Novotel Clarke Quay


Hi Hi,

I am also having my banquet at NCQ Phoenix Ballroom. My date is 23 Nov 07. I booked the package last September, just a week after their wedding show. Got quite a good deal.

- Free 1 bottle of red wine for every table confirmed
- 2 nights stay at the bridal suite
- Free 1 table for every 25 tables confirmed

Think corkage is about $15nett. But after calculating, it is almost the same as getting red wines from NCQ. So we will get from NCQ instead.

you wanna consider Mr. Chan?

i have him for my ROM last Oct and i must say, his ROM was meaningful with the addition of lots of meaningful words, which add seriousness to the marriage... Mr. Chan have also a sense of humour (despite his age).

You might wanna check out the ROM thread, under Mr. Chan for more feedback abt him.

I intend to make appt with NCQ on 21st. Hope they are available.

Can anyone tell me who are the co-ordinators in NCQ? A fren of mine had a very bad experience with them 2 years ago and he told me that the coordinator is very impt for such event to make sure everything goes smoothly and accordinly.
 
HuiLing called me few days ago only...

she say she will be the coordinator for my wedding once i confirm my booking with NCQ.

Understand from her that Jamie n Syafie are the banquet managers that will be taking charge of mtg brides like us and clarifying our doubts on the package.. once the contract is signed, they entire function will be forwarded to the coordinators for follow up.

She was quite frenly when she called us the 1st time, but subsequently, call and keep wanting us to go down sign contract n pay deposit, despite the fact that the amended contract was not received.

ya, i ask her to amend contract, jus to include the check in time to the bridal suite, but din manage to get extra freebies.... (as u said, she is very persistent)

Mr. Chan is quite old abt 70+ (skinny man w white hair) and he speak fluently in both english n mandarin. (understand from some ppl frm the ROM thread that he used to be a teacher n is currently very active w his church events)

he conducted my solemization in both languages.. and i muz say, he is reali good.... (so the muslim frenz and the younger generation can understand well n the mandarin for my parents n granny)

just want to check what shd we look out for or include when signing the contract? eg like what tinkybell has mention to include the check in and out timing in the contract.

most impt is we should look out for the contract tally with what was agreed upon at the discussion w ur coordinator.

u may wish to note items like: cost of the package, minimum tables requirement, beverages, corkages, halal/vegetarian menu charges, perks like invitation card quantity, car park coupon quantity.

As for check in timing, where to put it down in the contract is very subjective. However Hubby & I decided that it would be wise for all details to be spelled out in black n white, as the contract is signed nw and the end product be obtained months later. We are jus concern that if the hotel turn their words, i have nothing to back me up so wanted all to be in the contract.

i've went down twice and now they are drawing up the contract for me... then after signing i will make the deposit liao.... currently under tentative booking..
 
hi dolphin, to me, the ballroom is quite ok.. except i find the march in abit short as compared to the hotels i went.. but i like the lightings hehe.. when u going to view the ballroom?

i cant decide whether to take o nt? heard they hv jus renovated the hotel, seen the exterior & the lighting in the hotel...wow very grand
