Solemnisation at a Pub - Is it proper???

Hi All,

I and my bf will be having our ROM soon, coz we had just bought a house and going under process. As we need to fork out some cash for the deposit for the house therefore we would like to budget our ROM solemnisation. My bf suggest that we have our solemnisation held at a Pub (where we know each other), it is my relative's pub.
But i wonder is it proper or abit odd anot, as i nvr heard any one held ROM at a Pub before. And as i know there isn't any proper tables and chairs. and will the JP fine with the venue?

Pls advise me.... I'm headache...

hi theresa, i think nowadays ppl are trying to outdo each other by hvg their ROM at the most unique and not-yet-done-before venues.. so i dun think theres anything wrong abt holding ur ROM in a pub.. (unless there are very violent objections from both parents..)

can always rent tables n chairs... jz have one of those buffet thingy... not everyone hv to sit down mah...

also if u provide an address to the JP, pretty sure he/she will be able to find it.. if not, then jz get one of ur frens to pick him/her up?

i say go for it! especially since its a special place for u since u guys met at tt pub..

well, tks gals for the support. i am not very gd with the deco parts, where can i rent tables and chairs, any contacts?

Theresa> Is there any table & chairs in the pub itself? If there is I think you can still use those tables & chair so you can save some cost. As for the deco part you can get a florist to help you. hi Theresa....i think is ok to have your solemnisation at a pub..nothing wrong at all... i am holding my solemnisation at Dallas. maybe u can consider//the decor is in fuschia pink and black..quite nice
