Glamourous, I was quoted around 4.9K for OTR WG (Tulle with embroidery) & MTM EG, MTM Suit, AD makeup (day & night), 1 bouquet, car flower. Quite basic.

hi glamourous,
my gown is a tulle gown...
my tulle gown is OTR but EG is MTM

paulyn,
the MTM gowns to be kept are only the EG....for WG, even though they are MTM, usually they are not for keeps.

Hi Jac,

I've seen their gowns... is yours a OTR or MTM?
Those sort that is in tuelle, with big long train?

Hi Only (justea),
Do you mind sharing the pictures with me as well? I am also quite keen in Sil but need to see their designs. Meet up with Caroline before but at that moment, they did not have a lot of designs for their OTR. My email is [email protected]. Thanks

Hi Jasmine,

I also have a similar package to you.
But MTM WG, MTM EG (basic design, if more elaborate need further top ups), MTM Suit, AD Makeup (Trial, Day and Night), Flowers (Bouquet and Car deco).

I was quoted $5,500.

If I dont want makeup, minus $300.
If dont want flowers, minus $150.

Is this the usual package?

Hi Glamourous,

The package you had is pretty similar to mine but I was quoted 4900 or so. How is the MTM WG you wanted like? The 4900 I was quoted was a bustier gown with some embellishements on the bodice and tulle bottom with silver embroidery on the train.

I did not try any evening gown so I don't know what constitutes the basic design.

End up I did not sign up with Silhouette cos I decided to go with something more classic which my HTB preferred too. But I still think Silhoutte tulle gowns are really very princessy and dreamy. If only I can afford to make 2 wedding gowns :p

Hi Jasmine,

Oh! I tot U've signed up with Sil already!
Im still contemplating to do so.... seems that their package almost similar pricing to even bridals like Ted Wu (in fact seems higher too!)

I think mine will be long tuelle train with details, not embroderies though. as to exact details, not sure yet. I also heard the EG is of basic/ simple design. For more elaborate designs, additional top ups are required.

both are mtm... so cant really try any EG too.

what made u gave up Sil in the end?
who have u signed up with?

Glamourous,
for their EG, usually the blings are not all over the gown....they'll be on the gown in selected areas eg bust, neckline etc.....so normally, there is no topup required for their EG. If you are concerned abt top-ups then discuss the design with the designer, and they'll let u know if any top-ups are required.....there are OTR EG which you can try.....though i suspect the very nice ones are taken already since their wedding show.

Hi gals, i'm contemplating silh too. I was attended to by Kenji. I like their service and the gowns. I'm planning to go ala carte so Silh suits me perfectly. does the price for OTR depends on the type of gowns we choose, or is it a flat rate?

Glamourous, I gave up Silhouette cos much as I like the dreamy princessy look of tulle gowns, I also love classic silk duchess satin gowns in clean classic designs. I was very torn between the two looks for quite a while.

My HTB preferred me in the latter so end up decided to give up Silhouette cos I find that the other bridal boutique I chose specialise more in duchess satin, classic-looking gowns. Do not want to mention which bridal cos this is afterall the Silhouette thread.

But what I feel is Silhouette does the best tulle gowns and if tulle gowns is the look you desire, then go with Silhoutte, I have tried tulle gowns elsewhere and it just don't look as good as Silhoutte's tulle gowns.

Hi Sil BTB,

Im just wondering does the full package cost includes dry cleaning when we take the gowns out for Pre Wedding shoots?

Also, are the cost for deducting MUA, flowers and suit standardised rate?
seems to me that it varies from designers?

Note I actually paid 3.8k and did not get MTM EG. My rates for deducting make up is the same as yours. Flowers need to check.

I'm still thinking if I should engage Gin as my MUA. I'm going for a simple natural makeup, and there are no pics/ portfolio so not sure if suitable
sad.gif
Any brides used Gin for natural make up before? Can share your Multiply account?

Also, what are the early rates and extras that Gin will charge?

Many thanks!

Hi Jac, my gown is OTR sweetheart neckline with huge train in duchess satin. I have not managed to talk to Gin cos I haven't confirmed yet. I checked with Caroline and she said there is only early morning charge of $100 if it is before 7 am. No ampoules will be used, so no additional charge too.

