enivi28,
Yupz, I'm taking both function rooms. I'll probably end up with 8-12 tables, still trying to work out my guest list. As I have too many tables, I won't be able to use Chihuly room for my ROM so thinking of holding the ROM in the suite.
I think for your case, the 6 flower stands will be for the ROM side, where you'll do the march-in.
But you can request to have them place anywhere you want.
For me, I'm only inviting relatives and a few close friends to the ROM in the morning. After that we'll serve tea. I estimate it will take about an hour, then we'll go down to the dining room and wait for other guests such as colleagues and friends to arrive for the lunch. So for me, if I need to move the flowers from the ROM suite (or wherever I decide to hold it), its gonna be complicated. But I suppose relatives wouldn't mind so much about seeing 'moving flowers'. Haha.
But for your case, as the rooms are side by side and if your guests for the ROM are also the same guests for the banquet, I think Joey and CC Lee wouldn't recommend you moving the flower stands from the ROM room to the dining room.
Coz I did asked them before and they said it will not look nice in front of the guests to be moving stuff.
I'm not having the buffet, will be doing a sit-down set. Mine will be a lunch event. But my parents want the dinner menu as they said it looks more presentable. Lunch menu is only 6 courses while dinner is 8 courses with more 'expensive' stuff. I think we're sort of prepared to make losses as we offering dinner menu during lunch. But oh well, once in a lifetime...
But I'm thinking of doing 5 courses with dessert buffet. Still working out the menu, I must have driven Joey crazy by asking her to email me the quotation everytime I come out with some menu changes.
