wah super leh u, tennis coach oredi ah? can coach me or not? hehee... im now trying to pick up tennis at such a grand old age and enjoying the sport tremendously! i even took some learn-to-play course at one of the CCs to learn some fundamentals but those course a bit 'pian jiak' one lah, teach u little bit and that's it... haiz... hee...

wow im sure ur PS and AD photos look gorgeous!!! im sure minda did a great job for u!!! can briefly describe ur WG and EG? is it the grand grand type or the sweet look? i'll need to meet up with miah soon to discuss gown designs, and dunno why i feel a bit worried - cos i hv no idea what i want in a WG and EG! ;p

new zealand will be such a beautiful place for ur honeymoon!!! scenic and lots of chances to do certain stuff like hot-air ballooning, white-water rafting and the likes!

for me, i've got so many places i wanna visit but we shld be heading for (ok get this) nepal for our honeymoon! hee.. we've always wanted to go trekking in nepal but a trek usu. takes at least 3 weeks and we hvnt been able to take leave from our work for such an extended period of time.. so now that it's our honeymoon and we hv time on our hands, we figured might as well do it - before the first kid comes along too! ;p

hey rokko, u still have some time to think abt what u really want for both WG & EG! did u flip thru lots of bridal mags? u're be surprise that u can actually get good ideas from there! At least it did helped mi! For my WG, it's an ivory busier "can can" sort of WG so quite a grand type of wedding dress! Chose that cos need to bring out some "flesh" in mi (i'm on thin side) & I guess it worked!

) My EG is an apple-green halterneck, slim-cut with a slit in front of e dress. hehe..sounds abit sexy, initially 'pai seh" to wear but then, hey it did looked great! Hmm.. what colour have u considered for EG? try not to carry off dark colour EG, otherwise u might not stand out among the guests cos i believe most ppl might be wearing black! so thru this festive season, do some "homework" yah.. I'm sure u'll eventually find a design u love

yeah, agree with u on e part abt better go travel around more b4 a junior comes along! hehe.. wow, trekking in Nepal sounds so adventurous! u're making mi envious.. for mi, i dun have that many leave so guess have to settle for a 10 to 14 days vacation lah.. can't wait to fly off soon!

yes! Kuang is a lovely man and his pictures are lovely too..do consider? Kuang just doesnt do posed shots (ie family photos etc so may be a bit in convenient?) no table shots during dinner too also..i dont mind all those restrictions and really like his work so my hubby and me didnt hesitate to sign him up

Chi Kuang is a very good photographer. Your wedding coverage is in VERY good hands if you engage his services. I know his services come with a price... but all good things dont come cheap lor unfortunately...

He doesnt do table shots coz he's an artist in his own right and if you want TRUE journalistic photographs then its abit hard to switch the frame of mind between the two. I hope you understand what I mean... I'm sure he has already told it to you already also

Have you asked Chi Kuang to "choop" the date for you first or not? He's quite popular so his calendar gets filled up really quickly.

I know he's not availble on many of the weekend for next year already... Chi Kuang's condition are that he doesnt do table shots lor but if you have a friend or a cousin that is not too bad a photographer, ask him to do it and your problem is solved coz table shots are really eazy to do

Hi Jeanz, like u n ur FH, my FH loves penta works as well.. We do have a cousin who will help with photography on tat day. He is going to do table shots for us most likely. Currently is just the cost factor tat FH is deciding.

met kuang already and i think he's quite a nice guy, so yeah. no question about his work and how suberb about it. eyeballs nearly drop when i saw the pricelist... if my dad print $, would've signed him rightaway.

wow, now that we're into year 2005, it'll be a busy busy year of wedding preps for all of us, but here's hoping that we will all enjoy the wedding preps and the actual day of cos!!!

yah this thread usu. v noisy one, like wat blush says, but it's been rather quiet these days.... personally i've been logging less into this forum, and been rather reflective these days partly becos of the recent tsunami crisis - i was only in krabi holidaying a week before the tsunami waves came, and was also at phi phi islands diving there, cant help but feel v blessed - individually and even as a nation to have been shielded from harm, yet im left wondering about the fates of those thai people who have been so hospitable to us during our stay there...

opps sorry for being so contemplative... it's just such mixed feelings i have in me right now... but definitely, carpe diem - seize the day, everyone, live everyday to its fullest!

marilyn: hey when i first signed up with miah i was also wondering whether he wld call me for designing or whether i shld... hehee... i think im going to be calling him sometime this mth of jan to start my designing sessions.. u having PS? then must start early so that ur gowns can be ready 3 mths before sep - which means by june right? must work out a timeline with heath

J Tan, yes we signed up with kuang - my FH was initially against the idea of engaging professional photographers for AD, saying that "just get a fren or cousin will do", and i was like "huh how can?"... but as we went thru different photographers' portfolio he was gradually being convinced becos there are just so many gd photographers out there... but i think kuang's photos did it for him - the moment he saw kuang's album in sil (while waiting for me in the fitting room), he was willing to engage him no matter the cost! heh

hmmm kuang's costly but i believe he can customise a package according to ur needs and budget, and it's impt to engage a good AD photographer that can capture the emotions and moments of the day. someone in the forum (in another thread) said this which i do agree - PS shots can always be retaken if u're not happy with the shots, but u cant do the same for AD - the moments are fleeting and it's once in a lifetime, so all the more impt to engage a gd photographer who can capture those fleeting moments!

and like wat jeanz says, he's not too inclined to do table-to-table shots... for us we kinda circumvented the problem by engaging him plus his assistant photographer, which we had to add $600 more for his assistant who will help us do table shots where necessary

thanks for sharing your thots. personally, i hate the table shots. i mean like i couldn't care less about these since half the pple at the wedding i dont know. this is the lunch lah. i have a lunch for pple i dont want to, but have to invite. and a dinner for all my close frens. but then i told my hubby he's like "huh, how can invite pple and dont take foto with them?" aiya

but those table shots are static anyways lah. anyone can take. so i will get someone to do i think.

oh yah, will be going down to silhouette next sat. TO SIGN. dont tell heath hor. must bargain abit. actually is their price quite negotiable or not? my colleague had heath and she said he's quite chin chai so must bargain. how ah? ADVICE GIRLS?!?!

winterwhite, hey im not sure abt ROM package altho' i know sil has a line called charmuse which cld be more suitable for ROM - best if you call them to check. The good thing about sil is that they're flexible about their packages, tell them what you need and the budget you're working within and they'll tailor the package according to your needs... a rough gauge wld be about $4k for MTM WG (rent), MTM EG (keep), men's suit, flowers, car decor, makeup

facials are not so high priority, thinking of taking a short trip with my maid-of-honour just a month or two b4 the wedding (on FH's bill) to Bali for some R & R and spa..so hopefully that will make up for the lack of constant maintenance..ahahhaaaaaa..
