I haven't gotten those traditional stuff yet but I read that there are a couple of shops in chinatown. I chanced upon such a shop at amk central as well.

Hi fellow jun 2011 btbs! My AD is on 12th june, rom on same day. Currently looking for a JP. I emailed Dr Phua but he is booked on the timing that i want. So sad. Any recommendations for a fatherly JP who is good in english and friendly and allows us to say our own vows?

Hi Lyn - Thanks. The rates are rather attractive but then it requires a 3 days rental. Meaning collect on fri and return on Mon. Too many days for me.

purplebottle - actually i like planning too. But i always find that HTB not very interested. He always leave it to me to make decision which i dun really like. So after sometime i also become sianz with all these

you can try to neg on the rental period...i'm sure it can be arranged.. ^^

i'm somewhat in the same situation as you now, HTB also likes to leave most of the decision making to me when I needed his input and help..makes me upset at times too that i find planning a chore and wonder why i can't be just like him and don't bother...

Lyn - in fact i enjoy planning but his "simply dun care" attitude sometimes annoys me alot.Everything also leaves it to me. We quarrel a few times over this and i try to delegate some works to him but he always take his own sweet time to do it. Today i just told him to discuss with his family abt the draft guest list.

Purplebottle - ya he also more interested in the house. But sometime his "dun care attitude" makes me feel that he simply dun care abt me. Thou i know thats not what he means.

By the way, i am trying to find a MUA for my hubby. Style him nice nice before fetching me and also during the dinner banquet. i know sometime when we engage a MUA they will do it for the groom for the dinner. But i am considering a mua for his morning too.

Any recommendation.

missy: same here! i've also argued with him a few times over wedding matters...kinda sick of it coz must keep pushing him to get things done...he just don't sense the urgency till it's too late, then i'll let him handle himself =X

Just finished my outdoor shoot yesterday, but didn't get to do shoots at botanic gardens and nightscenes as it's raining...so gotta do my outdoor shoot on the same day as my indoor shoot next month...it's was really fun! but start to feel the tiredness when we got home last night...lol...

htB is very relaxed and wait for me to tell him what to do tho he says he is our wedding planner. Is it a guy thing?? He will do when I ask him to do but sometimes I jus wan him to initiate the planning and stuff. Haiz no sense of urgency. I think I've accepted it ba..glad I'm not alone in this!

Haa..welcome to the club! I think it is like this but I realised if I ask him or request him to do certain things like call the contractor, find this out or do that, he will do..other than that, playing starcraft is more impt!

Hi everyone, my AD is on 26 June. My HTB is opposite. He is over gan jiong. Already bought all the GDL things and last nite almost wanted to hang the red cloth outside our hse. After some argument , he Bo bian but take it down. Terrible. Everything will be spoilt or dusty b4 our wedding.

Irene, you really have one who is totally opposite!! Ours is on 12 June and everything I say I think he thinks I am over-reacting..thou he will still do..we went to chinatown to look at the guo da li etc stuff and the lady say just buy one mth before..so now we concentrate do our house purchase stuff!

How are you gals coping with work and wedding? I feel really tired..wanting to go for some exercise or facial but really couldnt find time and energy..

Muji, for the time being, physically is not stress. Financially stress. Worry that money not enough.

. So much to spend. Now have to change new notes for ang pao. Cos I ask the bank and they say new notes only available during cny. Other times will have to depends.

Indeed Irene, it is the money, I can understand totally..We have the house, the reno, the furniture, wedding, bridal, banquet, AD costs and ang paos..wow, I also dun dare to count but I think what will come will come, we will manage!

My HTB and I promised each other, we will not quarrel over anything in this period of time...

If you guys live in the west, I recommend my facialist in Bt Gombak! They also have an outlet in Jurong East. I've been to both, but prefer the Gombak one, cuz it's more spacious and the atmosphere more soothing.

leyash - Yes, it's a shopfront. I am taking collagen-hydration something facial. $88 for the face only. If you want the eye treatment it is an add on. The package is Buy 10 get 1 free.

I don't find that pushy, but that's because I have gone to them since they are newly established more than 3 years ago in JE and then to the branch in BB. Started off with eyebrow threading and I only signed up a facial package with them recently. So to me, they are like friends already, so I am v frank with them and them with me as well. But that's my personal take after being with them for 3 years. YMMV.

I just did my photoshoot selection and suddenly very gan chiong... there's only 5 months left and I haven't confirm my MUA, PG & VG for the actual day. I also haven choose my gown. My bridal shop says can come and choose in April. So afraid not enough time...

i was trying to get dr phua for 6pm but he said he is only available for 4pm or 8pm. 4pm is too early cos the guests who are coming for the solemnization will haf no place to go till the dinner and 8 is too late cos we dun want to do it in the ballroom. I just managed to confirm another JP a few days ago. One more impt thing settled. =)

Hi, I am a June bride too. I have booked the hotel, PG, VG, taken our photoshoot, food tasting, meet the parents session. What's next? The hotel coordinator has not contacted us. When should we start liaising with them on the theme etc? Is there anything that I can do at the meantime? Cos don't want to leave everything to nearer the date.
