Hi R&J,
Just now during lunchtime, I went Vivo for lunch and went to Best and saw there is this branded DVD player for $99!! Cant realli remember what brand, but maybe can add this item to your list?? keke..
Wanted to go to the doc too.. but too bz.. haiz.. My boss oso gave me tons of work and new projects to handle.. :S

Must see the grade and the size of the diamonds provided, and the gold used in the setting.
Basically white gold value is worth that much when they are being sold in the jewellery shop. The diamond with international certification beyond 0.5C will have a resale value. Yellow gold is currently at its high price.
Other than that. If you are going to wear it often enough after using for wedding, then I think it has its "worth". But If you going keep it in a drawer or safe, then errr.....

Hi erlina, I agreed with sotonglet. You have to differentiate the needs and wants at this critical moment where $$ is very important.
Unless u have lotsa extra $$ to spare, otherwise, save it for the future bah...

I agreed that 10k is abit too much. And in your list there are 2 pair of earrings. But if you afford why not?
Diamonds wont go outdated anyway. And even if you dont wear it often, its good to have a set of nice accessories for future functions.

Maybe it depends on individual. Mei, the accessories i bought only 1 necklace look nicer on me.. but the necklace is too long coz want to wear as choker, now im wondering how to shorten it.

My mum is giving me nothing for chinese dowry. Hehe I'm fine with it.
My 2 cents worth, do u think u should filter off some of parents' & in-laws' comments? Eg. maybe you shouldn't impose your MIL's comment (what to get for drowry) on your mum, and vice versa? If I tell my mum what she should give for my drowry, I bet my mum will be angry with me one based on her personality.
Erm I have no big issue from mum & in-laws side because I only consult each side on their own things. Eg. GDL is done by my in-laws, so I ask in-laws to decide on the GDL date. My method may not be the best, I'm just giving u a suggestion becos I see u getting headaches over differing advices. I'm lazy to "entertain" differing views, so I tend to filter here & there hehe.
I hope my mum won't mention so many things for GDL & drowry. Who know in the end, we have to buy those items ourselves

Hey girls, I'm back. Ivy, I think your EG is gorgeous! I love hot pink and those shoes are amazing! I've also got matching shoes for my EG, so I know how shiok it feels
Yup today I went for my first fitting, and I love my EG! The purple is exactly the shade I hoped it would be and the gown turned out like the design. It's not finished yet so today was a lot of pinning and standing still. I brought my matching shoes and they were perfect
Then I tried on a few CS cos it's in my package. Don't know which one I should go for as a tea gown- help me choose? Photos are here (contacts only, so add me if you want to see):

It's quite common to see ppl hold separate banquets for relatives & friends nowadays. If you are holding a small banquet for friends, I suggest Rochester Park, Sentosa beach, hehe these places are romantic. You can have something different, maybe outdoor, western food etc!

aiyo....now i feel so tired, need to find smwhere to have a short getaway wif my fh cos we hardly have any quality time spent tgr to romance each other, it's either wk or wedding prep tis yr

HI,Diamond actually has no value. If you want to spend bomb on 4DJ i think you should buy gold rather than diamond.Mostly all this 4dj we dun get to wear it, Must as well you keep gold in your drawer and still can appreciate.

Ivy, guys always got something to say about colors. So pink = pink panther; dark green = army uniform; light green = bus conductor. So if they pick black with white shirt, you can say they look like panda, if pick all white, can say they look like polar bear, or if tuxedo, you can say they look like penguin.
