We bought from Venus Tears at JEM, about $2k. They have quite a good selection, though it's quite a new and unknown brand. Comes with lifetime free servicing, like resizing, polishing, replating.

in love with my ring from Venus Tears too, they carry jewelry from reputable brands in Japan.

And the service is so good! I was served by a Japanese lady. She even bowed us out of the shop haha. Needless to say, Japanese level of service. She smsed us to inform us when our rings reached japan, then again when it reached SG. Went to collect and she actually recognized us. Didn't even need to take out receipt she alr know which rings are ours. Super impressed!

I would say the designs are more unique and dainty. I like that they sell sets, so your engagement ring would match your wedding bands from the get go. My ring originally was yellow gold and white gold, no additional cost for me to change the yellow gold to rose gold.

I'm looking at wedding bands now, need to find something that can match with my engagement ring. Those sales staff keep recommending eternity ring (the thin one with diamonds in a row) to match but it just doesn't look nice to me lor.. Zzz.. Looking for a band that can compliment the solitaire nicely, something with a curve in the middle I suppose. Any suggestions? Saw a nice one at Love & Co but the htb couldn't find anything he liked there and it's not that cheap. $1.5k for the female's alone.

Hi there. When I was shopping for my wedding bands, a married friend who bought Love & Co wedding bands advice me not to get it as their rings tarnishes very very quickly into yellow gold (the base below the white gold). I saw her ring which was about less than 1year old, was already yellow at the bottom side (palm side).

Try checking out Sookee & LeeHwa?

Hi all, any recommendations on customised wedding bands? My engagement ring is a curve design (also customised) so I will need the wedding band to match it. Btw, I got it from JannPaul.

Y not go back to JannPaul for your customized wedding band too?

We bought our bands from Meyson too but yet to wear till AD.

HTB bought my engagement ring from there too, he claims he got it at a very good deal given the same specs when is compare to other retailer will cost 2-3x higher.

So far my engagement ring serve me well! No complaints and am very satisfied!

And I believe them that it will be cheaper as they dun do advertising since I'm from a retail marketing bkground!

hi BerryDreamy, are you able to comment on the quality of the bands? is it possible to take a snap of your rings?

indeed is really a lot cheaper, 2 to 3 times cheaper than retailers. hoping to have some good reviews on Meyson here. :)

have you book your banquet and PG, AV?

Am considering too cos if I want to resize both rings, they can do it for free also. Am still looking around for nice rings at other shops too, so keeping my options open.
I got both engagement ring and wedding bands from JP. They are able to customize the wb too. So far we are v satisfied.

Hi Sherlin, how much did your wedding bands from JP cost? The last time I went to see their ready made ones are $1k and above each.
Hi! Oh ours $2.5K after discount because I bargained haha. Mine has two rows of diamonds so more expensive. But I know they have less than $2K for a pair with diamonds too.

I got my wedding bands at Venus Tears too. Service is very good and I find their designs more unique as compared to Love Co, Lee Hwa etc. I saw some National Day sale when i collected my rings last saturday. By the way i have a $500 voucher from Venus Tears. Willing to let go at $400. The voucher can be used till 14 Sept. Email me at [email protected] if interested.

I'm confused ladies.. I went to the Venus Tears outlet at NEX and was surprised that it was a tiny booth with very limited items (like 6pairs of wedding band designs). Is there another branch with many more designs? As of now I'm leaning toward a very reasonably priced Lovis ring for myself, but the htb still hasn't found something he likes that would match my choice. Was very surprised at the range and unique designs that Lovis carries! Thanks so much for the recommendation! :D

Oh I went to the one at Jems. It isn't a huge boutique but definitely a proper shop. I think i saw majority of the collections featured on their fb page at Jems. I have not been to their other outlets so I can't really comment. We tried about 5-6 pairs and decided on the spot. Me and HTB have very different ring sizes so it was hard finding a pair which looks good on both of us. And I'm quite anal about getting rings of same designs.. i mean wedding bands should be a pair right? LOL..

NataDesCoco

New Member
Haha yes, that's what I feel too about getting the same design but it's not like I can force my htb to get a design that he doesn't like right? :(
Hmm I'll see if I can drop by Jems one day, thanks!

