Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa’s Magnificent Wedding Show
Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa revealed fresh new looks for their wedding venues during their September wedding showcase, the Magnificent Wedding Show.
With beautiful colonial architecture and a spectacular hilltop locale offering stunning views, Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa has always had a lot to offer couples seeking a beautiful wedding venue. Now, with the resort’s new refurbishment under Sofitel’s romantic French sensibilities, the resort brings its beautiful outdoor gardens in, with floral motifs and elements in the new wedding venue designs.
I joined couples who attended the wedding showcase in admiring the hotel’s latest wedding themes as we explored the freshly unveiled ballrooms. Infusing the influences of both French gardens and local flora, Sofitel’s designer kept the rich wood detailing of the rooms, and accented its warm, earthy ambience with delicate raindrop chandeliers, floral designs on the flooring, and modern floral artwork on the walls of the reception lounge. An abundance of natural daylight floods the halls through charming glass-panelled French doors that open out onto the terrace with its panoramic view. The resultant décor extends the vibrant Sentosa gardens into the hotel’s luxurious indoor setting, creating an inviting atmosphere perfect for celebrations.
Outdoors, beautiful wedding ceremony set-ups invited couples to dream about their own happily ever after. At the enchantingly unique Spice Island Point, couples can exchange their promises under the romantic trellis of a garden wedding arch, against a breathtaking backdrop of the South China Sea with yachts sailing across the horizon. Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa’s open-air terraces also offer a spectacular view, and outdoor solemnisations segue easily into indoor dinner banquets in the adjacent ballrooms.
Couples at the Magnificent Wedding Show were the first to preview Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa’s latest wedding themes. Gilded with an Oriental cherry blossom theme, the Saffron Ballroom featured a romantic and modern palette of pink and gold. With classic parquet flooring, enchanting raindrop LED chandeliers, and a private foyer for your cocktail reception, the Saffron Ballroom is able to host a party of 140 wedding guests in elegant comfort.
The Straits Ballroom, with views of the South China Sea, was decorated with fluffy white baby’s breath and a grass aisle lined with pomanders to create the enchanting Jardin D’Amour theme that blended with the views of the lush foliage in the glass windows. Spacious and elegantly appointed, this ballroom can host up to 260 seated guests.
We were offered a taste of the chef’s culinary abilities in a buffet of delicious savouries and canapés. Those who wanted a hot meal tried the noodles served at the live station, or the beautifully roasted rack of ribs. I couldn’t resist the pretty dessert table of macaron pops and gourmet chocolates.
Besides meeting The Sentosa Resort & Spa’s carefully selected team of partnering vendors, couples also enjoyed exclusive value-added items worth up to $6,288, and one lucky couple walked away with a Magnificent Wedding worth up to $40,000, and a honeymoon stay of a Sofitel property in Bangkok!
