Rach and Kai’s Fun Bangkok Pre Wedding Photography Session
Rach and Kai turned a trip to Thailand into a fun, easygoing Bangkok pre-wedding shoot that captured their relaxed personalities beautifully.
Rach and Kai both enjoy a good laugh, and share a sense of fun. After a surprise proposal during a fun trip in France, the couple flew to Bangkok for a relaxed pre-wedding session that captured them just being themselves and having a good time!
Tell us a little bit about your story, such as how the two of you met.
Kai: We met on a night out through a mutual friend many years back. We were initially friends, but got along very well… and here we are today!
What drew you to each other?
Rach: We have the same sense of humour, and always enjoy a good laugh. We are also both quite relaxed and take things as they come without worrying too much. Kai has a really keen eye for detail and is always there to bring little things to attention when the time calls for it. He also gets along very well with most people because he’s easygoing and good-natured.
What was the proposal like?
Rach: It was supposed to be a trip to France with some friends, and Kai, who was originally uninterested in going, suddenly insisted on coming along two months before we left. It was a very fun trip, and we ended it with a few days in Paris by ourselves. On one of our days alone, he insisted on taking pictures outside the Louvre for the second night in a row! I found that a bit strange, but he managed to catch me off guard when he popped the question there and then.
Which locations did you choose for your shoot, and why?
Kai: Initially, we were brainstorming some locations within Malaysia. Our photographer, Jane, came to know that we making a trip to Bangkok the following week, and suggested that it would be nice to do the shoot there. Without thinking much, we agreed and everything just fell into place for us.
What did you hope to capture during your Bangkok pre wedding photography shoot?
Rach: If there were one word to describe the shoot, it would be spontaneous. Which was completely our style. We wanted to have a fun, relaxing, and memorable experience, and it worked out to be just that–from the time we sat down with Jane to decide where we were going to shoot, till when we landed and were wandering along the streets of Bangkok. We got to see parts of the city that we would not normally see if we were to go on a regular trip by ourselves.
When will the wedding be, and what are your plans for it?
Rach: Our wedding will be in June and July, for both mine and Kai’s families respectively. We just want all our friends and family to attend and have a good time, and also to have a memorable experience.
