! LOL~

Sapphire: I think its fat hope that my fiance will do something special for me.. HAHA

juz attended a wedding last night...
the groom actually surprised the bride by singing her two songs with his brothers as the background dancing on the stage...
it was quite funny and entertaining for the guest...
and touching for the bride =)
maybe you would like to work along this line hee hee

How's everyone doing?

Accomplished quite a bit over the past week! I selected my wedding gown, decided to MTM my evening gown, signed my solemnisation contract and collected my rings!
happy.gif
Suddenly things are moving after signing up! LOL.

Always thought I will have a princess cut wedding gown, but ended up selecting a mermaid gown instead! LOVE it!
happy.gif
Now must maintain my weight/figure cuz it's very fitting!

Hey all, I received an e-mailer on a term insurance promotion where they are giving away GV movie tickets. So just thought to share.

Dear Client,

Get a movie treat today!

There is a new pet phrase circulating in the insurance market – ‘Buy term, invest the rest’. Many have toyed with this concept and found a clearer purpose in it. After all, term insurance is a simple no frills life coverage plan that comes at a low cost. Clients can purchase the adequate amount of life coverage they require, based on their financial commitments and number of dependents they need to provide for in the event of their demise or inability to work.

Get a movie treat today when you purchase your term life plan through Insupermart. We will be giving you a pair of Golden Village movie vouchers* for you to catch a movie with your loved one. Spread this cheer to your family and friends, so that we can treat them to a movie as well.

* Terms & Conditions
Promotion is open to all applicants for the I-Term plan.
The annualized premium of the I-Term plan must exceed $300 regardless of the premium option (Monthly, Quarterly, Half-Yearly or Yearly).
Forward your product purchase confirmation email to [email protected], indicate the email subject title as ‘Insupermart Term Insurance Promo – (your full name as per NRIC)’.
Promotion is valid for I-Term plans purchased online via www.insupermart.com between 1st October 2010 and 31st October 2010, both dates inclusive. Policies must be in-force within two months from the date of application.
Movie vouchers are valid for all days and sessions, other than Gold Class Cinemas, Cinema Europa, premium-priced films (eg. 3D films etc), group bookings, film marathons, film festivals and premieres.
Vouchers will be mailed to clients’ address as per the stated address in the I-Term application.
Vouchers are not exchangeable for cash. Not valid in conjunction with any other discounts or promotions.
Management reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions of the promotion without prior notice.

To those who have chosen your EG, what colours did you girls choose?

My mum forbid me to choose anything in all shades of blue, cuz blue is not a "happy colour" (in her words). She wants bright colours like red, orange, purple...

But blue is my favourite colour, and the EGs I've like are mostly in blue...

Siy: i've PM Douglas' rate

Kass: maybe u can add those colours that your mom like to your EG.. so it will be a mixture of your fave colour + your mom's fave colour..

Kass, I'm in the midst of selecting EG too. I chose a light pink one.

On second thought, I'm worried light colors might not photograph well in ball room's dim lights. Is this true?

Hi kass, blue is nice!! I like sapphire blue. Looks v good in photo!! But I chose a red gown for myself. Hehe.

Hey rainbow, I also spend money to do nail art but simple ones. But after I went to choose photos, I feel that it's not necessary to spend so much. If u really wan, I think simple French manicure will look as good!

Rachel >> I want blue, but my mum dun allow all shades of blue. Esp Sapphire blue, cuz those shades blue are symonymous with funerals. So it's likely that even for my themes/flowers, I cannot have blue as well.

Kass>> my EG has cobalt blue tulle lining cos' Im crazy abt blue.. it looks really dull when lighting is poor, but when *snap snap* the inner layer which is shade of periwinkle, close to purple, will reflect and the dress looks purplish...

u may wanna try some effect on the colours and materials, accessories and still get some blue?

kass --> maybe show your mum the actual dresses, show her how nice the blue really looks. i like blue too but i don't look good in it. and scare her that there are even duller colours to choose, so she'll be happy u didn't choose those colours! =)

kass: why not just try dresses in other colours? They might look equally gorgeous on u! My mum also has colour specifications, she's ok with any colours so long there's no black. ultimately, u prob wouldn't wan ur parents to be uncomfortable with ur wedding stuff cos we already have much to bother about. I tried EG in a few colour tones and decided on red cos everyone including me feels tat i look e best in this colour and just nice, please my mum cos it's an auspicious colour to her.. lol..

cowcow: ur ROM coming soon right!!! In a few days time .. How's everything? Should be all ready?

Ladies, thanks for your advice. Actually I just wanted to rant a little. I am MTM-ing, so it's not that bad, cuz I can prob pick whatever colour I want (except blue!). Anyway, I will work around not using blue, because I don't want to be seeing my mum pull a long face on my AD!

hellooo!! I saw the FB invite!!! thanks for organizing.. hope can make it.. will reply soon :D

Kass u are asking the questions i wanna ask! My AD is 1st Jan 2011 and its already less than 3 months away but haven't find a JP yet... having some issue now
sad.gif

Kass i think it would be good if you can read around and list down a few desired JPs
happy.gif
so perhaps about 3 months 1 week away from your AD.. u can start to call/email the JPs to ask for their availability.

some JP don't entertain dates which are too earlie de

strikingreality

I suppose 1st Jan might be a bit difficult, cuz public holiday, not many JPs might want to solemnise on this day...

All those you shortlisted not available?

skydreamie

New Member
still waiting for reply

We are getting my fiance's cousin to solemnize for us as he is the pastor, however he will only be doing the christian matrimony but can't do the signing of the ROM cert as he doesn't have a license.. hence gotta find a JP who can do it
happy.gif

Haiyooo so headache!

Just asked 2 JPs and 1 of the JP is not available.. another 1 said he is renewing his license so will only confirm at end of oct.

Kass u shortlisted ur JP already?
