Where to source for good printer

Dear all, how about card plus printing?? I want a sea-shells or beach theme. The cards provided by restaurant is a bit horrible. I need abt 200 cards & wedding is in late May. My buget is $300 plus.

Hi SagiGirl,

Think you really have to rush for the printing of the wedding cards as designing and printing might take some time but also depends on your requirements. Anyway, might be able to help u and so you can reach me at [email protected] for further details.

Hi all,

My hotel recommends ACEPro Creative Link

Person to contact: Veronica
Number : 97628361 (HP)

She is saying that just pure printing is $70 for 300pcs (inserts provided by me already, not sure if I do not have). Charging $0.50 for each card and $50 for the mold for hot-stamping. Is it cheap?

Just wanna know for those who used Hi-tech to print their wedding card inserts..May I know wat type of paper was used...just went over there and was told they only have 3 different colors..namely ivory, cream, pink and red....

if I were to use tracing paper, will need to purchase it myself and pass to them..

actually the cream colored paper looks okie with my invitation card..

any comment?

Hi everyone out there,

juz wanna check is there anyone uses Jasvy Marketing Agency recently to print their wedding cards. How much does it cost?

Hi all,

Your postings are so informative. I'll most probably give Hi-Tech a try since there's so many praises for them.

Hi Pastel,
I've spoken the lady at Hi-tech over the phone, he's very friendly & willing to answer all your quires.

Cheers:
Carol

Hi Cracker,
I had my invitation cards printed by Hi-Tech. They have 3 colors to choose from for the plain inserts. Cream, Peach, Pink.
I've choosen cream which compliments my cards very well.

The printing is clear & the charges resonable too.
They even provide gold string as well.
One thing, You have to tie it yourself.

They are able to confirm my Artwork within 2 days & printing done with a day.

Cheers:
Carol

Hi Enid,

I had mine done at Hi-Tech too. V happy with their service & efficiency.

For hot-stamping, they will $80 for the mould, after which $0.35 per pc. They will give u the gold string free whereas some place do charge 10 cents per string.

If it's insert, they charge $80 for the range of 100-200. I wanted ard 130 but they give another 50 extra since it's in the range as well. So in total I only spent $82.40.

But it's best to call to check again.

Regards,
ding dang

Hi Enid,
I've done my on normal insert (150pcs) printed with gold ink & they charge me $82.40(with GST) they give me the gold string as well.

Hot-stamping: $80 for the mould & $0.35 per card.

You can try to contact they for more pricing. You can look for Mei Yan.

Cheers:
Carol

Hi Carol,

Did u use HPIV wedding cards ? 3 folded page one ?
Is it nice to put the inserts ?

Anyone put any pics like Precious Moments ?

Hi Enid,
Yap, I'm using the HIPV wedding cards, 3 folded.
Although the insert is just 2 folded but I've a wedding vow on the other side.

carol and ding dang

how do you derived $82.40 for hot stamping on 130 cards?
for hot stamping does that mean i hv to pay $0.35 x 200 + $80 = $150?

do i hv to pay for the cost of the inserts? and the gold string will be given free?
if we print directly on the card does we still need the gold string?

Hi Carol,
I think you got it wrong, $82.40 (included GST)is for printing on the inserts, not hot-stamping.(130cards)

yes, for hotstamping(e.g 200cards) will be:
$0.35 x 200 +$80 = $150

No they wouldn't charge with for the cost of the material(inserts) & the gold strings were given to me FREE.

I think if you print on the cards directly, they will not give any gold strings, but you can still check with them.

Carol

I think it really depends on your preference, if you want them commonly available at a cheaper price or you want the cards classy but slightly pricier...my sis just did hers, 3-fold long-type, textured paper abt 250gsm, very elegant card for only S$2.40 with printing. It is considered as customized cards. I saw some of you said that local cards costs abt S$5???and you all actually went down to JB to do S$2.50 cards???
My sis printer also have cards above $4-6 but they are really very pretty,die-cut, embossed, hotstamping, and even normal printing included, with matching envelopes (with printing also). Some are also like story books..with hard board type..
amazing price I must say.

