Saranghae — A Korean Wedding Styled Shoot
No Korean drama is complete without a happy ending – or at least a dreamy, romantic wedding. Get some inspiration from this styled shoot we did at the Presidential Suite at InterContinental Singapore with AndroidsinBoots (Still+Motion).
Did you not smile at the simple outdoor wedding ceremony Kim Shin and Eun Tak did in this year’s hit drama Goblin? Korean weddings, or the concept of Korean style wedding photography, gained popularity when the Korean drama wave hit Asia. Scenes of the female leads trying on wedding dresses, and the awed looks on the male leads’ faces as they see their romantic interests in a white gown have touched many a girl’s heart. Every gown that the celebrities walk down the aisle in becomes the new wedding dress trend of the year. The wedding photos of these celebrities, whether in real life or in the dramas, become the inspiration of lovebirds all over Asia as they prepare for their own dream weddings.
When you think back on the wedding scenes in the Korean dramas, you will find they are usually very romantic, dreamy, and softly lit against classy backdrops. This styled shoot at InterContinental Singapore features the beautiful blue, white and gold interiors of the Presidential Suite, which is perfect for our theme. We showcased two modern and softly-textured gowns from Ethereal The Label, a collaboration between Watabe Wedding and JessicaCindy. The shoot by AndroidsinBoots turned out so beautiful, we hope you’ll enjoy them and be inspired!
