Chijmes Hall and Alcove at Caldwell House: The Perfect Venue For Wedding Memories of a Lifetime
Embark on an unforgettable wedding of a lifetime with Watabe Wedding’s unique wedding venues and exclusive bridal label in collaboration with Jessicacindy.
Weddings are a time for grand celebrations and everyone’s once-in-a-lifetime should be a memorable experience. No one knows this better than Watabe Wedding, one of the world’s leading bridal company with decades of experience of fulfilling over 30,000 couples’ wedding dreams each year.
The Watabe Wedding Group first started out as a humble kimono rental shop in 1953. Today, they are a renowned wedding organisation offering a wide range of domestic and international wedding services, consultation and wedding venues, including 14 stunning chapels all over the world in Japan, Guam, Hawaii, Bali, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and more.
Known for their famed Omotenashi hospitality and attention to detail and knack for picking out unique wedding venues, Watabe Wedding first arrived on our shores six years ago and took the iconic Chijmes Hall, a national monument, under its wing as its first wedding venue in Singapore. Situated at the heritage building CHIJMES complex downtown, the iconic early Gothic styled 19th century chapel boasts enviable high ceilings, beautiful detailed stained glass windows and lovely mosaic floor tiles that never fail to charm a couple when they visit.
The alluring chapel has been the go-to venue for unforgettable weddings of up to 300 guests and serves an outstanding 8-course Chinese cuisine set or 4-5 course Modern or Western cuisine menu. After the 2015 restoration of the entire CHIJMES complex, Watabe Wedding added the unique Caldwell House, one of the oldest residential buildings in Singapore designed and built by George Coleman, to their line-up of unique wedding venues and transformed the historic complex into one of the world’s most desirable wedding venues.
Like its highly sought-after and iconic sister venue Chijmes Hall, Alcove at Caldwell House is a one-of-a-kind space for intimate celebrations of up to 100 guests. An elegantly carpeted aisle welcomes you into the divine space as its pristine white walls, alluring Neoclassical windows and distinctive dome-shape ceiling leave you in awe of its spaciousness, openness and beauty. The French inscription on the dome, Marche en ma presence et sois parfait, which translates as “Walk along with me and be perfect”, makes every wedding at the Alcove sweeter and more joyous.
Fully committed to the art of Omotenashi, the world-famous Japanese attention to detail, Watabe Wedding is determined to become a one-stop comprehensive wedding solution expert who takes care of your every wedding need, including what you wear on your big day. To do so, they teamed up with one of Singapore’s most sought-after designer, Jessicacindy, to create Ethereal by Watabe Wedding and Jessicacindy, an exclusive line of wedding gowns specially for couples getting married at Chijmes Hall and Caldwell House.
Ethereal, dreamy and utterly feminine, Ethereal by Watabe Wedding and Jessicacindy is for the discerning bride who knows what she wants and celebrates her culture, heritage and traditions.
