Hi

Understanding there will be some pillars at the Emerald Ballroom, wonder how will the blockage of view be like for tables of 27? Thought of engaging a live band...All advice will be appreciated...

Junel, my wedding is in Dec...
Stacey/ Junel: I had the same comments for the fish, seems that its overcooked suring my food tasting, too rubbery... i changed my shark fins to other dish as well.

Joedeene: I am also worried about the pillars blocking the view of the guests and also during the table photo taking session... I trying to keep # of tables to below 30.

Stacey: I dropped you an email asking for the layout. Thanks.

Stacey: Neither me nor my HTB are fans of sharks so decided to change it. Also, I have a couple of friends who cannot digest shark fins... so might as well change it. The 8 treasure broth also very sumptous, with abalone, sea cucumber, fish maw etc...

Junel: How is ur food tasting? I am a Dec bride as well..

mine is 2 days ahead of u on 11Dec..
I am also stressed, with all the nitty gritties now...

Hi ladies, i am looking at Park Royal Kitchener Road too. I am having at least 40 tables, however, i heard that the maximum that the place can go is 45 tables? Is the dinner held in the ballroom or in the restaurant itself? I understand that the food for the dinner will be cook by Hai Xiang Restaurant, right? Please correct me if i am wrong.

Well, i read from 2008 posts to now, can i say that the reviews from this Hotel is good?

1) Food?
2) Services?

Just to check anyone fo you had already been thru their wedding dinner can you gals share with me?

Lastly, are they gonna have any wedding shows any sooner?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Vanilla, you are right! The ballroom can take up to 45 tables, but the pillars might restrict ur guests view. The food is cooked by the restaurant Hai Xiang.
I just went for my food tasting in early Oct. Food was generally ok, services wise, no idea yet as my dinner is in Dec.
Stacey, you had your dinner aldy rite? how was the service?
I know they just had a wedding show in Sep this year. I think they have only one wedding show per year... But you can just contact them and they will get back to you. I went to look at the place on a separate appointment which i think is better coz the banquet staff can then bring you around to look at the place and answer all the questions that you have. Generally, the experience has been good sa far. I am going for my detailed meeting soon.
Btw, when's ur wedding?
Hope this helps!!

I am looking between Oct - Nov 2010, on weekends. How many tables will you be having? Did you ask for any additional perks? Changed any dish in the menu? How much is yours per table? I saw one is at $738. ;)

Mine is on a Friday... also considered weekend... i will be having abt 30 tables.
The perks are about the same when you sign up, I signed up during the wedding show last year and there were some perks coz of the credit card.
mine is 700 for 9 course. Prices are going up for 2010. I am going to change dishes, dun know how it will affect the price though..

Wah.. $700 per table ar.. *envy* now on weekends also need $738 for 9 courses leh.. Ya lo.. later getting more and more expensive..

I still have not sign up yet.. As i am waiting for the Banquet Fair in Jan.. Not sure whether Park Royal Kitchener Road got participant a not.

Was thinking maybe during these kinda fairs can ask for more perks. Or not necessary during Banquet Fair then can ask for better offer and additional perks? Anyone?? hee ;)

Vanilla, Ellyn, e overall service was good! Had a great n smooth wedding dinner!

Dun think need to wait until banquet fair as e dates u an may be gone by then..

u can ask for e perks which we had during e meeting wi them at anytime now..

Stacey.. is it? Ok shall discuss wif my hubby tonight and see what he says.. thanks wor.. ;)

Hopefully, the tables will not exceed 45. On hand now i already can confirmed 30 tables. However, my hubby side his grandma side's relatives still yet to confirm. Parents & in-laws friends are still not included. Having really a headache lo. *sigh*

Hopefully will not exceed 45.. My parents had decided not to invite their friends. Thus i guess the tables will be limited to around 40. However, my in-laws can only confirm with me on the 15 nov.. sigh.. Anyway, i called and ask Park Royal le.. Seems like they still have quite a number of dates to choose.. Hee.. But then scarly when i go down all dates kana choose le.. sianz..
