usually we treat each other out for meals...i even send my mother flowers sometimes..

nah..although I come from christian family but i find church wedding a chore cos long gospels. Plus I am not the holy holy type...i skipped a lot of church nowadays...
I will just do the same to my parents..no changes...If need to get expensive gifts..usually I will pay for their holidays and meals.

HI,

Is anyone getting married in Beaufort Sentosa?

I have booked my venue there but now I am starting to regret. As I am planning my wedding all by myself, I was hoping that the hotel will be a little more helpful with answering my questions. But they are not. Not replying to my emails, change of staff & I was not informed etc.

Frankly I am disappointed ...

Hi Mashi Mashi,

I called & emailed them. I always get voicemail & emails are not answered.

First was the change in the banquet manager & I wasnt informed. Then I met up with the new Banquet Manager a week ago & she doesnt know head or tail of what is happening. So I repeated everything & sent her an email. No acknowledgement.

All I want is clarification of what the hotel can and cannot provide, the menu etc so that I can proceed with my planning. If they can't provide what I need then I need to source. But I need to know.

Its annoying. I am quite tempted to walk away from the deposit & start from scratch again. I frankly don't need such attitude from the service folks.

sorry to hear about your experience. i think it's impt to meet up with the new banquet manager and thrash it out. else get a someone from a higher position to help with this.

catch the banquet manager on a weekday rather than weekend, state out what you need from her and give a deadline. maybe cos she's new, she's still trying to catch up with things.

have you tried going to the forum for beaufort and see if there are any advise there?

n check out tis webby...not sure if still in operation, bt then they do hav some vintage looking cars...u might wan to try calling them...

2nd webby my htb had contacted dat guy oredi.. we supp to go for trial ride.. haven do dat yet.. thx for reminding me! haha.. i go chase my htb now!

Will try to get hold of the banquet manager to see if i can get another meeting with her. during our first meeting she was quite anxious to get the meeting over & done with (at least thats how i felt) & she said .. they don't typically entertain wedding enquiries until closer to the date.

Fair enough if it is a simple without fuss wedding. Mine's not. My husband is an Australian & some of our guests will be flying in. The wedding is very much a mixed fusion affair. To cut cost, I have started planning my wedding since Nov last year myself & each time I have been stonewalled by Beaufort.

I have just put up a similar post in the forum. Hopefully, I'll get some advice.

Fingers crossed .....

Cat: I dun think this should be the attitude of a banquet manager! How can she say things like that? I've booked my banquet since last July and till date my coordinator has been very accomodating and responsive to my enquiries and such. Maybe u should write in to the director or a higher management. Planning a wedding is stressful enough. Receiving bad, lousy and uninitiated services is what u need last!

Thanks paradise. I have written to the banquet manager again & gave her the deadline to reply to me by tomorrow. Lets see what happens.

If I get nowhere with Beaufort by end of Mar, I am prepard to walk away from the deal.

Of course, I hope we can work something out. I DO like the venue very much & I actually changed my preferred wedding date so that I can have this venue. It would be very disappointing if it has come to an ugly end.

But like you said, planning the wedding is stressful enough, I don't need bad service from a hotel!

i agree with paradise too. the comments by the banquet manager were totally unprofessional. i also have been in contact with my banquet manager at Changi Village Hotel on and off via email and phone calls, he's been most accommodating and even reassured me on many issues.

if this banquet manager doesn't wake up her idea, i think you should try to approach a higher management.

i agree wif others. if the banquet manager dun get bk to u. Call the upper management.

there is no way to treat a customer like tis.
my co ordinator also will reply my email on my enquires or doubts.

becoz to forfeit ur deposit in a no no lor. since its nt ur prob. so u shldnt b the one to give up ur deposit.. seek to tok to a higher management...

haha Vallous, talking about the long gospels. I am not a Christian... when I sent out my ROM invitation card, I don't know why my relatives had the feeling I was having a 'church' solemnization. They called to ask me if it was a church ceremony, I say no lah. They say 'oh if church ceremony, can tell me what time all the talking and singing is done? I will attend the part where u say I do.' Haha... LOL. Thinking back, I think I used the word solemnization ceremony, instead of ROM ceremony. So they thought it was some christian ceremony.

Disclaimer: No offence to Christians...

Hi Cat,

I agree wit the rest. Such unprofessional service/attitude should be brought up to higher management (as high as possible). Firstly, wedding banquests are not cheap events, couples have to be prepared to fork out big sum of money. In your case, you even have relatives/friends flying into Singapore. They better wake up their idea.

Believe the banquet @ Beaufort is not cheap. I've been to the The Cliff for dinner and for the amount they charge, it's only right that they provide excellent services that commensurate with the rates they charge!

Wah...feel angry for you cos I can understand that planning for the wedding is stressful enough and the very reason for having a wedding banquet in a hotel is to remove as much stress as possible from the planning process.

Can understand why you want to walk away from all the unhappy experience and "start afresh" with another venue. But I think before that should let Beaufort do something to compensate you for all the headache they've given you.

Selinachantelle, I got my black gloves for $13 at Chinatown Level 3. Some "Tokyo duno what" shop manned by an elderly auntie and uncle. Alternatively, I can sell you my satin black gloves. Used 1 time for PS only. :p

I got my wedding photoalbum last week. So happy! BTBs holding a church wedding, have you decided on your color theme yet? I can't decide. Now wavering between ivory+pinks or ivory+peach.

Thank you girls for your support. I have contacted the hotel &amp; they promised to get back to me by this week. Lets see what happens.

I have discussed with my HTB, &amp; we agree if they dont live up to their promise this week, we will start sourcing for an alternative venue before we cancel on them.

I have kept all my email reminders etc so its a pretty clear cut case that they are not providing a satisfactory service.

My HTB is a good negotiator. I'll leave to him to get our $$ back, in the worse case scenario
