Xuan Lin and Junwei’s Sunset Wedding at 1-Altitude Coast
Xuan Lin and Junwei sealed their love against a stunning sunset at their rooftop wedding at 1-Altitude Coast.
From a swipe on Bumble to saying “I do” under a Sentosa sunset, Xuan Lin, 29, Sales, and Junwei, 30, Tech’s journey is a modern-day love story grounded in balance, warmth, and thoughtful intention. Their wedding at 1-Altitude Coast on 2 November 2024 reflected their personalities perfectly—fun-loving yet sincere, with carefully curated moments and heartfelt details.
How did the two of you meet?
Bumble! We both swiped right and here we are!
What drew you to each other?
Xuan Lin: Junwei didn’t have much on his profile, so it was a bit of a gamble, but I thought, why not take a chance and see how it goes? I always joke that Junwei has a more stringent criteria, including even details like horoscope, jobs, and school.
What is it about your partner that you love the most?
We really complement each other. Junwei is calm, practical, and always ready to take care of things—whether it’s chores or fixing things around the house. On the other hand Xuan Lin tends to be the planner, especially when it comes to organising trips and making sure everything’s in order. We balance each other out.
What was the moment that made you realise that he/she was the one for you?
For us, it’s all about being able to truly be ourselves. It’s the joy of looking forward to seeing each other at the end of the day and wanting to tell the person everything. We are able to be each other’s strongest support, but also being able to call out when another person is in the wrong.
Tell us about your proposal.
Junwei: It took place as part of a photoshoot in Taiwan. There was a lot of coordination work required with the photographer to plan on where is the best location to do it. Also, I really wanted a nice sun-set but we could not control that of course.
Xuan Lin: I completely knew it was coming, because he is not the kind to organise a surprise photoshoot out of nothing. I guess the effort still counts :D
How did you plan your wedding?
We used SingaporeBrides to research on the different vendors. We chose One Altitude Coast for our venue as we wanted a location where we can host a nice after-party. When we saw the rooftop area, where we could also get a nice sunset solemnisation and a fun after-party, we knew it was the right place.
Did you have a wedding theme?
We just wanted our friends and family to chill and have fun. Hence, we put a lot of thought into the activities and favours (i.e., the selection of lighting props for our after-party.)
Take us back to your wedding day
It was very hectic, but fun. We remember feeling a mix of joy and anticipation, but also this deep sense of gratitude and love that everyone came to spend their time with us.
What did your family/friends have to say about your wedding day?
We were happy everyone saw the effort we put in! Many commented that it was a really fun wedding. We had many different details put into it from the registration activities to the after-party props. Of course, everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves because there was a lot of alcohol too.
What was the most memorable moment of your wedding?
The most memorable part is realising that this is one of the very few occasions where you will have everyone you love (both friends and family) all in one place.
What is one lesson you’ve learned from your wedding planning that you’d like to share with other couples?
Don’t be too stressed about it, enjoy the process because it will be over in a blink of an eye! One piece advice that I didn’t know–book your solemniser early too if your date is a popular one!