Hi,

I think the printer that I go to:

ACEPro Creative Link
Person to contact: Veronica
Number : 97628361 (HP)

is charging cheaper then Hi-Tech 'cos there is no GST. Also, the artwork is ready on the same day and just need our confirmation. It is b'cos according to most printers, due to the type of translucent inserts that I have, they charge more than the price that is provided here. But ACEPro is charging only 50 cents per piece and $150 for the mold.

Hi!Carol, may I ask you that do you have your design by them also or you design yourself and go there (Hi-tech) to print the cards only?

Do your wedding card is in English or Chinese or both languages?

Would you mind explain it in detail? Thank you

Thank you
Evon Un

Hi Evon,
I have the design by myself & only need HI-Tech to do the printing only. I choose the fonts myself too...

My wedding invitation cards come in both English & Chinese.

If you do not have any idea about the wordings used, they can help help by letting you choose the wording style, fonts, & color of the printed wordings. You only have to provide them your names, parents's names, banquet venue, time, R.S.V.P & so on... The will show your artwork for your amendment & approval.

Cheers:
Carol

Hi Herimone

do u have the address to ACEPro Creative Link?

Can i confirm with u their pricing? Is it $90 for 300pcs (inserts) For hotstamping, 50cents per pc and $50 for mould.

Thks

Hi gals,
Jes to share with you gals. I called Craft,Touch of luv and Wedding Giftshop today. Noticed that the others were quite costly and The Wedding Giftshop pricing is close to Hi-Tech.Slightly higher abt $0.10 to $0.20 diff, but I don't have to go all the way to AMK.Best part is they can collect cards from hotels, also they can do the tying of the "goldthread".
I think it is more worth it to go there if those are are working around town area- like me ,rather than go all the way to the AMK industrial park (unless you are staying in AMK/ ard that area/drive).

Will go down tomoro to see what else they can offer. Anyone else here have called them and what is your review?

Hi everybody,

After reading all the comments, I have a few questions to ask... cos became more confused...

which is better/cheaper? printing inserts for cards that are provided by hotel or printing on them directly?

does hi-tech at amk provide printing for church invites and programmes? is it better to self make the church invitations? how do I go about doing it? what about church programmes?

my wedding is in november... is it too early to print wedding invitations?

Hi Mint,

Based on my experience with Hi-tech, their service is good but the choices of paper is limited. For eg, they only provide 1 type of plain paper for inserts and you can only choose betw pink and ivory. If you want tracing paper or nicer paper for inserts, you have to provide your own for their printing.

I got mine done at Expresspoint and we were pleased with the outcome. They further provide suggestions on the style of printing the insert to make it look more unique. Look for their boss Roxannie (Tel : 6774-7717) if you are interested.

You only need to get your card ready 1.5 months b4 your wedding. So around 2 months b4 yoru wedding, you can start sending your cards for printing.

Hi! Hwee,

Do u think u could provide me with the quotation on hot stamping for this company (Expresspoint)?
And where is this printing firm located?

Pretty interested in them.
Thks for your info!

Hi curious,
WG is at Marina Sq...63375512

They have have lots of paper inserts for you to choose from, until blur hehehe

Welcome!

Hi Loreal,

Expresspoint is located in Bukit Merah Industrail Park, next to PSB Building.

fyi, my card is like an envelope itself and I actually tot of printing only 1 languauge directly on the card. However, they suggested to print a double sided insert on a cardboard type of paper, 1 side in chinese, 1 side in english. Many of my friends who received my invites commented its unique. As for the price, I suggest u contact them to enquire cos they gave us a special price as we previously engage them for some printing jobs. However, one of my friend who got them to print is charged something like $100 for matt printing on 300 pcs of traslucent paper.

