Fairmont Singapore and Swissôtel The Stamford Wedding Showcase

Magnificent ballrooms, sky-high wedding venues with a view, and exquisite bridal runway shows revealed at the Fairmont Singapore and Swissôtel The Stamford Wedding Showcase, “Where Dreams Come True.”

On Sunday, 23 April 2017, over 100 couples stepped into a fairy tale fantasy at the Fairmont Singapore and Swissôtel The Stamford wedding show, “Where Dreams Come True.” The enchanting afternoon unveiled magnificent ballrooms bedecked in alluring new wedding themes, previewed two bridal runway shows by My Dream Wedding and Love Story, and presented a curated selection of wedding vendors such as Iriswave, SK Jewellery, and Cynderella Makeup & Hair Services in an exciting showcase hosted by artiste Allan Wu and graced by Hong Kong celebrity Bernice Liu.

Magnificent Ballrooms and Exquisite Themes

Fairmont Ballroom

The stunning Raffles City Convention Centre with its dazzling array of ballrooms was transformed into a magical wonderland with wedding themes by Fairmont Singapore and Swissôtel The Stamford’s Romance team. For very grand celebrations, the opulent Fairmont Ballroom seats up to 190 tables banquet-style under stunning Art Deco chandeliers. The spacious, pillarless ballroom boasts an incredible 90-speaker concert-quality ceiling sound system and five built-in screens, and is versatile enough to be divided into three ballrooms each with its own audiovisual control rooms.

The showcase was hosted in the Collyer and Padang ballrooms, which can seat up to 100 tables. The striking geometric ceilings added glamour to the enchanting backdrop of tall, oversized paper flowers and ethereally white trees. At the head of the aisle, a graceful, magical carriage heralded the grand entrance of a princess bride. Next door in Canning Ballroom, romance blossomed in dainty pink and white hues and elegant floral arrangements.

Stamford and Atrium Ballrooms

Couples also toured the elegant set-ups in Stamford Ballroom, a grand, pillarless ballroom that can hold up to 60 tables, and the more intimate Atrium Ballroom, hosting up to 30 tables. That day, Stamford Ballroom was partitioned into two rooms, Sophia and Olivia, each with its own private foyer ideal for cocktail receptions. Offering a dreamy sneak into their special day, Sophia was bedecked in a beautiful Garden of Eden theme with lush green, white, and blush florals, while Olivia featured a premium Romantic Garden theme in exotic botanicals and blown glass ornaments.

Skysuites @ Equinox

Couples who wanted a more unique setting fell in love with the newly renovated Skysuites @ Equinox. Perched an impressive 69 floors high in the sky, the four Skysuites @ Equinox offer breathless views of the cityscape and the marina beyond from its wide glass windows, forming an unforgettable backdrop to celebrations of up to 350 guests for cocktails and 180 guests for sit-down meals.

Dream Wedding Gown Runway

One of the most important elements of a dream wedding is the perfect wedding gown, and the showcase offered not one, but two bridal runways to help brides make their selections. Ethereal ballgowns and dazzling lace trains from My Dream Wedding and Love Story swept brides off their feet as the fashion fairytale unfolded.

Wedding Packages and Privileges

Couples were also treated to a taste of Fairmont Singapore and Swissôtel The Stamford’s exquisite culinary offerings, and to exclusive wedding packages during the event. With the guidance of the experienced Romance team, couples could select from Chinese set menus, Western sit-down menus, International buffets, and other delights to suit their celebration’s needs. Wedding packages included privileges such as a hand-carved ice sculpture, complimentary beer and wine, and a stay in a luxurious bridal suite at Singapore’s tallest hotel.
