hah! cheapo people are getting united! Jas, wats the big deal even you was once a Tangcourt bride? if is lousy, then is lousy. And didnt i say i went to RELC to look at the package? Do i still need any more explaination on this, unless u dun even understand simple english. Poor u...dun even know what does frog in a well means. no wonder u like RELC so well..both of ur standard are so low. there's a hundred of hotels and restaurant out there, why scrimp for such low end offer? unless u really poor..on the other hand, looking at your english, i can well understand your scenario. Guess you cannot tolerate comments on RELC just because you had your wedding there. Hah! Low life!

Hi, i'm a potential Oct 2010 BTB. But came into this thread and kinda got taken aback by this intense exchange of words here.
I think my advice is probably unsolicited, but just hope you all can cool down.
To tian ai and jas, i feel that fifi was initially just giving her opinion of the place and wanted to genuinely warn you, she was not slamming your choice of the hotel. however when you all got upset , she naturally became defensive also.
To fifi, the way that you phrased your opinion made everyone upset and hurt. (also shouldnt call anyone cheapo cos its very hurting)
Opinions are always subjective, what's very beautiful to someone may look terrible to another. But to each his own. Different people value different things - some place importance on the outward appearance of the place, some feel that food is of utmost importance, to others, price may be most crucial. No point comparing.
Most importantly, we're in this forum to see if we can help each other in our stressful wedding preps and provide valuable advice to each other.

hi all... ya, din login for a few days and was shocked to know that there is some intense conversation gng on.. -_-||
some ppl like to have a grand and posh wedding at exp hotel since it's an once a life time thingy.. but to some ppl, a simple wedding at a do-able place is good enough. it's the life after the wedding that is more impt.
to me, i will take an affordable hotel with good location and pillarless. things like food and services, we cannot control and it's quite subjective oso.. luck plays a part too. as long as the food is not so bad that make my guests wanna throw up and svc of the waiters arent that bad that my guests wanna complaint them on the spot, im fine..
there is always good and bad reviews abt hotels, restaurants, BS etc.. since we know the bad, then juz highlight to them and get them to take note. as for the good, let them know so that they will keep it up. we are under their mercy in a way.
i rem when i first signed up with my BS - yvonne creative, i was "scolded" by a gal, a particular gal (she could be competitor or angry customer of YC) in the thread for signing with a BS with bad svc and lousy gowns. i ignored her though i was worried but now there are more and more good feedbacks on them and i've visited them, personally, i dun think they are that bad afterall...

Hi Gals, just to update, i went to view today. The place is very warm and cosy, i even took my dinner there.. Yummy food they served.. I have placed my deposit le.. So excited and looking forward to it.. Thanks Tian Ai for the recommendation..

However we feel that she is not in any position to criticise ppl's recommendation in such a harsh way.. Tian Ai is being nice in sharing her information, however if she don't like it.. Just reserve the comment to herself and not make such nasty remark. Is unfair to Tian Ai as though she recommend a lousy place which is not true as there are many happy brides there. We are sharing information and shouldn't criticise in people choice..

Please look carefully we did not pass any remarks on her? i just simply ask her what she meant by "terrible" so that i can clarify for all BTB. I wouldn't want ppl to tarnish RELC's reputation like that. If its the room with moldy smell and the floral stand with dust this can be asked b4 u hold your wedding.

I dun believe branded hotels dun give problems or hiccups de lor.. as a guests, i have been alot of branded hotels, but service are sucks.. rooms are so so nia.. but I never place such remarks.. y got such fellow de.. omg..
if since looking for branded hotels, den YYYYYYYY go to RELC?? juz to see the package??? OMG!! website got lor.. stated clearly unless pple dun understand simple english.. lol

Jas>> Haha its ok la we know inside our heart an le... just treat her as a transparent lo.... haha... hmmm i went to Meritus Mandarin, they give me wrong info, about the minimum requirement, den the coordinator was quite rude, but i guess maybe i found the wrong coordinator.so in the end i went to RELC as per recommend by Mei Kuan, one of the BTB not sure u know her or not... was quite happy i found the favors again.... haha....

Hihi all BTB, this is my 1st post but after seeing all the previous posts, im quite scare. but ah, in some point i agree with fifii pok, i been to tangcourt last week and view the alcove suite. there is really a weird smell in the room leh, the smell exist even when i request mr goh to view another room. why dont we listen more to fifii comments ba? maybe she spot the flaw which most of us didnt?

I tot lvl 3 is Tang Court restuarant and the room only start from lvl 4 but please correct mi if i am wrong any way my room is either on lvl 16 or 18 can't remember cos old liao

My room is level 18... hw come no smell at all?? this is funny leh.. tat time, i went to see the room upon signed up, he took me to the level 9.. no smell at all..
nOt because we are the supporters of Tang Court nor RELC.. we are speaking the fact.. so if the room come out a funny smell, we can ask for another room de.. i strongly believe this kind of problem any of other hotels oso got de.. even those branded one.. some even got ciggers smell which is non smoking room.. rite??
