Clara and Tim’s Ethereal Hokkaido Pre-Wedding Photography Session
Atop snow-capped mountains and backdropped by shimmering sunsets, Clara and Tim’s Hokkaido pre-wedding photography session shows an ethereal, breath-taking side of Japan you’ve never seen before.
Clara and Tim met at NUS Business School and set their hearts on each other seven years ago. Their breathtaking Hokkaido pre-wedding photography session brought back tender memories of their engagement in Japan, documents their newest adventure with breath-taking beauty.
What do you love most about each other?
Clara: His tender-heartedness, joyful demeanour, and smile that never fails to make me smile in return.
Tim: Her gentle and caring nature. She has been a constant pillar in my life and is always there to support and encourage me.
What did you hope to capture in your engagement session?
Tim: Japan means something to us as it was the place where we got engaged, so we wanted to go back there to relive those memories.
Clara: We wanted the shoot to be as authentic as possible, to capture the memories of our time spent holidaying together in a place that means something to us.
What was the proposal like?
Clara: Tim proposed at the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest in Kyoto with the help of two of our close friends and my sister when we were holidaying in Japan last year. It was simple yet really sweet, and was also our first snow together.
What was the experience like?
Clara: It was such a memorable experience. It felt more like a road trip than a photoshoot. We would stop our car whenever we saw beautiful places along the way and get down to shoot – that’s what made the shoot such great fun! Looking at our photos brings back such beautiful memories and we really cannot thank our photographer Adrian and makeup artist Hui Ling enough for everything that they have done to give us such beautiful photographs.
When will the wedding be, and what are your plans for it?
Tim: We got married on 7.1.17, marking seven years since the day we first set our hearts and minds on each other. It was the best day of our lives, because it was not just a celebration of us, but also of all the wonderful people in our lives who have brought us to where we are today.
