An Ethereal Eden – A Wedding Styled Shoot Inspired by Dreams, Exploration and Love Stories

You’ve wandered through an ethereal eden at The SingaporeBrides Wedding Fair 2024 earlier in July. Now, read about how our stylist brought their vision of a magical forest to life.

Other than being the place to meet a wide variety of wedding vendors, score attractive deals and walk away with exciting prizes while shopping for a wedding, The SingaporeBrides Wedding Fair is also where soon-to-be-wed couples can get inspiration for their wedding from our creative concept area, where we showcase bold and innovative themes put together by a talented stylist. This year, Brendan, founder and lead stylist at Fellow Folks, dreamed of taking couples on a journey through an enchanting forest where they meander through lush and overgrown foliage.

Brendan’s vision for the concept area at The SingaporeBrides Wedding Fair 2024 in July is centred around a girl who is a dreamer and an explorer, searching for a love story she can call her own. As she ventured deeper, she discovers a beguiling garden overgrown with foliage and resplendent blooms. Enraptured by its untouched beauty, whiffs of fragrant blooms and the tender caress of grass, she explores the enchanting garden in search for her love story.

Known for creating lush foliage, varying floral textures and tree installations, Brendan fully made use of the expansive floor space to create a secret garden that was filled with overgrown foliage and florals for couples to experience the magic and mystery of the outdoors. He created walkways under arch cutouts in the main backdrop for couples to enter and meander through the entire concept area, with dimly lit wall lamps as decorative features to add on to the feel of mystery.

Along the way, cascading moss and ferns greet them, adding to the mysterious, overgrown look and feel of an enchanted garden that Brendan had envisioned for the couples. On their exit out of their exploration of the secret garden, couples will pass through two floral columns featuring vertical floral and foliage installations.

To help couples imagine what a secret garden would look like on a table, Brendan styled a dining table in the most whimsical manner, with wild, overgrown flowers and greens as a centrepiece, accompanied by unusual elements like eggplants and cauliflowers – exactly how he imagined dining in the mysterious forest would be like. Instead of using chairs, he surrounded the table with tree installations to reinforce the idea of what dining in the wilderness would look like.

With his bold and creative imagination, Brendan showed couples how they can get innovative with their wedding styling without using extravagant elements to achieve a visually stunning concept that will deliver an unforgettable experience for them and their guests.