I just want to get the torn out from my heart from the disappointed on my recent purchase from Goldheart Celestial diamonds. Its a pendant with cluster of diamonds in the centre and surrounded by small diamonds. Since I paid for a celestial diamonds pendant, it should be 100% celestial diamond pendant but it is not. The centre is celestial and the surrounding diamonds are commercial diamonds. How can Goldheart mixed commercial diamonds with celestial diamond and display them in the Celestial glass show case. I realise the the difference when I took the scope to look at the diamonds. OMG...
I felt totally cheated by mere ignorant for what I see is not what I get.
So be careful all of you to check on your Celestial diamond items that your items could be a mixture of Celestial diamonds and commercial diamonds especially the eternity rings with small diamonds.
Iam now militating with Goldheart for refund but Goldheart integrity has been compromised.

Sorry to hear of your experience.

I myself prefer not to buy from commercialised jewellers as I am skeptical about their diamond quality. I read quite scary stories about how their diamonds drop and they refused to be responsible for it etc... Private jewellers are more flexible IMO.

Hello! Have you found your wedding bands?

My engagement ring is narrow towards the solitaire too and I find it hard to get a matching wedding band to stack with it :(

Hi dear! Yes I recently went back to JannPaul eventually to pick my wedding bands. My engagement ring is curved and thinned towards the diamond so I picked a infinity-shaped band to 'fill up' the gaps. Something like the image except mine is filled up diamonds.

It's gonna take 2 - 3 months to be ready so I'm pretty excited to collect it!

Congrats! Looks good!
Seems like it's the only design that cna match our engagement rings. I tried a similar infinity design band at Poh Heng over the weekend too, hahaha. But it wasn't the wedding band series.. Still looking around~

Care to share how much it cost at JannPaul?

Because we bought 3 rings (2 wedding bands for us, 1 white gold for himself) so total is $3+k. Avg about 1.1k per ring. Mine alone has 37 pieces of small diamonds so I found it quite affordable.

ohhh thanks!! :)

went cartier to view the love rings the other day and the sales person was telling my bf that it's one of the most popular series, many people bought this design for their wedding bands.
the htb commented directly, "oh wow! then wouldn't we be wearing wedding bands with many other people?"

Hahahaha wrong tactic used by the salesperson. Some people would go for popular designs while some will want unique.

Choose something that you like. Don't be influenced by peer pressure :)

Hubby bought a white gold with solitaire diamond ring for the proposal from Sookee. As for the wedding bands, we shopped in Malaysia (I'm Malaysian) and ended up buying a pair from SK for RM 3+K (i.e. about SGD 1+K). Mine is mainly white gold with a row of diamonds than run diagonally in the centre while the part of the ring where the diamonds are at is rose gold. Hubby's one is exactly the same except without the diamonds. We chose this pair coz it is a nice blend of white and rose gold and the placement of diamonds is unique plus it complemented my solitaire engagement ring well when I stack one above the other. And of course, the other reason was coz the price was a pretty good deal in our opinion. You can check out this photo of my wedding band stacked next to my engagement ring here:

Wow, really? We didn't pick out yellow gold rings for safety reasons - easily attracts more unwanted attention especially from potential snatch-thieves and robbers (especially since we visit Malaysia every now and then - safety in my country, sadly to say, isn't as great as Singapore's).. Anyway, here's a closer up shot of the rings (engagement ring stacked on top of wedding band) that I took just for you, hehe... Let me know if it's the same one you saw at SK... ;)

OMG. Yes that's the one. so coincidence! It's called momento series. but the one I liked was without the rose gold, the whole thing is white gold. Exactly the same design I liked! In SG, it costs $1.2k a pair after 20% discount, how much did you buy it for?

Hehe, we like the tinge of rose gold... Bought ours in Malaysia for RM 3+K (about SGD 1+K) - the one with rose gold is slightly more expensive than just the purely white gold one... No discount for ours as it was a brand new line of rings that just got marketed out at the time when we bought the rings... But haha, guess we both have the same taste in rings, hehe...
