yo chatter.... are u sure that Merchant have the same pricing with Otani.... i thought Merchant will be more ex leh.... anyway got ppl comment that they are not so flexible and need to charge $2 for the seat cover leh........ well as for otani......... it don't come with free flow but they also give u 24 bottles of wine leh...

Hi priscilla

I can't comment on htl phoenix cos I din view this hotel. As for Carlton, their ballroom is ok, but wat I dun like is there's 4 pillars in the ballroom, which make the ballroom look very cramp. As for their food, its thumbs-up!!

Hi bearyhugs,

My AD's on 29th May 05, Sunday. I'll be having the wedding reception in church on 28th.. so have one evening to rest first, before the dinner on Sunday. Yeah, the ballroom's L-shaped, at first, i wasn't really comfortable with it, but then, after speaking to my fiance, my family and his family, think it brings a different "feel" to the whole hall, unlike normal square/rect shaped ballrooms..hehe.. also.. what i really really liked was the entrance to the hotel and the reception area lor... Oh yah, eunice also said can do a longer walk in if we want, instead of a diagonal to the stage... Think you'll see what i mean when you go there yourselves lah..heh.. Eunice is very very nice!!!

Friendly and helpful.. Heard the food there is supposed to be very good as well..

Oh, another nice ballroom i visited was Meritus Mandarin, the ceiling like ST's ballrm ceiling like that (i'm a sucker for high ceilings).. Quite nice.. heard the prices there are not bad too! Marriott has a SINGLE pillar..haha...

jelly - outside photographer are usually provided by those designer bridal boutique...providing photography is only a value added service for client. and you also have the choice to choose from the few photographers the boutique tie up with...usually these are renowed photographer whose price are very steep...andrew choi charging $2000 and above for 20pcs of 12R with album...usually cannot bargain with the boutique for additional photos unlike those BS wherby the photographer is inhouse and hence can bargain for more....

Jelly - Heard you are thinking of Merchant Court? The food there is very good, ballroom very nice but a disadvantage is that parking lot is a problem. Road there is abit narrow and space very limited. And yes they charge $2 per cover sit.cannot bargain one....

Btw, juz wanna noe which branch are we going for the Chong Qing Steamboat? And also how's the BS hunt going?

i heard abt some bad experience with that pink london cab.. must really remember to confirm or what.. dunn what mis communication with the driver for that bride. in the end on the day, before her wedding, she realised that the london cab not for her. cos she never double confirm.

chatterx...i think some BS allow u to skip their photograhper but they only give little rebate..then u got to pay extra to engage the professional..bong wah lei..
