Worried and Disappointed

Hi,

Just want to share my disappointment... My wedding is in 3 months and I just started to inform my friends of my joyous occasion... But the problem is, I am now faced with the stark reality that I do not have friends! At least friends who would even take the time out to attend the wedding... It's so saddening...

Sigh and it doesn't help that my FH has loads of friends, and would prolly have people scrambling to attend his wedding..

Now I am just really sad that people will realise I have no friends and such a loser I am...

Sigh...

Hi

Marriage is a private affair between you & your hubby. Don't worry abt too little friends. You are the star.

i dun remember ever going to a wedding and picking out which set of frens is groom's, which is bride's...

does it actually cross any of your minds??

basically this whole awareness has to do with yourself... and going forward, some of your husband's frens will actually be your frens.

Curious,

stick around more often in this forum. make down all the key issues. after you mark down and read it out loud. you will understand what i meant.

EL, u are right though...those that bother to attend are true friends. Don't worry about those who don't bother.

have u actually bothered to keep in touch or are u one of those girls who neglect frens once u've got a bfren? cos going down the list of typical lady mistakes, Neglecting frens after being attached strikes me as a very common occurance.

Even all your friends turn up, you won't have time to entertain and chat with them.

Lucky you didn't dig out your past records, those long lost friends and make them pay for your wedding banquet. Believe me, they will be very delighted not to receive a red bomb from a long lost or not too close friend. Wedding banquet is not a time to catch up cos you don't have time for them!

If you need 'sisters' can ask your cousins.

I didn't have a wedding table full of friends, I didn't invite all my colleagues, just one table for my dept/boss and distributed cakes to 30 others because I don't want to create unhappiness. They got me a gold bracelet, they happy, I'm happy.

One mistake I made was to mix wrong people in same table, old and young (strangers).

I attended a friend's who made the same mistake, my other 2 friends didn't attend, no chance to catch up, I agreed to go, can't turn down just days before wedding so nobody talk to me, except my hubby.
