Cos I heard someone who just put "Amara" had to amend it to A Hotel. But I've submitted Amara Poolside garden...
Wondering if need to change too.

Do you have the sequence of proceedings for your ROM to share?
 
Hi, my photographer is Yew Kwang. My package is the lunch one. starts at 11am but my guests all came around 10.30am... mingle around and have some sparking wine. Not hot at all, cooling and windy cos its december. I dun have the sequence, basically u need to liaise with the JP, he is the one who will affect ur sequence. One thing to note, come out with a list on who is supposed to sit at which table so that your guests will have a place to go to if they choose not to stand around. Hope that helps:P

hi elyn, thanks for your compliment. I set up the site myself. After much scouting, I decided to use this website to upload our photos. Its personalised, free and the interface is very very nice.:P
 
I done my invitation card by ourself... my hubby is a graphic designer, so he do the design and i find the paper... anyone who is interested to see our DIY card pls let us know... we also help ppl to do the card...

did my rom at amara in dec.. i was lucky that it wasn't raining that day. had about 50 guests..and i took the 6 to 9pm slot..though it was slightly delayed..heh

as for the CBD issue, think it was still fine cos' my guests were all punctual.. the staff were really nice and helpful and my co-ordinator was Rayston.nice chap

I am having my ROM at arama this sunday. Can I ask you ladies do they provide you with MC and rose petal for guest to throw at the couple?

I dun thk there's Eecee but my coord called me last few days to confirm pax & ask what color of petals for the floor decor. She said she can supplied but not a lot. Anyway, I will be gg to buy small roses for my hairdo, so will buy a whole bunch of roses.
 
mine's 24th this month! So excited & have been preparing for it. Cos it's such a pretty place, so i want to make the best of it. I made wrist corsages, flower basket & head band for my flower ger. I've arranged for a march in session....

Hello can i ask did anybody prepare wedding favours for your guests? I'm cracking my brain wat to get or is it necessary? Any ideas where can we get cheap and nice wedding favours?
 
I DIY my wedding favours, below is the pic of it. All items used cost less then $40 for 35 guests icluding the helpers, my photographer & make-up artist. Inside is sugar almond where most western couple used for their wedding. The card I make it myself.

It's like a mini banquet, but with more of your touch. You might want include a march in, so get the little ones ready, borrow or buy clothes that match the theme. Put more emphasis on the ring pillow & rings, cos those'll be the focus. Actually it's simpler & less hectic that the main banquet, I think...
 
paulinena, me and my fh did some site visiting at several hotels last fri for our ROM venue and amara was one of them.
There's no doubt dat the poolside is nice, package is ok...BUT i tot the wedding planner whom we met up wif cud hv done a better job wif a tad more enthusiasm! As the usual saying "First impression counts"...wif dat kind of "enthusiasm" in securing this deal...no matter how value-4-$ the package is, i cud anticipate the kind of help extended by this wedding planner when our ROM approaches.

firstly, the wedding planner. Din bother to offer much info on own initiative...had to keep probing to get the info dat is crucial. Doesn't appear to be very keen wif our biz.
secondly, this hotel is rigid wif their deposit thingy. if for some reason the rom date changes, deposit forfeited. a new deposit is required for the new date!
thirdly, their current ROM package price will b INCREASING. new package is ready but yet to release for some reason...may b out nex wk, nex mth...wedding planer's lips r tight. but price confirm INCREASE. (Is it bcos they noe dat their packages r popular??)

subsequently we visited a hotel dat has MORE stars than Am***, no airs! And u need not guess..they got our biz!

P.S. how abt ur wedding planner?

Cause they overcharge me, luckily, my hub saw it. then demand for re-fund but they reject lor!They refund in term of voucher. we had to accept it lor!
 
My solemisation at Amara was smooth, except sun was too hot....the staff in charge was very responsive, esp when I was required to stand & sit during the ceremony, he pull/push my chair such that I do not need to turn back & move it & can treat it as "automatic"! Good service. What I was not too glad was the drinks were not actively served & the coffee & Tea did not turn up till we requested.
 
i actually only have the choice 4 the color of the rose petals scattered on the floor. Which my coordinator says red are nicer.
the rest are common to all ROM. But i find them all very nice!
 
Its the $999 for 30pax package... A bit pricey for Hi T but with the room(1N stay) & decor & area for hosting, it's worth it. But guest would complain of the sun & heat....
 
its still 999net? i heard that price will be increasing?
im thinking of getting dinner package..
Does anybody knows how much will it be?
