Styled Shoot: A Wedding in a Suitcase
If you’re looking for a pretty and easy way to DIY wedding decor, you’ll want to take a look at this new concept–weddings in a suitcase!
When Ereen and Vanessa from Suitcase Weddings shared this styled shoot with us, we immediately thought of all our DIY brides! Put together to introduce the launch of their new service, the shoot shows what you can do with their weddings-in-a-suitcase concept, where themed wedding décor is all packed and ready for brides or their wedding helpers to assemble themselves.
Great for couples who want to style their weddings or pre-wedding shoots on their own, Suitcase Weddings offers themed suitcases for rent, packed with props, backdrops, and other décor details to create a pretty reception table or other wedding décor. Better yet, each suitcase comes with tools and instructions for suggested setups! Of course, you are also free to play around with the props and create your own design.
Shot by Awesome Memories Photography, this styled shoot features the contents of the Marble + Copper themed suitcase along with fresh flowers by My Floral Loft, custom laser-cut wooden signage by Bella Chic, and a cake by Zee x Elle. Modelled by Melissa Jane Ferosha and Ashton Chong, who are dressed in The Warehouse Bridal and John Klass Suits and made up by Autelier Makeup, the styled shoot hints that the suitcases are a good idea for pre-wedding styling as well.
The Marble + Copper suitcase itself consists of a marble print backdrop with a stand, a sparkly rose gold sequin cloth you can use for as a backdrop or tablecloth, and other items in pretty blush, marble and black hues. You’ll get a framed quote, calligraphy acrylic art, copper and marble vases, geometric terrariums, geometric stands, artificial floral garlands and stalks, LED candles, and loose satin cloths to complete the décor.
The suitcase comes in two options: the Full version for $600 or the Lite version at $370, which does not include the marble print backdrop and stand, and floral garlands. Each suitcase has a standard rental period of five days and requires a security deposit. Once arranged, couples can collect and return their suitcases at their convenience, from a locker cabinet outside Suitcase Weddings’ office using an assigned pin number.
