hi gals,

just had my wedding last week.. and it was a truly memorable day that i ever had, the evening sunset was great (where i had my solemnization).. music from the stroller band added effects to the mood.. and with the bubble machine that i brought along... everything was perfect.. my dinner started at 8.10pm and ended on time..

the crew and the staffs worked hard to make the banquet a success!! thanks guys!!!

and to the BTB and other considering RASA... you won't regret choosing RASA cos you can't get the greens.. sun.. sand.. sea .. elsewhere in singapore... everything was so relax... so far away from city.. no noise.. no car horns.. no busy traffic... no busy and fast walking pple...

Just had my wedding luncheon yesterday!! It was a great success - a wonderful & lovely by the sea wedding!! Many many thanks to Rasa's wedding & banquent team especially Perry, Lynn and the operations manager!! Specially Thanks to "L" Perry for being such a great help to all my requestSsss... & had been the most helpful wedding planner despite my endless calls!! =P
The whole banquent was indeed memorable & my guest complimented the food was great!! too bad i didn't have time to taste it esp the Hashima dessert!!
Thank God I have chosen Rasa as my wedding venue!! Didn't regret it!! and manage to see the "Starry Starry Night" in the evening.. super romantic esp after the whole event!!

Looks like we have to further update our listing with some of the wedding over. I am next in the line.. hope I will have the same best experience as CN, Moon, Yun n many of the rest.. really looking forward to it.

Hi all,

I'm about to book my AD at Rasa, but really worried about the parking issue. I'm worried that the older folks will complain! I have been to Rasa last Sat at 5pm and parking's already full! I have read some of the comments from past Rasa brides.. Do you all really think that it won't be an issue?

hihi.. don't think it's much of a issue for parking as coaches will be provided for your friends & relatives & the beach carpark is nearby with a Rasa coach there every 5 -10 mins. everything could be arranged. It's worth it with the wedding experience in Rasa Sentosa.
 
Hi All, just to made some ammendments.I have changed my AD to 30th Mar, at the ballroom cos i need more tables..

After reading so many gd feedback bt RASA brides, im more reassured..but still scared abt the parking and also the timing..we hope that staff is adequate that nite..=)

Hi Libra_Ger (librian_01), i tink i will go to the max?(50) supposed to have a longer alise, but need to cut back ard 4 tables..but we havent ask them who going..we only writing down the list we wana invite..but i tink more or less they will come?
Sigh..quite a headache
 
hi connie,if not wrong, the pavilion have 2 pillar and siloso ballroom is pillarless...
as for projecter i dun think they will be provideing... u have to source for your own

Im new here... Adding to the numbers, i will be holding my AD on 22 dec 08.

I have yet sign the contract as im still considering..

Just to ask if anybody's planner is shirlene is she flexible and good to get along with?

My initial plan to hold my AD on a weekend. However, either there are no more dates available or i cant meet their min requirement.

And also, did anybody try their weekday menu? isit gd? is the response gd (i.e. many plp attend)?

Sorry too many qns but im really nervous to find out more... (^o^)
 
Hi nervousbaby (nervousbaby), my coord is Shirlene too and my AD is 30th mar this year. She is very friendly and very helpful, so do not worry. I believe what she can give, she will give to us..=)
 
Emily's our AD coordinator and so far she's been super helpful and absolutely knowledgeable when it comes to understanding our needs and requests etc. Those considering Rasa, look for her, no regrets.

hi sther thanks for the advice, she is indeed beri friendly..

but one thing i worry is tt rasa does not hv any colour theme and their chairs are all draped with white cover so its abit plain..

any idea to make it more attractive??

and also after selecting the banquet and BS wat other major tings tt i need to prepare??

one more qn do u gals find tt its beri hard to find a new flat??

my FH and i hv been trying beri hard to get the BTO & bio monthly sale but all to no avail.. (so sad)... wondering hw??(puzzled)
 
Hi nervousbaby (nervousbaby), ya, as compared to other hotels, rasa does not have any special theme or fantastic decor, but i guess having yr wedding at sentosa ia already special. If u want, u can get yr florist to add flowers behind yr VIP chairs to make it more special. Saw it in mags, and its quite nice..

Have you signed up package for yr gowns etc? Cos after settling yr hotel, you wun need to worry so much til maybe abt 2-3 mths before? then u can arrange the flowers, wedding favors, coaches with them..
 
