Ohh.. we wanted to make do with just Buffet initially..My dad opposed..coz I'm an only child..so have to be a "Grand-er" one... hehe..

Hi ladies, have been away and notice so much activities have been going on! Jac is right, it's important to start early to minimise stress.
Thanks to my friend, I've been coerced to start early, and to my shock, the type of gown I like takes 10 months to complete! And as you start sourcing, you get more involved and excited about it!!
Men usually aren't very patient, and may not give the best advise, so get a good friend to go with you. Someone who's married is even better cos she is experienced to ask those important questions for you. Only once you've shortlisted, then you get your FH along.
Another advise I've gotten is to prep your FH about the style you are going to have. There have been cases where the FH black-face at the Bridal Shop. Then the whole experience is tainted.

My HTB is very into the wedding prep...i think sometimes he is more excited than me..as such, we are basically doing everything together. What I did was to make appts with the BS that require appts and then tell him that we can go to those BS along TG pagar and as well as those that I've made appt with. He happily went along with me
I think the reason why the website suggested going with gfs instead of bf is so that the BS cannot pressure you into signing on the spot with them. Cos need your bf to pay....so that's one way of handling the hard sell by the BS. But cos I was really determined to visit the BS that I've shortlisted, we could handle the hard-selling.
Do take note though...the shops that hard sell really say all kinds of things...esp like the package they offer you is valid only for that day etc. But the higher ends one are a lot better in terms of service; they will actually advise you to look around first and there will be a gown somewhere out there that I'm looking for...that's what my BS told me.
And do some research before going to BS; like the types of questions you want to ask.

Hi Mary Poppins, i dun think can change for other stuff if i dun MTM for either one or both. But i Think will take the MTM for the ROM dress which my FH say can keep, in case can wear it to attend other people's wedding dinner. Haha, save cost.

Those bad comments are true abt my BS cos I already kena from them.
Last year, I bought Li Zhi Yuan ba kwa. This year maybe I buy mushrooms, pineapple tarts and nuts. We ladies already giving our in-laws a DIL so I dun think they'll hiam our gifts haha.

haizzzz.. i cant even afford a $700 PG! i'm actually looking for PG that charges around $500. we might be asking friend to shoot for us. i have no progress so far for the rest. still the same thing that i wrote on top.. ha.
MIL has many brains..kept changing her ideas. Very frustrated. Decided to put it a stop until she finalise what she wants. Mind u..mind actual day is March 8 and my card is not done.....
i wish i could enjoy the process ..somehw i dont. what a joke!

My wedding is half over!
Had my church wedding yday. Thank God for the good weather. It rained in the early morning and I was worried that it will continue this way for the rest of the morning but it cleared up by the time I had to leave the house.
My wedding dinner is tonight. Looking forward to it. Really enjoying my wedding

Hey ladies, any advice on where we can get cheap curtains? My MIL insists that we get a new one for the room. And this is for our temporary place so we do not intend to spend too much on it. And the temporary place is using those old type of curtain hangers, with hooks kind. It's 1.5 weeks to our AD so not much time to go hunt for such things.

Cheer up, my MIL is also like that at times. Over the GDL matters, she suddenly say want this & that. Me & hubby rushing everywhere to buy. Worse is that my mum modern type, everything also don't want, say the things messed up her house etc. Hubby pan dang type must follow tradditional method.
I middle type, trying to please everyone. But just relax & just go along with the flow, you will be more happy. For wedding cards no need to be too special, as its for guest only & ppl will not remember it just b'cause you hv very unique wedding cards. Y nt take affordable cards, & spend more on PG?

Mi and FH went to shop for CNY clothes and shoes last weekend. I saw a couple of shoes quite nice, think can use for PS or AD.. keke.. is it too early to buy? Maybe should wait till i go choose gown first hor..haha..

My friend was just sharing with me the other day abt the designer-built HDB flats that attracted long queues... the prices are at about 600 - 700K, yet they have the income ceiling for applicants right? It just doesn't make sense. And HDB is suppose to be doing public service, yet still jerk up the price by so much!

btw, i went for my OD PS today. pretty gd weather.. we set-off abt 2pm. hehs.. and went to the punggol area.. hmm.. fun.. but once again, super tiring..
so, tip for u gals : pls get lots lots lots of slp before the shoot! haha..

i will be looking at the pics on 12th Feb. so, ya.. after CNY lors.. i guess my album will be done pretty soon after dat.. and i shld have it ... like .. abt 2-3mths before my AD? haha.. but ya.. its gd la. at least.. towards e end .. not so rush. haha =)

Just had my 1st gown fitting on saturday.. hmm.. advice is that u can do cutting from the magazines.. then let ur designer take a look.. that's what I did.. faster and she knows what i want..
