Hi,

I had my AD wedding banquet recently at PJ @ KeppelClub.

I still have one (1) table to let go.
I can send you to menu details and pricing.
The seating capacity is up to 10-11 ppl.
It can be consumed by end of this year.

You may use it for any kind of celebrations e.g. birthday, special occasions and if you would like to try their actual wedding food before commiting to any kind of contract (with min tables).

1st, my wife requested a long table near the walkway for the cupcakes and display the wedding photos, Planner say ok, end up when AD, we reach there, they did not prepare the table, waste some time waiting for them to setup - small issue so never mind.

2nd, as we did not want to pay the copyright issue for the march in songs, so we decided to select one from them. Guess what happen: when the dinner abt to start, they say the song i had selected was the slow version, which is unsuitable for the march in, request me to select another song. Hey, the songs are from them and yet they don't even know which ones are suitable anot. - Temper start to build...

3rd: As I did not bring any red wine on my own, And most of the guests are elders, do not really exoect them to drink red wine,so I told the banquet manager to limit to 10 bottles.. Oh who know .. 10 bottles really finish during the time i was preparing for my 1st march in with the banquet manager assisting. The waiters told my relatives there is no red wine.. I was told only after my march in, so i told them to make it unlimited. I was wondering how come the planner did not inform the banquet manager so that i can make a decision on the spot during the time i was preparing for my march in.. Fine... abit of miscomms. but no one make the effort to go back to the guest and told them red wine is available..

3rd issue: This really pissed me off, I brought 12 bottles of Martell. And end up only 2 bottles used. Some of waiters told the guest there is no liquor .. What the... The staffs got a briefing before the dinner starts and end up no one inform them got Martell to serve.. Kaoz.. Make me and my wife look like a stingy couple.. End up both side of relatives complaining only soft drinks are served..

This is really a bad experience .. consider myself suay as i got the planner who is doing it the 1st time.. became a guinea pig..

I would suggest you bring your own red wine.. charge quite ex for a bottle. You need to pay attention to such details to prevent screw up like mine..

Lastly the only good thing abt the place is the food. All of my guests comment that the food is very very good.

I had mine recently and did not encounter any issues at Peony Jade Keppel Club.

There is a restaurant manager in-charge on that day and he is very experienced guy, having worked in 5-star hotel previously.

They will conduct briefing before the wedding banquet together with the emcee and co-ordinator to make sure everything runs smoothly.

In fact, my table includes 1 wine per each table, with free flow of beer and soft drinks.
The beer is brew from The Pump Room and quite a number of guests commented that it tasted good.
There is no cockage charges for any wine or hard liquor bring in (for my contract).

My menu is 8-course which includes:
Shark’s fin, live grouper fish, 2 head Aomori abalone, jing-du pork spare ribs paired with sumo prawns with creamy yolk, golden crispy skinned duck.
Also included: 1 bottle of Red Wine and 10 glasses of beer.

I still have one table (10-11 pax) to let go and can be use for any occasions / celebration.

Hi, anyone held their banquet at PJCQ recently? Wld like to ask abt the copyright issue on montage. Did anyone of u paid license fee for this?

For the theme, I selected the maroon theme and I thought it looked really elegant (I love red of all shades!)

And yes, we did pay for the copyright license for the montage

hi all, as the big day draws closer, still cant believe we are really getting hitched...so happy hehheh/

I also am having my banquet at PJ. signed up coz comfortable with the lady who assisted us...the service was good from the phone enquiry right up to site visit. plus the pricing is really competitive...more value than hotels...so we just paid the deposit. My other half and I told ourselves to relax and not get too stressed up and turn into groomzilla or bridezilla...not easy coz it is our big day!

anyway all events sure got co*k up here and there (coming from marketing background and have to do events all the time)..so long as it's not major and can cover up its ok I guess...

counting down and hope Peony jade doesnt disappoint us...read the above post and hear from negative things so a tad worried but will be extra nice to the working staff there on AD...hope they will then put in extra effort for us....(I also hear horror stories from frens in F&B that if customers are bad to service staff, they can do funny things with food)...anyway just to be safe..

Do keep the reviews and comments coming...hope everyone has a wonderful AD!

We are deciding to have it around maybe dec 2012 or Jan 2013.
Going settle our BTO first den decide on the date in nov/dec.

Did u all show your montage for those that hold the banquet at the main restaurant?
Cause i understand that the screen is a portable one.. which is so awkward to me.. to put up for the montage and bring down from the stage after the montage. thinking of foregoing the montage thing, somemore i haven done it, n my AD is coming 5th May.. lolz.
What do u all think?