Hi all,

Just wanna recommend my printers here as we are really pleased with their good service and efficiency

Katong Shopping Centre B1-28.

Another quite good printer is ExpressPoint which Hwee has mentioned here.

Comparatively, ITEK is really cheap and quality pretty good. Service is good and efficient too.

There's another printer which really gave me a lot of trouble, never gets back to me and super slow in doing everything, till FH & I got so fed up we decided not to use them anymore. They are Unique Press at Toa Payoh. The lady there has an attitude problem too, always sound irritated with me when on the phone...and hey, I'm the customer u know.

Well, just thot of sharing our research on printers with u here...hope it helps

Hi! Hwee,
Thks for your info!
The location is pretty inconvenient for me but would still check it out since the price is reasonable.

Hi Loreal,

In fact Expresspoint has an small outlet at Suntec City, inside Evergreen Bookshop. U can arrange to meet up with them to discuss at Suntec too.

Hi! Hwee,
Oh that would be good more convenient..
K then would go and check it out!

Thks for informing!

Hi Hwee,

Thank you for your tips. Really clarified my doubts. (not so confused). I'll check out Expresspoint since their location is quite convenient.

Hi

I have decided not to use my hotel's wedding card but the hotel can only give me a $50 rebate for about 250pcs of wedding card. Can anyone share with me what kind of reasonable rebate can we get from the hotel if we choose not to use their wedding cards?

Does anyone know of a good printer who does customised wedding cards at an affordable rate?

Hi Gabriel

Tot it maybe cheaper to use hotel cards?? cos printing will not cost that much.

if u get cards outside, tot the cost per card would be higher?

Hi Gabriel,

You can call Process Media @ 6842-1712 [ask for Sam Leow]. He did my friend's cards for abt $0.80 cents per piece with envelope. but theirs was a nice simple 1-fold white card with blue words (1 color printing). you can arrange to meet him, let him know the design, number of colors, type of paper texture you want (he'll have samples for you to choose) and he'll do an artwork for you and give you a quote.

Initially I wanted to do away with the hotel card cos it was too plain. But after calculating, it would cost about the same. I'm getting the hotel card, printing my inserts, then make it less plain by adding a gold ribbon. Looks quite good at the end of the day!

Hi Stars,

I think it depends on how many tables you confirmed with yr hotel. Normally they will give within 70%-80% base on yr no. of confirmed tables.

Hope this help!

hi all,

we used acepro, their svc very gd and prompt, collected it within a wk. veronica e salesperson is very helpful and friendly. price also very reasonable.

we printed on tracing paper inserts, $0.20 each. and printing fee of $80. total we printed 300 pcs for $138 only. they have quite a lot of pics and paper types, ink colors, etc to choose fr , all at no extra charge...

would strongly recommend their service...

Yeah, heard good praises for them too.Tot of making a trip there but
For me, I find the place alittle out of way for me, so by the time I go all the way there, at the end of the day, i might lose more on travelling time and fare.coz i don't drive

Sometimes it is better to find a reliable printer, at a convenient place. At the same time, look out for the "opportunity cost"..

I am contemplating among Hi-Tech (coz I stay at Bishan), sort of near...but at the same time thinking of The Wedding Giftshop coz I work at City Link

What do you all think?

hi bluur,

for reliability, i think acepro is reliable. i work till 6pm on wkdays, and most printers will close by then. acepro sometimes open till quite late say 8pm, so i can just go after work on wkdays.

acepro at macpherson, still quite near, take 90 fr toa payoh 15 mins journey.

hi gals,

By any chance do you know any printer company provide printer service on wedding cards(150 cards) designed by ourself (w/o inserts)? Very simple design only.

hi romona

don't know if you are still looking for a printer company, but if you are, try Haroobee. I just collected my invitation cards from them (also sort of self-designed) and was EXTREMELY pleased with the results. They will try to work within your budget.
