unless u r still waitin 4 the tong shu 2 b out then u can settle ur date...
as 4 the bridal u onli need 2 sign up 9mths b4 ur intended date 4 mtm & 6mths b4 4 otr...

pls do welcome me as I m also a 2003 bride but cant confirm my dates cos no tung shu yet. Am planni for Mar-May2003.

Some background on myself:
1. My ROM was on Jul00
2. My flat has been renovated at Woodlands
3. Am planin to marry-off at Mar03-May03
4. Have decided to sign $5k brial package w White Link
5. Banquet venue, either M hotel or Grand Plz.
Am now v anxious to fix my date as I m afraid tat hotel wil be taken up. Any comment on White Link, M hotel & Grand Plz?

yup, went to have a look alrdy and alrdy signed up...the staff are very friendly, the shop give you a cosy kinda feeling, quite nice...they also allowed me to try on their gowns even before i confirm signing up. My FH & I like the designs. Photography is ok, although I like Milan better...

wld you be holding any customary wedding dinner? If yes, perhaps you can explain to your parents that since you'll be inviting your relatives for the dinner, it shld be ok to leave them out for the ROM lunch.
For my case, I didn't even inform my relatives that I'm going to ROM but my parents have told them abt the wedding next yr...I'll be inviting some close friends for ROM instead and a dinner after that cos mine is in the late afternoon...
But each family has its own practices...let your parents know your budget constraint, I'm sure they'll understand and will try to help work something out....be a happy bride on 21 May

well i din inform my relatives tat mi gettin rom...
mum told them...
as 4 my rom solemnization, its done among my immediate famili ( grandma, my parents, my younger sis, his parents, his younger sis & 2 of my frenz plus my photographer who is a fren of my hubby )
its reali a famili affair...
din hv any rom lunch or high tea after tat...
had a chalet @ east coast instead where we invited our frenz & colleagues 2 share our joy...
as 4 relatives we decided 2 leave them out 4 the rom...
will definateli invited them 4 our weddin dinner...
like wat blissful said, diff famili hv diff practice...

He felt that it is just only a formality to treat the guest. Moreover, the guest group is too big. So must go for more economical one. No point go to Fort Canning.
Now, I am happy.. at least meet my budget.

I too talior-made my rom dress $100 for the workmanship. Cloth you have to buy yourself. It's a simple full-length bustier. It's veri sweet but will not be wearing it coz I bought a 2nd hand wedding gown from a bridal boutique @ also $100. It's also a bustier with beads infront & splits open into 2 at the back with layers of organza which drags a little.
If you're interested in my seamstress, just let me know. Saw flowee's rom dress. It's beautiful, mine tailor-made is just a simple one.
