Unpleasant experience with Intricked photography

Hello all!
please be careful when selecting your photographer for your actual day because I had some unpleasant experiences recently.

1) I was told that the original photographer (who is the owner) that I paid for is not available only on the evening 1 day BEFORE my actual wedding. He did not take initiative to contact me and inform that he broke his finger. He only told me when I told him the details of my location. It gave me no time to find alternative SO I have to accept whatever alternative photographer he gonna replace. He showed proof of xray with NO date/time and NO name.
2) I was promised to be compensated by reducing my processing time from 1-3 mths to 2 wks but I have to repeatedly chase him for the photos and updates. Only got it after 6 weeks.
3) Owner is totally not responsive on whatsapp. I contacted him 1 mth before my wedding to update some details but don’t receive his reply for wks. Yet he is very active on instagram posting heavily DISCOUNTED Photogrpahy package.
4) I wasn’t satisfied with the editing as we have agreed upon a certain style - it wasn’t delivered as promised.

Wedding is once in a lifetime experience and it can be very precious memories for many couples. I’m sharing this so that couples looking for any deals - must always do their research properly. Don’t just focus on the pricing only. This business tried to advertise their package at a very low price in market and it will definitely attract many couples.
 


I just transferred him money for my wedding AD and not receiving any response from him after. Do you have the contact number of the alternative photographer?

I have the same unpleasant experience with intricked as well! Owner is not responding to my multiple replies after I transferred him the entire amount for AD. He was responsive before I transfer him the money but totally ignored me after i paid him. Is this a scam? Have you guys gotten any reply yet?

At least you got your photos... It has been more than a few months for me and I have not yet gotten any photos or replies from the owner!

My make up artist actually just msged me and told me that her VG friend told her that he heard that Intricked open another company as he contacted his VG in the market that he has a new company. I’m trying to find out what’s his new company name and gonna post it here so that couples will be more wary.
I received several personal messages that couples getting MIA from him too.
Yes I considered myself lucky that at least I got back my photos.
I found his company address from googling - #09-339 s530326
 
same experience here... He MIA-ed after payment, and will only reply 3-4 days to one message, you have to keep chasing or calling. However, photo quality is pretty decent still. I think you can consider Intricked if you don't mind bad service + cheap price but relatively decent photos.
 
Can I check what is the photographer name ? It seems is abit worried he didn't reply. Any one of you until now didn't recieve the photos yet?

We also had a similar experience with Intricked/Tiger.

1. He went MIA shortly after we made the downpayment and remained largely unresponsive in the months and weeks leading to our wedding. We had to send multiple bumper messages/reminders on Whatsapp just to elicit a reply from him, with an average waiting time of 1-2 weeks each time.
2. We were also informed just one day before our wedding that he has something on and will not be available on the first day of our wedding ceremony. He neither offered an explanation nor an apology, just told us that he'd send a replacement photographer. No compensation was offered in our case. While it is written in the contract that "reasonable efforts will be made to substitute another competent photographer, in the event whereby “Intricked” is unable to make it on the actual day", an earlier heads up would have been appreciated. Having to re-convey the important details of our wedding to a replacement photographer - on the evening before our wedding - was very disruptive to our wedding preparation. Based on what others have shared above, it certainly seems like it's a recurring theme where he excuses himself last minute.
3. He turned up for the second day of our wedding ceremony, but left halfway without informing anyone. We only found out that he has once again gone MIA when our bridal party notified us that there has been a last minute change in the photographer (again) - just minutes before our march in.
4. After the wedding ceremony, we sent multiple messages to Tiger in the subsequent months to follow up on the status of the photos, all of which he completely ignored. We eventually received the photos about 3 months later. We don't take an issue with the waiting time since it was already written in the letter of agreement that the editing would take up to 3 months, but would appreciate some form of update or the basic decency to reply to our texts in the interim.
5. Unsurprisingly at this point, neither the photos nor the editing turned out satisfactory. We ended up having to re-edit the photos ourselves, but only a minority were salvageable. Pictures from our tea ceremony were taken where many of our relatives' faces could not be seen, and many of our most memorable moments from the solemnisation and banquet were missed.

If you're already feeling stressed from the other parts of wedding planning, the uncertainties/insecurities that come along with engaging this photographer's service will make it far worse. While it is true that this company's pricing is comparatively cheaper than the industrial norm, we'd argue that the service rendered is still not worth the money.

