Trixie and Steve’s Ethereal Wedding at Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort and Spa
Their relationship quickly grew when a business meeting brought Trixie and Steve together, and they celebrate their union with a gorgeous, ethereal wedding at Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort and Spa.
Trixie and Steve, both entrepreneurs, did not take long to know that they were meant to be. From the easy conversations to the same interests they shared, they are a match made in heaven, and the two decide to celebrate their big day with a luxe-bohemian wedding at Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort and Spa amongst their family and friends.
Tell us a little bit about your story. How did the two of you meet?
Trixie: We first met at a conference and work event. He asked to meet me for a meeting but it became a dinner date! I was initially quite wary when he asked if he should pick me up. I remember texting him back saying, “It’s okay, I will get there by myself” because I was scared to be in the car alone with him.
The thing that left a mark within me was our conversation during dinner. As we’re both entrepreneurs, it wasn’t surprising that we talked a lot about work and business-related issues. He even gave me really good advice! We never had an awkward moment of silence when we’re together and there was not a time we did not know what to talk about.
What did you love most about your partner? What made you fall in love with your partner?
Trixie: I love that he has my back in every situation I face or may face in the future. He is someone whom I can count on and he is my rock when I get anxious or stressed. Above all, the best thing about him is that he constantly checks in on me and asks if I feel loved by him. My feeling loved and cared for is important to him and that makes me feel safe and secure in our relationship.
What was the proposal like?
Trixie: It was very private and simple. We were in Seoul and went up to the N Seoul Tower.
Where did you hold your wedding and how did you create your wedding theme?
Trixie: We had our wedding at Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort and Spa. How we finally landed on our theme was quite funny actually! I got my wedding dress very early on in our planning as I knew which designer I wanted to wear from the moment he proposed. From there, we quickly and easily developed the theme based on what my dress looks like, and we finally ended up with a bohemian-luxe feel for the entire wedding.
What was your wedding day like?
Trixie: It was surprisingly calm. I managed to eat most of the food that was served which was not an easy feat. We had such a wonderful food tasting at Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort and Spa before the wedding that I was actually looking forward to feast on the day itself – and I did!
Yanling, our planner from Amperian, allowed us to enjoy ourselves without having to stress about the little details. She took care of everything else! The wedding went incredibly smoothly and we cannot ask for a better day to celebrate with our loved ones.
What was the most memorable moment of your wedding?
Trixie: It was definitely when we were reciting our vows. Although we wrote them beforehand and I practised it a few times, saying it on the day directly to my husband definitely brought on the waterworks!
