Modern Elegance in Black and Mauve at The Alkaff Mansion Wedding Styled Shoot
This Alkaff Mansion wedding styled shoot lifts the popular wedding venue’s classic elegance with bold and modern accents, pairing sleek acrylic signs with chic and organic florals in a black, mauve, and dusty pink palette.
We’re thrilled to share this modern elegant styled shoot we put together at The Alkaff Mansion! We wanted clean and modern lines paired with sophisticated florals to put a fresh spin on wedding elegance, and our amazing team of creatives crafted a gorgeous series of sets to inspire you!

A quintessential garden wedding venue in Singapore, The Alkaff Mansion re-opened its doors in April 2019 after a beautiful makeover. Set majestically atop a hill, The Alkaff Mansion is beloved by soon-to-wed couples for its grand Tudor architecture and Belle Epoche style. For garden solemnisations, the romantic gazebo and European-style fountains offer the perfect idyllic setting. For our styled shoot, stylist Hanzhi of The Joy Troopers brought our concept to life, elevating The Alkaff Mansion’s classic architecture with chic and minimalist styling in a contrasting palette of sleek black, blush pinks, dusty mauves, and clean whites. Annabel Law Productions captured the soft and romantic mood of the whole styled shoot absolutely beautifully, and Alvin of Iriswave crafted a lovely short film to document the sets.
The gazebo at The Alkaff Mansion is such an iconic solemnisation venue that we had to style it! Hanzhi envisioned a chic and elegant look accented with bold and modern black acrylic signs and tall dark lanterns. To frame the gazebo for a solemnisation, Liz from Liz Florals created gorgeous, organic floral arrangements using elegant phalaenopsis orchids and chic, full-blown roses in shades of dusty pinks and mauves. Black tiffany chairs added to the modern look, while a playful acrylic sign reminded guests to keep their eyes up, phones down, and hearts open.
Model Rachel Wong wore a minimalist off-shoulder gown in chic satin by wedding gown designer Divine Couture in keeping with our modern elegant theme. Her look was completed with soft curls and a classic red lip by Valda of Makeup Maestro Wedding, and she carried a beautiful, organic bouquet of mauve roses and white phalaenopsis orchids.
UNA, on the second level of The Alkaff Mansion, is an elegant space for wedding receptions, and our amazing team created a sophisticated setting for an intimate celebration. Styled by The Joy Troopers with tall and organic florals by Liz Florals and dusty pink drapes, a cosy round sweetheart table let lovebirds whisper sweet nothings over wine. For the guest table, The Joy Troopers styled an intimate long table with a pretty and organic floor arrangement by Liz Florals, elegant tall candles in gold holders, and an acrylic table number sign. A sleek and modern black and blush invitation suite by Irma of Spinsugar Stationery completed the sets.
As our playful dessert table sign says, no great love story ever started with a salad! The team styled a romantic and elegant dessert table with decadent treats by Huiyi of Bloomsbury Bakers. Rich dark chocolate brownies, dainty gold-flecked blackberry tarts, and cheesecake shots were temptingly arrayed on gold mirrored trays, layered with lush florals and dusty pink drapes. A black marbled cake with sugar orchids also by Bloomsbury Bakers took centre stage on our dreamy dessert table.
This styled shoot was such fun to create, and we loved putting a bold and modern spin on elegant weddings with the black, blush, and mauve palette. We hope that the set inspires you as you plan your own timeless celebration!
