Inspired by the laid-back and casual vibe of a beach side wedding, Kenny from Wanderlust Dream and his team of wedding creatives cooked up a dreamy styled shoot with a wild and free-spirited, bohemian vibe along the Melasti Beach in Bali. Read on and let the photographs speak for themselves.

So, Kenny, share with us the story behind this styled shoot.

Kenny: It all started with an idea to inspire more couples to have their pre-wedding shoot or even their wedding by the beach. The theme we had in mind was a free-spirited and wild, bohemian styled shoot with a campfire for an extra touch of warmth because we always see this concept being done in the jungle setting but rarely seen it done by the beach, so we wanted to try something different.

To bring our theme to life, we chose muted yet elegant, warm autumn shades like red and orange for a contrast against the pure white colour of the sand. We also felt like these colours were the best in bringing out that free-spirited, bohemian vibe we were aiming for.

How did you go about bringing the concept to life?

We worked with a talented team of creatives who were adventurous in their own undertakings to create something different for our styled shoot. Our Bali vendors, Silverdust Decoration and Varawedding took charge of the styling of the shoot. We picked Melasti Beach in Bali as our venue because it has a great cliff wall at a corner that fits right into our theme.

Initially, we engaged a model couple for the shoot but they were uncontactable nearing the shoot day. So, we had to pick a real life couple on the spot! It sounds really crazy, but we were really lucky to have found this couple featured in our shoot as we felt they carried the right vibe we wanted for the shots. Thankfully, they agreed to join us for the shoot! To help them visualise our concept, we showed them photo references of our ideas.
