any one can share if the wine provided by novotel is nice or not up to std?
 
house wine taste ok but somehow im puzzled with how fast it was consumed during the banquet. I had 18 tables with 2 free bottles per table and my guests were 80% non-alcoholic. At the end of the banquet, i asked the manager how many bottles were left so that we could get the brothers to consume it but the manager told us only left 1 bottle..

So please get your helpers to monitor the bottles of wine during the banquet and tell the manager to inform your helper when a new bottle is opened.
 
I use the garden theme and change the backdrop to red colour, and the flowers at the side and on the cake to be red as well

VIP tables too, think change the colour to red to suit the flowers :P
 
hi gals, if you are using novotel, u can consider using dragon phoenix restaurant based in the hotel and the menu for ball rooms start from $828+ onwards (: which is cheaper compared to hotel packages.

or alternatively, you can held in their restaurant which is oriental and classics, host 25-29 tables (a few blockage, small stage, one video montage screen, vip rooms open).

their menu start from 568++ and heard their yam ring is the signature dish (:

I had my wedding last year July, their services on that day were good. I was very comfortable with the banquet manager as he made sure my gown stayed out of my way and calm me down before the march-in. All in all, I had a gd experience with them.

In terms of food, I find it all right, didn't receive any complaints from my guests so I guess it suits their tastes. =D Their red wine is gd though.
 
i am pleased with Novotel's service for my banquet last dec.. no complains.. it is value for money every cent though it may not have a very grand ballroom or reception. simple but cosy place.
 
My guests praised the food there..From what I know, the food prepared by Dragon Phoenix Restaurant..

Their red wine is good too. I didn't get to try but from the feedback from my friends, they enjoyed it alot..

Lis is my coordinator, overall is alright..

The only screwup is the banquet manager during my lunch banquet.. Really mad at the manager, so I complained to them about it..
 
@tatty003 I choose the mystic theme and phoenix grand ballroom.. its really quite big and its pillarless

@Desher i gt the wrong floor plan and only know about it on when the banquet is about to start..the banquet mgr does not know how to react and is of no help at all.. then kept rushing for the dishes to be served..i've nv been to any lunch banquet that is so rush 1..some more is my wedding, so of cuz will be angry.. then after the banquet. i feedback the mgr still can put words in my mouth.. so i wanted some1 to call me..cuz do till like crap still dun wanna admit..literally accusing me.. mgr aside, they're still my 1st choice..
 
novotel new themes are quite nice. went down to discuss with Lis about the details for our wedding in june and she showed us the new themes. can upgrade with 32 tables or pay 500...
 
I also went down to the wedding show... The new look of the cinammon ballroom is really great... Look so bright n nicer then the previous ballroom la... I like the new blue graden theme.... So happie la...