How was your experience with Gin?

I saw your makeup. Very nice... I think I made up my mind

chewiegranolabar,
wow, your gown sounds lovely!
happy.gif

Caroline's info is all you need then....I trust Caroline a great deal! yes, there is no additional charge with silh's MUAs....no ampoules used...and they don't charge for the fake eyelashes....

I enjoy having Gin as my MUA....she is quite good and friendly. You like my makeup?? cos my makeup is not considered very natural, you want very natural makeup? i had wanted natural makeup too but i realise sometimes, too natural makeup doesn't show up nicely on photos (for photoshoot)... are you having photoshoot?

I actually wanted the sweet radiant look. But Gin said to look good in the photos, she has to apply dark eyeliner to open up my eyes...so can't do the bright eyeshadow...but if i dun mind compromising on how i look in the photos, then she would do for me....in the end, i just listened to her and the photos turned out quite nicely.
think Gin is good cos she will listen to what you want and then see if your ideas will make you look pretty....and her hairstyling is nice too!

so have u decided on Gin?

Hi Jac, yes I decided. Will call Caroline tomorrow to BOOK, CHOP, CONFIRM
happy.gif
Somemore I will ask Gin to come at 7 am so I don't need to top up. Hahaha!

Yes I like your makeup and hairdo (esp the EG one). I thought it is quite natural already. I guess we are in good hands. I'm easy... she can do whatever she wants to me as long as it is not too overboard. I don't have many ideas la. I don't really browse a lot of bride magazines etc.

By the way, my gown is 1060151 and 152 in your album. It looks like mine... Caroline said mine is from Lovely collection. I'm not lacing up the back though. Prefer the zip and scalloped look.

Thanks for sharing your pics. Your pics and midas pics help me decide that Gin is the right one for me.

Glamourous, yes that is what I got, as well as MTM men's suit which I'm taking out.

Hi Chewiegranola,

Oh, I thought your package includes the MTM suit as well! to take out the MTM suit, how much will they deduct? and u still end up paying same amount of $3,800 without suit?

Hi Jac & Midas,

Do you mind sharing your pictures with me too? I am also contemplating whether to use their MUA or source externally.... my email is at [email protected].
Thanks so much ladies!

Hi Chewie,

Do you mind sharing with me the charges for the deductions from your package? I just wanted to find out whether the charges for common things like flowers, mua, suit varies across couples/ designers....

coz these are common items, shouldnt have variances. For gowns, perhaps I can understand the difference in charges across difference in designs, how elaborate the gowns are etc.

My deductions are as follows if I opt out:
MAKE UP - LESS $300
MAN SUIT - LESS $300
FLOWERS - LESS $150?

peace_lover,

Hi Midas, I tried their OTR before. But during the time when I went, not much designs. I ok with either OTR or MTM. Most impt is the designs. Anyway OTR or MTM prices not much difference also. Just need to top up a few hundreds to get MTM.

Hi, i want to thank Silhouette for making my dream wedding on 29th sept 08 more special, cos of the beautiful tulle WG (OTR) and the EG (MTM) that Kenji did do for me.

All my guests fave how beautiful and gorgeous i m in the gowns, and it really fits so nicely on me...(of course they don't know how many times Silhouette alter for me.. haha..!)

Even in the 2nd march in wearing the evening gown, my friend told me she can heard the tables guests ard her saying that my red EG is really very nice on me as i match in. As i go to the tables...my lady colleagues tell me the red EG is really v pretty! they even tell one of the girl if she get marry next time, choose red!

All my company ppl keep telling me the same thing abt my gowns, after i am back to office from honeymoon.

Silhouette gowns indeed make my wedding meomerable.

Thanks silhouette..! and they give excellent service! :D

i really can't help keep praising them.....in my personal opinion (noted, personal opinion only), i think silhouette is one of the few bridal shops that provide the most beautiful and best gowns in Spore..

Hi Ginger,

To my understanding, Beautiful range gowns are more elaborate and more expensive range than Lovely range....

How's your tuelle gown like?
Any train or embroderies?