Hoping to share our experience here so that others can make a more informed decision.

the price is not cheap...

My pre-wed photography package is cheaper and better service...makes me regret changing now...
 
Hi all. I want to caution anyone thinking of hiring Intricked/Tiger. He is irresponsible, unprofessional and a scammer.

1. I signed up for a wedding package with him due to the initial pleasant conversation and reasonable package. I even sign up for an afternoon family shoot.
2. He advised that for the family shoot, everyone should wear the same colours. It was a big family shoot and not everyone turned up as brief, which you may come to expect as a photographer that not everything is perfect. I called him and text him in the morning to let him know, but he did not respond. He called me 1.5 hours before the family shoot, for him to tell me he is NOT turning up because we did not stick to the brief and he was unable to take nice photos. I was SHOCKED. I told him that my family members flew from other countries, and then we didn't need photos to be perfect.Tiger refused. We never managed to take a family shoot because of his selfishness and incompetence- it wasn't easy for everyone to fly down and gather in one place. In fact, when i spoke to another photographer contact, he told me that a GOOD photographer could have made it work.
3. He said he will refund me the family shoot. Fine. But due to this, I told him i dont want him as my wedding photographer anymore. He said deposits are none refundable and instead, I can turn the deposits into 3 other family shoots. This left such a sour taste in my mouth as the intended family shoot was already such a disaster, but I said fine anyway since he was being extremely difficult about the refund.
4. I organised one family shoot and it took weeks to organise as he wouldnt respond to me. That finally took place, and the results werent very good. It was overly posed, and we had to give him suggestions on how to make it more natural.
5. I tried to organise the other 2 photoshoots (which he gave me a deadline to use it by). He NEVER responded despite me contacting him for weeks and months. I even got other people to contact him regarding this but no reply. These shoots never happened.

Please DO NOT engage him!

Hi all, police report has been made and the police has referred this case to the scam team. The policeman urged us to all report him to expedite the request. Below is the police reference number you guys can add on: J/20250629/7006

TDLR: the reason why I have reported him because he kept mentioning for us to make a police report on him and he said to me something along the line that I am stupid to be scammed by him
 
Hi all,

I had my actual day photography done by Tiger and felt that apart from his slow replies, the rest were all okay. I had to find a mutual friend to look for him and even his friends said that he does not reply them as often. At first i was skeptical but he did follow up on my wedding plans and he showed up for my wedding and i would say he did a decent job. He was friendly and kept reminding us to smile. I can see he tried his best to make us relaxed and happy on the wedding day.

I believe most of us here also engaged him due to his good to acceptable photos and LOW PRICE compared to others. I would like to say that we cannot expect restaurant service from kopitiam price. I felt that his work is not the best but at least i felt that he is not the worse. But he could be more proactive in his replies to give assurance to his couples. I mean if he was that bad, no one would look for him.

IDK about you guys but at least my photos came back within 2-3 months and photos were good.

Wow that's his response? He is truly the most unprofessional. I'll make a police report too.
 
Pls report this scammer he is from rp and he made my mom and dads wedding pics so ugly. My dad said he abit sot sot one and keep showing off his supposed skills in wedding photography but ill let the other comments be the judge of that...
 
To add on to this thread, just had my wedding day shots taken by Tiger and i received less than 300 photos for a 9 hrs service. When we did the 1st march-in, there were only 5 photos taken? I am not sure what is the norm in the industry on the number of edited photos return, but this is quite disappointing. For us, there were also MIA moments, irresponsible responses like he is in a hospital and yet he can post tiktok videos. He had another cousin/friend called Javier who has the same characteristic as him.

Planning a wedding is already stressful enough, so please avoid them at all costs if you do not want to further add on to your stress level.

Some things i learnt:
1) Always google the photographer name and phone number first
2) Cheap doesn't mean good, tbh their service is not the cheapest in the market but i was drawn to their IG post where i saw a few nice shots taken
3) If they are heavily promoting their page, it is quite sus
4) It is better to engage someone your friend/family had interaction with before
5) Please do meet up or at least video call the photographer before transferring any deposit to them. You need to vibe or have some positive interactions before engaging them (this is really important)
6) Have a backup photographer, it can be your groomsmen or just a friend. Prepare a camera (don't have to be dslr) or just a phone. You never know what happens on the day itself.
