Solemnisation at Amara Swimming Pool

I will share my sugar alomond here. The Wedding flavor I did it myself. I bought the Sugar almond from Candy Empire - Millium walk and Vivo have it. It about $3.20/100g. I spent ab $13 for 30 pax. The organza bag I bought it from a seller. Here is her website - http://www.isaboutwedding.com

She a very nice lady. I bought the smaller bag just nice. Inside also contain a small "Thank You" card which is done by us also. Even the inviting card also done by us.

Hi all Amara brides,

Hi, for my rom, the weather is quite windy. I took the lunch package so my solemnisation is at 11am. my guests said very nice weather. All of them said they were very impressed with my rom arrangement, they said its a very romantic and cosy affair:P

Hi ladies,

Anyone here can share the pics for Solemnisation @ Amara? Im looking for a place for Solemnisation with hi-tea for 120 pax. This will serve as my actual wedding as well. Not sure if Amara can provide a good package on this.

Thanks!

hi christy, if its 12 tables then u got to use their function room. You can view my rom pics at their poolside garden. Perhaps u might want to hold your rom at the poolside garden then proceed to the function room for hi-tea.

Hi Nitestarz,

Thank you for sharing your photos with us. Amara was also one of the option that we have for our ROM.

How was the food?? You had lunch right??

Hi Nitestarz,

Thanks for sharing. Your photos are well taken, very nice. BTW, who is your photographer?

I like the solemnisation area. Yup, function room will be better as we will have tea ceremony as well. This will be our actual day wedding.

Will be meeting Patricia this Sat to view the place.

Hi Lisa, I love the variety of food there. My guests commented that the food was nice, but they did comment that they dun like the fish, perhaps u can change that dish to another one. Everyone thought I paid a bomb for this solemnisation cos everything was very well coordinated but in fact I didn't.

Hi Christy, my photographer is Yew Kwang. You can find him in the photography forum. He is very good. I love his style and most importantly he made an effort to design every single the photo eventhough its only rom photos. And it is definitely within budget. You will take the package immediately if u like his works. Highly recommended!

Hi nitestarz, I'm also thinking of engaging Yew Kwang.
May I know which package you took?
I'm thinking to take the lowest ROM package.
Hope it's good enough

hi crescent, u look so sweet in the pics! I love those balloons. Where did u get them?

Hi Wanqing, I took the lowest ROM package. Good enough. You will receive a very nice hard cover album. All my friends thought I paid 1k+ for the photos after they seen the album. You got to book him fast:P Think I sound like I am promoting him, oops:P

Thanks crescent. I like your dress too.
Can share where you got it from? Is it mtm?
Price if not convenient can just let me know the price range cuz if too ex then I prob won't go there
happy.gif

hi Wanqing, the dress is rented from my BS... it's OTR..

the price is quite reasonable.... but if u sign up a AD with them oso, then the ROM will be much cheaper... u can just call Terry & ask him

Hi crescent, thanks for sharing your photos.. u had a lovely solemnisation..
happy.gif

notice that you had polariad pictures.. did u buy the camera urself or wat? How much is it? Coz i also intend to get something like that for guest book.

hi Shice,

hehe...thanks!
yup, got the polariod cam myself... we got it from cash converter for $5 only.... the polariods can get from fujifilm, kodak... i think cost ard $10 - $15 for 10 pieces..

Hi crescent, thanks. I got the quote from Terry already. His rates really affordable.
Am considering him and another 2 PG.
So many good ones ard. So difficult to make a choice.

hi everyone,

we're considering amara hotel for our solemnization.. is there anything that we can try to bargain with the coordinator beside the standard package?

any idea whether they give a day use room or just the suite that come with the package? what time can we check in the suite?

do they allow us to choose the colour theme? do they offer any reception desk and guestbook? any ideas how much will be spent on the flower decor?

sorry for asking so much qns.. = )

Hi ebearz,

I have just signed up with them for my solemnization too. I understand from Patrica that we would be able to check in two hours before the ceremoney. For example it would be 9am if you are having lunch solemnization. As for the room, I have forgotten to ask. haha was happy that I could choose Amara.

