Seeking opinions from ladies

Ha ha...at risk of starting another debate, i'll just say that it's not sarcasm. Since they (including u) have contributed so much to this forum, they have been there and done that i.e. engaged in debates. They know how to deal with such disagreements.

Big Ego, me far from being upset. This is virtual world.

Me have debated with quite a few forummers, Milo included. But we still on "talking" terms. Though I may disagree with Little Woman on one aspect, I won't wilfully, blindly stay in a disagreeable mode with her all the time.

Aiyo Doll, y u keep saying this is a virtual world????? its quite real here mah.... the topics that all of you are discussing here.. n by the way, my friend who intro me to this forum has already met up w some of her friends she spoke to.... so in a way, we can make friends here too... it may not be tat virtual after all mah.. rite... : )

Hee little woman, some of the stuff u say make sense.... bt seems a bit against the normal thinking of most people... bt interesting thoughts... like it... : )

Hmm seems this place is a good place to witness some serious debates... haha so it seems my friend is telling me the truth when she told me that i culd take part in some serious debate in forums....

hi all, hmm seems a bit quiet here ya.... Haha i shall start something here then....

Can i ask the females in this forum, what do they look for in their husbands, or rather is there anything that they expect from their husbands? Maybe like understanding the wifes, giving them moral support, etc?
Guys please feel free to comment too. Cheers. : )

Big-ego: Different people have different expectations and perspections on how they want to sustain their r/s and/or marriage. Personally, I would prefer my HB to be my bf, lover and soulmate. I don't need branded goods, landed properties but more on able to connect with me on an emotional and mental level.

Littlewoman: So you would prefer ur HB to connect with you more on a mental level as compared to the things he is able to provide you... bt hw does a girl know or determine if her partner is able to connect w her on a mental level? I mean i might be speaking for most guys, but its quite true tat most women have swinging emotions. How does the guy keep up with tat?
Or for eg, sometimes even w/o my partner speaking her mind, i am able to forsee or predict what her next action or sentence is going to be, bt sometimes, i can't do so.. is that falling short of my ability to connect on an emotional and mental level w my partner?
And when both guy and girl have certain plans and are working towards that common goal, is that considered as able to connect on a mental level?
Apologize if i am being intrusive w my questions as i would like to understand more of what a girl looks for in a relationship(married or not).....

BIG Ego, are you in a relationship? Married?

Last time when i was younger, i looked for guys with 'marryable quality', eg. education, career, stable, smart, practical, tall, etc .. Maybe it's due to my upbringing lo .. And fate let me found such a man and i married him. But i overlooked a few more important points, ie. mental connection, lifetime communication and lifetime passion with each other .. Well, i just have to make-do with what i've chosen more than a decade ago lo ..

PinkTweet: I'm currently married... hmm sounds like u r feeling destined to make do w wat u have ya?
My r/s w my wife is good at the moment bt as i have mentioned, certain times i am unable to grasp wat she is feeling and m nt able to 2nd guess her emotions. Is tat normal? Although it has been the case during our courtship bt i m nt sure if it shld be the same during married life.
I am the kind of happy go lucky guy, while my wife is more of the go-getter kind. So sometimes our opinions or methods differ.... And it does nt help that she has been working longer thn me(Thanks to serving our country), and her working environment, i feel left behind in certain aspects, mainly the thinking and way of approaching stuffs....
My wife feels that i m still quite 'lam nua' in certain aspects bt i am trying hard to improve in tat sense...
Although it does nt really affect us in our r/s, bt of coz arguements on this has happened quite a few times... So i was wondering if this is normal for couples of the same age??? : )

Big-ego: it is pretty normal, as women tend to mature 3 yrs earlier than men. That's why some of the women prefer older men. Your wife finds you "lam nua" in terms of career prospects or the future prospects of progressing yourself?

If it is about the jobs prospects, this is pretty the norm as we works in the society as compared to the guys of our age, but the keypoint is do you know what you want to achieve in your career path? Most of us can still be floating, not necessary applying jus to guys. My friend who is a sch teacher doesn't know what she wants as of today as well.

Littlewoman: Hmm i think she refers to my career prospects... coz she finds tat my currentjob like nt much prospects... bt i m trying hard to find a new job le..bt like i told my wife, i w only be able to change jobs next yr....
I m nt really floating in tat sense, as i more or less know wat i wan bt just yet to find a job tat i m able to fufil my potential...

Big-ego: is she in a better prospect job than you? If yes, it explains a little of why is she feeling this way. Perhaps you might want to try explaining to her of what kinda of job you are looking at and assure her by taking some actions, like looking around for the vacanies.

Littlewoman: Hmm sort of lah... mine more administrative work, while hers more mangerial level kind loh... hmm got lah, gt do a bit le.. bt i told her i will do more next yr coz i only thinking of changing next yr leh

That provides an explanation in one way or another ya.

Littlewoman: Tat means???? Have u n ur partner been thru such pro before? Did he react in the way u would hav wanted him to? Do guys normally just keep quiet n go looking on hw to further his career prospects or do they sound up n say tat they luv wat they r doing n in time to come they will come gd??

Big-Ego: In a way yes... My HB and I are of the same age and like what you had mentioned in your earlier posts, guys tend to lose out of that 2 yrs in one way or another. I have progressed a little ahead in a way, been discussing about such issues in the past, but no longer now, wouldn't want it to be causing any drifts. Noone is happy to always be reminded of what is right / wrong and/or how to progress on the next step.. I am sure like my HB, you have your own mindset on when is the time to take on a further step ya.

It is mre impt to have a clear goal and objectives of what you are looking for actually. Try not to go too much in circles...

Littlewoman: True true... I mean, nt to say i find my wife naggy or wat. But i hav already made known my plans to her n sometimes, just sometimes this topic w come up again. She will say i duno hw to behave or act like i shld as compared to other ppl, etc. I mean i m who i m loh... Yes i agree i might nt look or behave as mature as the rest but its nt as if i m behaving like a kid rite, hahaha.....

Haha norm? okok thn guess i better get used to it... hopefully things will change for the better once i get a new job and hope to change the way i see and handle things too... : )

Communication is always an important tool in a r/s, perhaps your wife and you are viewing things differently from a different angle, discuss with her on what you had intended to do, this might put across certain assuarance for her as well.
