I requested for Miah. You will be meeting with the person who is gonna pick up your call..
Miah is a guy who is a senior designer and set up with amanda for amanda lee wedding..
I am not sure about pearlyn pricing.. should be the same i guess.. but Pearlyn is very soft and nice too..
Their service is nice.. they let me try two gown.. fall in love with the first gown and that monday, i went down to sign immediately with Miah.. hahaa..
they have many type of gown, you need to tell them what you like...

Hello! anyone here using ChrisLing photography with SIL gowns? Seems like everyone is using lightedpixels instead?! I was just quoted by CL that a package with SIL is 4800 for the standard stuff but very few photos.. wondering if the package is the same with other photographers that SIL ties up with? also, are there any hidden costs that i need to take note of? I see that alot of pple mentioned need to top up for various additions to different gowns.. haven't made a trip down to SIL so hope someone can help me out here before i make a trip down. Thanks!

Have you called to set the appointment? You should so that you can feel the service. But wkend they are quite packed, so you have to prepare yourself to wait for them to serve you
not to worry, I find Kim to be very friendly and attentive once she turns her attention to you. She will listen to your questions and requests and gives suggestions. If you have more questions, feel free to post them in DC section

So far i've only met kim once n i feel very comfortable with her..she is very approachable n sincere..and she's honest..like if u request for smth, and if she tinks it's nt suitable for u, she'll tell u straight...she's experienced and very attentive..like having browsed thru my magazine tear-outs and upon knowing my wedding theme & wedding venue..she gave good advices to help me zoom down on my selections and of coz she also considered other factors like my age/personality/build..

I would like to ask, if most of you who signed with SIL do MTM evening gowns.. or Off-The-Rack?
Cos I paid a visit recently but find their EG collection very small.. and most EG are small sizes, if you like the design but can't fit you, I was told you have to top up $400 to do a MTM EG..

Charlotte: If u take up their package, it comes with a MTM EG. I believe most Sil brides and btb take up their package and that explains their smaller variety of off the rack EG.
Hello charlotte! The basic package is OTR WG(rental) and OTR EG(rental). I topped up 300 to MTM the top of the WG and another 300 to MTM(to keep) the EG. For WG, the most you can choose is off white, cream or white. But for EG, there are so many colours to choose from. Even if the design is nice, the colour may not suit you. Maybe you can try looking thru all their OTR EG to check if you will be lucky enough to find one that suits you. Alternatively, u can get ur EG elsewhere and just get the WG from them. I think they are very flexible in terms of what you want in the package. =)

My package includes OTR WG, OTR EG, 3 sessions of makeup and bouquet and car deco for actual day. I think it was 3880 when i signed up. Additional 300 if you want to MTM the EG, additional 1000 for tulle ballgowns. I am with caroline and experience has been very good so far. They are very easy to talk to and willing to accomodate addition of crystals or other things to ur gowns to make it different from others. Changes like mtm-ing a new top for the WG will be at additional charge though. Price is higher than the average bridal shop but you can be sure that the gowns you wear are made for you and not something that has been worn before by many brides. Hope that helps! =)

just went to SIL last week and was so upset over their service.. the designer just could not be bothered to show me the WGs and EGs.. and the colleagues were so unhelpful..

Latte, I went during weekday lunchtime (HTB does not accompany, so gotta go myself during lunch or after work, so can leave weekends for him)..
they had just opened & there was just another customer doing her fitting only.. so seriously, i dun understand why the lack in service and communication between their staff..

Oh, in that case, their service is not good. First time I went there - service was ok.
second time - service ok but the price of the same gown that I tried previously (I met with different designer for the second time) increased by 50%! I was shocked
third time - service was unsatisfactory. Like "take it or leave it" attitude. So I go to another bridal and the service until now is great!

Latte, which bridal shop u go to? Can PM me or email [email protected].. Cos I went last week the service was super good but at the same time I'm terrified too.. Honestly I really love their gown cos that's the style that I like with some shimmer on the gown.. Can MTM the top with top up $300..

they quoted me 4.5k for the package with tulle gown, but without men suit... I guess that's still alright then?

Jun: I visited ALW once too and loved Miah! He's so approachable and full of ideas. Sad to say I'm not signing up with them I felt that their designs didnt suit that I had in mind. All the best! =)

I kinda like SIL gowns cos from their pictures, they seem to have many low-backs.i have a tattoo on my back and there's a lil problem finding suitable gowns that wont cover/cut it half-half.

I hope so too! And nope, my AD is so far, early 2013. So we're actually just starting research without going to any of them yet.
Right now we've only just signed up a package with Mikan for PS. The rest still researching. heehee. New birds like me need and appreciate guidances from experienced BTBs like you!