Finally, my wedding is over... it was a wonderful experience for us.. we have upgraded to weekend menu although we hold it on Fri... our guests compliment that the food was very good and the portion was huge. No complain from our guests on that nite and my BIL commented that the Banquet Captain was very responsive and prompt.

We were warmly welcome by Rasa on the day we checked in and they were very thoughtful throughout our stay.

A little hiccups on the favours.. as we have some missing ones which can't be explained. So i suggest those getting own favours to get at least 10% more than the expected so that even if there is any missing ones, it will still be sufficent to cater to all..

My boss commented that the nuts serve during cocktail was very nice.. they even ask the waitress where to get those nuts.. haha..
 
sther i agree fully with you.. initially i tot of bringing my own florist to decor the place, after a second tot, frankly speaking not many wil notice if we hv tied ribbons or anyting behind their chairs..

so i decided not bring spend extra, save it for my honeymoon...hahahhaha...

oh i hv signed up with YC...abit regret after readin abt all the bad comments. but to tink abt it, since i have ard signed, just make the best of everyting and hope tt everyting goes well...

hallo

can anybody advise me what is the cost per table for RS on weekday / weekends for 2008? dont seem to be able to find any info on the net.
 
mine was last fri... weather at rasa was beautiful.. we had our solemnization at the lawn and Shirlene had the place beautifully set up for us..

our guests also find pavilion very nice except for the piliar that obstructed their view on the projector screen.

no regrets in choosing rasa and the pavilion.. best of all... i got alot of praises on my gowns.. tat really makes up my day

yes.. what time were u there? the suite is indeed nice and cosy and it face the beach and the sea... we got level 10.. very nice view...

my BS is Sophia Wedding Collection! no regret choosing them too cos their gowns are really wow... as claimed by my guests =)

Hi Libra_Ger (librian_01), glad to hear that yr wedding was great! Congrats!! how was the turn up rate and the transport etc? was it ok? my main concern is actually the transportation and the parking..cos the carpark there is small!

Hi totoro gal (totoro_gal) , i do not know the current rates now. You might want to call them up to inquire, or go down to the fair. I signed up at the fair last year. Much cheaper and more freebies..so v worthwhile!
 
Hi Sther, we had around 95% turn up on tat day! we distributed around 120 car pass and so far, we have not heard of any complaint from our guests abt transportation issue. there was oni our wedding event that night so I suppose parking at rasa was sufficient.. some guests claimed that they park their car outside Rasa...

infact some of our guests were just as excited cos they have not attended wedding at rasa before =)

ya actually im also beri worried abt the trasportation especially for those who r driving.. worried tt they wil get lost along finding their way..

Libra_ger im there ar 3+ and left at 4+..wo tts cool facin the sea...just like a romantic mini honeymoon...hahahahahaa.. where u gg for ur honeymoon??

yup, it is really a short honeymoon stay in rasa.. we had another r&r stay the following day.. and were treated with dinner complimentary from Rasa ... hee

my 1 nite in suite and another night in executive poolview room... but felt good to relax after the busy day =)

Rasa has a total of 190 lots.. suppose if there is only your wedding on that day, parking should not be an issue.

For those we are going for solemenization or who have gone thr the solemnizationa at the beach, how much did you all pay for it?

Also do you think is worth it? For those who have already gone through the somlenization at the beach.

my HTB and I just signed up with Rasa last sunday during the bridal show. We love the sun, sea and sand. was too mesmerize with our imagination of holding wedding there. haha.

this is what is included in our package (AD 15th Feb 09, sunday)

- 3 coaches
- freeflow beer
- waiver of corkage charges for 42 bottles of wines
- waiver of duty paid liquor
- one night bridal suite stay
- free food tasting

i also won a $800 FIL skin and body care facial voucher during the bridal show.

i'm intending to hold my banquet at Pavilion, but Rasa is actually the ONLY hotel i've been and we decided.. not sure if we're too impulsive though. Any comments anyone?

Wow, u signed up for 2009 banquet? It's already the new 2009 pricing or >$900/table right. How many tables do you have?
 
Hi blissful (buttercupcakeshop) , same here..Rasa was the first hotel that i went to and oso signed up during the fair last year. Next sun is my AD le..so fast..but heard some sad news abt my coord..Just hope everything goes well that day..=)
