Soleminzer (JP) for 2016 Brides

hello all!

i'm looking for a JP for my Sep wedding, hopefully with the following criteria:
- no religious preaching
- short and sweet
- friendly, amicable and courteous

any recommendations? :)

Funny thing is, my HTB started to be gancheong after we got rejected by a few JPs, so he told me to contact a few at the same time instead of doing 1 by 1. So yesterday I contacted 7, 1 say not free, 2 say to contact them again next year, and 3 of them (including lim tze beng) say they are free and okay! now I have to reject the other 2, feel so bad. So maybe still better to search 1 by 1, seems like as long as you dont contact those popular one, they should be available~

Will write another post below about all the JPs I contact, for other BTB reference

Hi ladies, I'm a May'16 bride and still have not found my JP. Need someone who keeps the ROM short & sweet. Anyone to recommend?
I contacted about 7 and all not free :(

Joanna Portilla
Lau Tat Chuan
Leo Tan Wee Hin
Lim Tze Beng (young JP)
Peter Lee
Simon Sim (Christian, but can do secular solemnization)
Teo Chong Tee (I chose him cos he long winded. Might not be your cup of tea lol)
Zenon Teh
Phang Tai Heng

I'm not sure about your criteria, so I'm just throwing out all the names I have in my list! Hope this helps!

He will let you know in his email. For mine, he told me that as its more than 3 months away (and my venue is not confirmed), he will block out the timing for me first aka soft-book. He told me to stay in contact and update him when my venue is confirmed, then he will go thru the procedure I should take.

oh no! he didnt reply my email therefore i wont know if he confirm his booking or..

btw when is your last email to him?

Please make sure you get a reply from him as to whether he accept or reject you. Just follow up with him "hi mr xx, I've sent you an email inviting you to be my JP on date, time. May I kindly ask if you would be available?"

Mind replied within a day.

Different JPs work differently. So you can ask him how the procedure would be like when he says yes. Some JPs would meet up w the couple before they file for marriage, some do it over email.

Hi Emily,

I almost got him as my JP as well, but was warned by another bride 1 month before my big date.
P/S: I got him to sign the consent form 3 weeks before my big day.
I went ahead to tell him my concerns and how I wanted it to be but he want it to go by his way and i decided to change my JP 2 weeks before my big day.
Luckily, no regrets on changing my JP.

I highly recommend Mr William Cheong!
He is very friendly and nice. The ceremony was simple and sweet.
I had my ROM just yesterday and even though one of my witness was late,
He patiently waited and even volunteered to keep my guests entertained.
In addition, he even gave us a small gift :)
