anna, i print our t-shirts at a printing shop at hougang mall.. i tink other places tat do t-shirt printing can do it. there are some at bras basar. we have been searching for a unit since jan this yr, viewed abt 40+ units liao ah.. but either we liked it but owner asking for $$$ or affordable at valuation but condition no good hence reno cost will be substantiate.. haiz...
btw, i rvd your pix liao, very well taken, like taking PS hehe... and u are very pretty

Tweety > HDB now terms their apartments as Gong Yu Shi...from what I understand, the current BTO are for 3 and 4 rooms. I would have loved to apply for it then get my parents to apply the 3 room so that we can stay near to each other but then my parents already bought 2 new flats before, no more chance. I am just thinking that once I shift to my new flat next yr and younger sister gets married, they will be quite lonely in the current 4 room flat lor. Plus housework will become tedious as age catches up. My mum is 50, my dad is 51.

Fernvale is pretty near to my place. I bought a resale in outskirt of Hougang, near to Buangkok (act still near my parents, 5-10 mins walk). Fernvale is behind Buangkok, near to CTE and TPE. Close to estates such as Seletar, Hougang, Serangoon and AMK. But I agree the new flats are pathetically small. Heard that flats in western parts, Admiralty, Woodlands areas tend to be bigger.

AMK really very exp lor. In laws stay there. We actually balloted for the new flats facing Bishan Park last year. 4 rooms cost 230K - 280K. Area range from 90-94 sq m. We were selected but Q no. very bad. Left with 1st-4th floor units on our appt day so we gave up. No more corner units also. Didnt wana pay so much for low floor corridor units thus we gave up. But the env is good, facing Bishan Park, near to wet market and swimming pool. I reckon that the resale value will be good next time. Somemore it is under PM's ward. No worries about estate cleanliness or upgrading next time. Our resale 5 room at mid level cost us 278K eventually, area is 115 sq m. The flat only 6 years old. Near to parents, first timer....so got a total of 40K grant. The prob is next time levy will be siong if we want new flats.


I still dont know what food I should bring on the 8th.......

tweety: agree that woodlands is VERY far. we wanted to get la casa a few months back and try travelling there from work place and parents' place by MRT. cannot take it. too far, the journey really tired me out. but think for you not too bad cos parents staying at woodlands. we are all westerners, so find it hard to adapt.

Their min requirement is 20 ppl and starts from $300 per table nett, comes with free flwo soft drinks n tea. The next level wld be $350 per table n $400 per table. We got the $350 per table and 2 kinds of red wine. Only remembered we got the $25 per bot nett ones. N its was during mooncake festival. We had discounts for mooncake oso, bought 10 boxes for mil to give relatives n frens. The bill was abt slightly over $2k. U need to take the $400 per table menu to use the pte room. The restuarant wld have normal walk-in guests, they will only seperate the tables from normal guests with the partition. The solemnisation wld be at the stage n walk-in guests will be there to view the whole ceremony. I was quite lucky cos we had more tables n we book 1st so we had prority. We get to choose to have ours at the quayside and we had tables near the stage. The other couple had to move to those tables further in becos of my hubby's request to sit near the stage.

The whole thing was a blessing in disguise cos we had to make do with the 2pm solemnisation initially cos my jp was fully booked and he was late on dat day. Why I said blessing is because as a result, we had the whole plc to ourselves cos the walk-in customers left kekek

hee, i got my dress frm empire. found their cut v flattering, can hide the fat bits. my hb choose the color.

i only intend to start sourcing for my AD venue aft i settle my house. but aft hearing frm u gals that a lot of brides hv booked their AD venue... i m feeling a little stress. My hb's relatives will not b coming so i wun hv a lot of tables, prob abt 10-15... so am restricted by choice of venus... anyone got any good suggestion?

sue, fotohub 50cents per pic ar quite ex. leh... see how tonite go my place there e kodak shop alot of ppl. develop their pics there develop pics there before also but its film type so think will try their digital this time dunno how much they charge. tonite go and ask first...

supagal, $0.40 think still ok hope my place there no developing charge lor cause some places they charge $3 process fee for lesser pics.

Just to share. there is a photo development centre: AMK Colour Centre, once you come out from toa payoh mrt stn and turn to the left, very near the breadtalk there. 4R digital development is 35 cents each. if development more than 30 pieces there is 15%, if photos more than 200 pieces, 25% discount. but for digital prints development, no album will be provided. service not bad, staff quite friendly...
