Sky lanterns

Hi ladies,
I live in The Netherlands (Europe) but will be getting married in Singapore in April 2014. I've enquired about the possibilities to have sky lanterns released into the sky and have been informed that it's not allowed when the sky lanterns have a flame. Apparently, it is allowed if they have helium. Does anybody know of a supplier in Singapore that has helium sky lanterns? Or balloons that look like sky lanterns?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Nadia,

You can actually still release the sky lantern if you tie them up so that they dun fly off far. I know it may sound like a turn off, but you may tie a longer string/rope to it so that it is able to fly higher. And also from our experience, sky lanterns tend to ascend pretty quickly. Thus if you are looking to take a nice wedding picture with them, it may be a challenge, however, if they are tied up, it will make it easier. Hope that is helpful.

Do feel free to drop me a mail if you need any assistance in your wedding preparations here. I will be more than glad to be of help. Congratulations on your engagement. =)