Yes they do offer a reception table. You may try asking for the guest book but I intend to get my own guest book.

The colour theme that i have seen is white and blue. However they would allow you to choose the colour of the flowers. If I am not wrong, the flower decor is inclusive. Do correct me if I am wrong.

I am not sure what other things we can bargain from the coordinator. I did ask for more carpark cupons though and she was willing to give me.

I hope that answer some of the questions that you have.

hi Lisa,

thanx for your info.. =) it really helps..

but the other day when we ask patricia, she told us the package only includes the petals on the floor.. others are not inclusive.. she even mentioned that the colour theme is white and orange (if i didn't rem wrongly), which is their standard package.. other colour theme has to be arranged through their florist, which is chargable..

btw, how many carpark coupons she offer you? she offered us 5+1(for VIP lot outside)..

Hi ebearz,

Oh? The package only include the petals on the floor?? Some of the photos that she showed me indicated that the reception table would have a bouquet of flowers. Then the chairs along the aisle would have a stalk of flower. I thought that its inclusive. Ok I will need to ask her that then.

She offered us the same but told us we can ask her if we really need more.

Hi Lisa

I am having my ROM at amara there soon. (hope it doesn't rain on that day...)
FYI, the petals on the floor and chairs having the stalk of flower are chargeable. we paid $350 more to have

-organza wrapped around the pillars of the pavillion with fresh flowers
-fresh flowers on the chairs in the pavillion
-stalks of flowers on the guests chairs
-flowers petals on the floor

This $350 is paid directly to their florist and not Amara hotel.

My coordinator is Michelle, I find her responsive and very enthuiastic

Thumbs up to her

Hi DeSign,

Thanks for the information. So that means to say that if i want the flowers on the floor and chairs having stalk of flowers we would have to pay? So in order to have what you have mentioned I would have to pay %350 more?

Oh dear, Patrica did not inform me of all these things....

Yes,,unless you have yourself a special deal which I didn't get...
basic floral decorations would e included in the $999 package. but the particular items that I mentioned need to pay extea(thats what they told me)

In fact, they have pictures of the place with and without the extra decorations.after seeing the difference then I opted for the extra decor

Hi Amy

I saw the pictures when I met up with the coordinator at Amara hotel itself. It was hardcopy in a photo album, i dun have any digital pics. sorry

I think the pavilion area will be decorated with silk flowers (they recycle it). My package is $1199 for tea. Forgot to ask if guest book included. Michelle did briefly mention included but we forgot to ask Pat when signing up with her.
Anyone did champagne pouring? Not sure if I should do it. Forgot to ask when signing the contract. Not sure if got extra charges.

DeSign: Your package is $999? Did you sign up long ago? From what I understand, March is already $1199 for tea package.

Hi Wanqing,

Patrica did show me some photos of champagne pouring. But that was for dinner. She mentioned that usually she does not encourage alcholic drinks other then in the evening as the guest might feel warm. So she does not encourage us to do it as I am having high tea too.

Hi Wanqing

For my package guest book is included, just confirm again with Pat it should be.

I signed my package some time back..if i remember correctly is in Jan.

hi design, congrats!! the sun looks hot.. u had hi-tea izzt? or lunch solemnisation? btw the decor were part of the pkg rite?

u rom-ed yesterday?

Congrats Design,

The place looks very very nice. Thank you for sharing with us the photos. I might consider asking FH to get the things that you have gotten too. Hehhe....

Hi Shice

Yeah it was scorching that day. Mine was Hi Tea recep ..started ard 2pm. I was there from 11am.
I can say that 11-12.30 would be the best time. The pavillion area is shaded due to the sun being blocked by the hotel building itself. If i known this earlier maybbe i would have gone for lunch buffet instead.. oh well..nvm
happy.gif

Some decor was part of the package some were not..like i mentioned earlier
we paid $350 more to have
-organza wrapped around the pillars of the pavillion with fresh flowers
-fresh flowers on the chairs in the pavillion
-stalks of flowers on the guests chairs
-flowers petals on the floor

Hope this helps
