lyn: helium balloons, i order from a party shop at bugis. i thought of bringing my dog also but didn't coz worry that he might get too tired with all the running around (whole day). maybe you can arrange someone to take care of your dog during ps, at least not so tiring for you & your dog, imagine yourself wearing the heavy gowns, carrying the barang barang etc.
still looking around for jiemei dress, mtm seem too ex for me... ><
For the pork leg can, so far ntuc seem to be the cheapest coz they are having promotion. I have tried asking some of the shops near guan yin temple, the price they quoted is still higher than ntuc. my friend suggests to try sheng shiong but i haven't check yet.

btmy: i'm considering to order from Pine Garden for the cakes, will see how when is nearer to the GDL date.

btmy: tried to pm u, but u don't accept pm...

moon: can send me details of the shop and the prices for the balloons? hmm, my mum will be joining us for the outdoor PS in the afternoon, so thot of asking her to bring my baby along...but the only prob is, he's not very friendly with strangers, so i'm scared he'll be busy barking at my PG instead of settling down to take photos with us and wasting time...
i'm also looking for jiemei dress, but not a priority for me now...i may be checking with a few friends who owns blogshops if they might have suitable dresses and order in bulk...what kinda dresses are you looking for?

lyn: the party shop is at golden landmark hotel (opp raffles hospital). Actually there are other party shops at bugis area also(i can't remember the road name, those shops used to be in concourse building). But i like the one at golden landmark coz the auntie is more friendly and helpful.

I think is about $1 or $1.50 per normal size balloon, they have heart shape one as well.

For jiemei dress, most prob going for tube dress with some ribbon/stash, pink or purple colour ba.

Lyn: I think my MTM package is quite reasonable. I shopped around before deciding on TWP

HTB had an idea of how the gowns should look and the designer gave his suggestion as well. You could look at magazines to have some ideas for your EG?

moon light: i second simmons!

i actually bought the dresses for my jiemeis already. haha! saw them on a blogshop and decided to get it for them ;)

moon: thanks gal! i'll check it out this weekend if i have the time...

purple: there's a EG frm my studio that i liked a lot, but MIL doesn't allow me to wear on that day as it's olive green and grey...too dark for her...so can only wear for my PS... T.T
think u'd better get yr JP fast if you want the 'good' ones...i've settled mine already with a rev. in the states...

Hi gals, I am a BTB in June 2011 too but we have just started plannin because we just got our house!
happy.gif

We are having a small wedding ROM & dinner of about 15 tables and are looking now for suitable and available places. I think better get ourselves going for the bridal boutique too. But we do not want the outdoor photo shots and studio shots. I am just thinkin of gown, suit, flowers n MUA.

Like so many things to do within 6mths!

mrsmaotan (muji) > Hav u found the place? 15tables for dinner maybe a bit difficult o! but if you dont mind lunch, Marriot hotel's ballroom can cater for it, min 15tables (weekend lunch). I am with Marriott also, my banquet even smaller scale, only have 8tables so I am using function room instead.

Lyn: Lol! Are you also doing your PS in US since you'll be doing your ROM there?

mrsmaotan: Hello! Congrats on getting your house

Have you decided on your BS yet?
I agree with you that there are many things to be done but I like doing them, hahaha!

Hi purplebottle, lyn and Candy, we have not done anything yet
sad.gif
suddenly reno for house, wedding, BS all have to be done in one shot..

Do you gals know how much we should roughly pay for a BS for such a simple package w/o photography? Just want the gown, suit, flowers, maybe car and MUA..

Think by June, we will be broke!

purplebottle

New Member
Lyn: I know what you mean. We'll probably use up a huge chunk of our savings for the wedding and flat reno.

mrsmaotan: Hmm, I guess it depends on which BS you're looking at. My package w/o photography is about 4+k.

rinoalyn

Member
Purple: lol, think most of us will be broke by then...spend all our savings in the wedding..need to cut costs whenever possible..but htb has very high expectations so very hard to keep costs low...

Mrsmaotan: as purple mentioned, it really depends on the BS you choose and the type of gowns you want..OTR packages will definitely be much cheaper and remember to bargain with the BS! =p

Thanks gals! now we are looking for hotel venues for about 15 tables and most hotels within our budget are taken up!

rinoalyn

Kinda hard to find hotel venues for 15 tables unless you spend more, or book a restaurant instead. Need to book soon as most pple already reserved at least 1 year ago...

Found Holiday Inn Orchard and we put a deposit down to secure the banquet!

One more thing down, the last thing would be the bridal shop..

How are things for you gals? It is really quite fun to do all these and luckily, my HTB is really helpful..

missy: you do not accept pm, unable to msg you the details... =\

that's gd...now is my turn to get busy with prep for mine...and we've yet to settle on the locations for outdoor shoot as well as the 'props' for the shoot... =(

rinoalyn

yea, the props are not a necessity...just that we're thinking of incorporating a few meaningful items, as well as to match our outfits as we have 3 changes of traditional costumes... ^^

Hi Lyn, Sorry i was away for the past 2 weeks. I have activated my PM status. Please PM me the contact for convertibles.

Btw. have u all source for JPs? Is it too early to start looking for them?

I have scheduled my wedding photography in Mid March. Is it too rush?

purplebottle

New Member
Lyn: these 3 in addition to your WG?

btmy: I tried emailing 2 but they're both unavailable for my date. I think wedding photography in mid march should be ok as long as your PG can get your photos and album ready by your AD

rinoalyn

btmy: just pm you the contacts gal... ^^

purple: yup, in addition to my WG and EG for studio shoot...for outdoor shoot I have another change of WG and a short gown... ^^
do you have pics of your shoot yet? I'm having probs deciding on the places to go for our outdoor shoot, and we only get to meet our PG 2 days before the shoot...so I'm kinda worried we can't find nice places for the shoot...

purplebottle

Nope, I don't have any photos yet. Not sure when my PG will give me the photos actually.

Hmm, we met our PG a month before our PS and talked about the locations we wanted to go for our PS and he gave recommendations too. I guess your PG should be experienced enough to give you ideas so don't have to worry so much
happy.gif
He'll know best which locations are good!

rinoalyn

Member
Aww, if not can take yr photos as reference... ^^

Haha...I'm those that must have things prepared and planned out...so I'm feeling uneasy that the photoshoot locations have yet to be confirmed...scared some places need clearance then end up cannot shoot there... =\

rinoalyn

Hmm, thing is...we haven't decided on the places to go, so we're also not sure if prior writing-in is required.

Happy new year to all too! The count down begins to our AD... ^^
