Kemi> fyi my fren booked Hilton in late May for this yr's banquet in Dec (weekday). She got rates at close to $680+/table include free flow beer, waiver of corkage.

But just that the dates available may not be many & you have to comply by the left-over dates.

Michelle, not really. i went to cartier also. if you are talking abt their "Love" series, it cost abt 1k odd ea. but their platinum series are much more ex for just 1 ring. those with diamonds are even higher price.

it all depends on what we want. i want MORE bling bling, so i chose more diamonds instead of the brand.

I'm also the same...we also had cheaper proposal and engagement rings, so that we could splurge on our wedding bands.

hm....actually im not sure if i can share some of the good deals with you guys cos my fren actually know diamond wholesaler who sells to Cartier, Larry (Lazare), Lee Hwa, etc.

Seriously, the price is damn damn cheaper think 30-50% less. I just tried asking on a Lazare D colour 0.70, wow it cost ard $14K in SK but then the deal i got is ard 40% less.

Another deal I got is from my mum fren, who can find those trade-in diamond which the owner aldy lost half of the price. Then u can choose ur own design & use that diamond. Colour & Cut may be limited but the price is dirt cheap. Maybe $4K for 0.7 (not sure wat col/cut/clarity).

But all these ideas my HTB dont liked cos no installments for him. lol. No matter how cheap also no use cos' he need to pay one lump sum

For me, think its still early for Proposal ring, so i can slowly look ard.
But if anyone of u keen of those deals, I got to check it out first. What you can do, list down the size,cut,clarity or budget then i ask

But have to bear with me cos' im always super busy at work & tend to forget things easily

Siy, that sounds like a really gd deals =) shall wait for ur futher news. bf have been bugging me to choose my ring but i sorta prefer a surprise cos im a bit dreamy type but he's practical n worried he'll get one i dun reali fancy, so im still deciding =)

btw, i just realised tat 11 Nov is a fri... im so slow to realise.. which means i might change dates cos i prefer a wkend for AD, so tat my sis n his bros no need take leave for e gatecrashing..or mayb rom on 11 n AD another day... shall see how...

I just went to the website of Fables bridal at JB. I really like their photoshoot, its kind of similar to SG bridal. Those interested in SG Bridal, do you think their gown is more or less the same? Cause i saw a number of the brides taking the same gown for photoshot.
